About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Good for groups
  • Neighborhood gem
Roaring Fork is an American Western Bistro. We utilize a combination of ingredients indigenous to the American West and locally grown, including produce, to capture the 'spirit' of the west. The restaurant offers a comfortable, laid back environment that includes friendly professional service and the highest quality food. A great deal of attention is paid in creating the recipes and always using ingredients that are found in the American West. Western cuisine is not a ceremony; it's a celebration! The robust flavors and the courage to try something different is what we are all about. We would like to invite everyone to experience our 'spirit' while enjoying our food and hospitality.

The Roaring Fork's Wood Fired Cooking captures the spirit of bold American cuisine, creating flavors that crackle with a rugged edge. In the Old West, the best food was prepared on a simple wood fire. This same spirit, freshness and flavor are at the heart of every dish we serve.

Normally a really good experience, but every time I’ve gone recently unfortunately it’s gone downhill. Steaks were ordered medium rare and were definitely rare if not less than that (I tend to be okay with a rare steak, but this was not even that). Got the chicken bites (spicy) and had no flavor. Just fried chicken. Honestly only good thing tonight was the truffle aioli. Even the truffle fries didn’t have a lot of flavor. Unfortunately this was a disappointing experience.

We ate here on April 26th. I had the tortilla soup along with the rainbow trout with capers and string beans . The soup need a touch of chili flakes to give it some kick. The consistency was good but overall it was bland. The fish was cooked perfect. Grilled - topped with capers- it was crispy and moist. String beans were also excellent - firm and tasty. We also had the tomahawk steak. Cooked medium rare it’s was very tender. May have oreferrred they hold the topping but it was an excellent price of meat. We also had the Mexican strret corn as a side which was very good. The restaurant was clean but the bathroom could have used a once over during the evening. Overall a 4 plus .

Mashed potatoes tasted like buttered movie theater popcorn. Apple crisp was apple soup.

Pleasant Easter evening meal with family. Atmosphere was nice, a bit warm when we sat down, but eventually cooled down. Food was delicious and cooked very well. Server was pretty good. Had to remind him fill water glasses and ck on us periodically. Overall, wonderful evening.

The mashed potatoes were cold, sent back new ones were warm. Very dense, the gravy was solidifing on the table, not piping hot. The Mac and cheese was stuck the the skillet and very dry. The rest of the meal was good. Server was very.

Food was tasteless. While server was kind having to ask for water refills is pretty basic service. Party of 4 and while menu was nice options only one person enjoyed their entree. I even salted my Cesare Salad it had no taste.
