The food was excellent! I had the filet mignon wrapped in bacon, ceasar salad, asparagus and desert. My husband had Beef Short Ribs. Everything was fantastic! We finished up with wine that we both like. Seven, the waitress provided great service!
great steak and sides, great service. Usually I go for the Happy Hour, but tonight we had the Fillet special. I was wonderful.
An amazing dining experience in the restaurant; would never sit in the bar as to the lack of social distancing. But if you want a marvelous meal, have a seat in the restaurant for some of the best food in the city. You wont be disappointed and the service is top notch as well
Beautiful ambiance, great service & delicious food! Can’t wait to go back!
Great Happy Hour and professional Bartenders. Big A$$ Burger always fantastic.
We come here often and always had great food and service. This time around I was disappointed with the service. Although the food was good the ambience and service left a sour note. I understand that with Covid-19 being a huge issue and there are precautions being taken the service was mediocre. I ordered their green chili pork stew as an appetizer and I received a portion that looked like it had been sitting on the counter for awhile. I sent it back hoping to get a fresh portion but o received the same portion only fired in the oven. I hope to visit again next year and experience the service and food that the restaurant is known.
Great outdoor dining patio-loved that they require masks but bar was crowded. Glad we enjoyed the patio dining-the green chili appetizer is always fantastic. Great place for happy hour
They allowed me to make a reservation at 7:45pm and then my waiter told me the kitchen closes at 8:00pm. The steak (Delmonico) was excessively fatty. I was only able to eat a third of it before I began to feel sick. We didn’t wait for dessert we just left.
Excellent food, drinks and service. Not inexpensive, but worth it to treat yourself every now and then.
We have been here before and wanted to go back as we wanted to take advantage of restaurant week special menus. Roaring Fork had one of the best menus available and was a great choice for us.
We came to Roaring for both Restaurant week and happy hour. Since we wanted to join happy hour, we took our table in the bar. Service was great and quick. Drinks were wonderful. The food, we got the Delmonico steak and the salmon, were both incredible. I will go back in a heartbeat.
Only downside was it didn’t seem like anyone was really social distancing. With this place being so popular for happy hour, and was otherwise not too busy in the main restaurant, I would say it would be nice if during Covid that they offered happy hour throughout the restaurant to help provide safe distancing. I can’t believe how many older people kept crowding in the lobby and weren’t letting anyone stay safely apart... but that’s on Boomers with a death wish, not really on the restaurant. Maybe have an additional host help line people up outside on the tape and cut the amount of people allowed in the lobby at any point. Otherwise a great experience!
Food and service was excellent. We’d reserved patio and were told it wasn’t open, but they seated us there anyway (it was awesome with evaporative cooling). Only negative was server’s face mask continually slipped under his nose
Always great food and service at Roaring Fork in Scottsdale.
I just had dinner for restaurant week special with my 3 girlfriends.
Two of us had the same fillet. One was excellent melt in your mouth perfectly and mine quite chewy. (Just not a good cut of meat). I have to say they were very conscientious about replacing the steak. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.
Our waitress Roo, and the bartender we’re very nice.
The spacing of tables was great during Covid. The food was fantastic and at a great Restaurant Week price. The service was horrible. While the servers are all wearing masks, our server did not cover his nose, which defeats the purpose. It took almost 30 minutes to order. We never received a drink menu after asking for it twice. We asked for a box for the leftover food. The server took the plates, but never brought the leftovers back to the table. It wasn't even worth asking about it at that point. It took another 30 minutes to get the bill.
Service was impeccable. Food was some of the best we've experienced. It is very appropriate for special occasions or just to meet friends.
COVID dining was fine. They distanced us by staggering tables. All the workers were wearing face masks. Food was amazing and well priced because of Restaurant Week.
Roaring Fork is my favorite restaurant in Scottsdale AZ. The best food and the best service.
I loved it! I’ll be back next month when I come back into town! Everything was great!
Social distancing was in place as we ate outside on the air cooled patio. For the first official day of summer in Scottsdale, it was very nice.
Our server got lost several times. I had to try to track him down. I even asked, "did you leave?" and he said yes. He did nothing to make my husband's birthday special. It might be the mask but he had zero personality. Zero interest in us. He never once asked us how our meal was. I had to track other servers down for ice tea, a to go box, a wine list. ext... Really shabby service. I would have done better taking my husband to a Dennys.
Overall great food and service. It went above and beyond on what I’ve expected from a steakhouse. Definitely will be coming back for more.
The food, drinks, service, and overall vibe is always great!
The patio at roaring fork was fabulous! Our waiter was perfect and we enjoyed the best three hours of our week. We were socially distant, outside but cool and treated like family. The recommended wine was a excellent compromise for both of us and the recommended entrees were exactly what we wanted. We could hear each other talk and loved every minute of the evening.
Excellent food. Relaxing lovely
atmosphere. Wonderful service
All good for our first time. Unfortunately for some reason - my system did not agree with the green chilli pork 😒😕. Will try you guys again!
Go there often. Always Enjoy the ambiance, the food and the service. Food consistently good and a great value. Hope they go back to an extended happy hour. Maybe an occasional change in the happy hour menu.
Food was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable and made great recommendations.
An all-time favorite of mine. Eat here every time we come to AZ.
Difficult to find your way to the door. The building management has given us a path through damaged asphalt and temporary boards while fencing off the nice path across the front of the building for no apparent reason. Signage could be better but the entrance area is not at all inviting with all of the construction. Not the fault of the restaurant. Hopefully, the building management will remedy that fast. .
The food was good - great filet. The menu has been abbreviated but still has most of the classics. The initial service was slow but improved. Our server seemed to be suffering from his mask recirculating the carbon dioxide. There seemed to be a lot scurrying by many of the servers and staff as they seemed to be doing just one task at a time and the masks could have been contributing. Perhaps they need a break now and then to go outside and breathe without a mask. Hopefully, the pandemic will end and dining can go back to the normal.
The decor is pleasant if somewhat dark. People are well spaced. Food - filet and PorkChop was very good as usual. Also the pecan pie which I highly recommend. And the Cadillac Margarita is one of the best anywhere.
Honestly, we truly love Roaring Fork and will definitely return, however, we had a very “off” experience on Saturday, June 13th. We had reservations, they were not busy, yet, we sat and waited for a server, at our table, for over 30 minutes. We had to flag down another server to ask for assistance to finally get service. The person who helped us was semi-apologetic, but just brushed over it like it was no big deal. A manager never came by to apologize, it was just kinda a let down, considering we were out to celebrate our anniversary. It was very unlike the normal Roaring Fork experience. We will be back, but like I said, just an off night experience.
Service was awful. We love this restaurant but this was our worst experience there. Limited menu, no bread at the table, sides not brought with dishes etc it goes on. Server was a manager who could care less about helping us. We were there for over two hours with our 4.5 year old. It sucked.
Small problem with service but overall great experience
Go there all the time. Love the food and atmosphere . Terrific happy hour also.
The best restaurant in Scottsdale AZ. The double pork chop is fantastic.
Food and service good. Steaks are great here. Waitor attentive.
It was great but we were surprised the servers were not wearing gloves. (They did have masks). I wouldn’t have minded no gloves if I had held my water glass to be refilled but the server picked it up with bare hand which was just unusual as most other restaurants we have been to since reopening don’t touch your glass or wear gloves.
Food was amazing!
Menu is very restricted at this time. Booked table on patio, and were seated in semi-enclosed area off main restaurant (versus the nice outside patio off bar), which had no ambiance. This has been a favorite restaurant in past times, but our experience yesterday was quite different and disappointing.
Even with construction going on out front. Place is beautiful, quiet yet has a great energy about it. Food is perfect, diverse and alcohol list was pleasing with a numerous selections!!!
Restaurant was just getting back up & running since the re-open. Wasn’t a full menu or fully staffed, but the manager & server worked together for a decent experience.
