As always, Roaring Fork was great. I've been to both of the Austin locations, and definitely prefer the atmosphere of the Stonelake location. Expect to spend a fair amount of money, especially if you are looking to get steak, but it is worth it. Always delicious! The sides are best to share with the table, because they are a lot of food.
Great meal. Struggled with the patience level of our waiter. I do not appreciate feeling rushed.
Service was excellent but the food was a little under bar this time around. 16oz pork chop was a little tough and didn’t really sit well.
Staying near DT but well worth the drive up north. Good food same quality level as what you get at the RF DT. Great seating outside with a view of the water.
A good place in North Austin to bring clients for a great meal.
Continue to Love this Northwest Austin favorite. The space and setting are amazing. The food is exceptional with an adequate wine list. The service could be better... but where couldn't it be better in Austin!
The birthday dessert was delicious!
I have been to Roaring Fork several times before but not for brunch. We had a great table in the inside corner that looked out to the lake. It was not quiet but not loud either. We all had a wonderful meal. The brunch options were varied and reasonable in price. They also have $5, mimosas, bloody marys and margaritas. My Mimosa was made with fresh orange juice - very good! If the weather had been warmer we would have requested a table outside, my usual preference. Either way it was a wonderful brunch, great service and food. Our out-of-towners were very impressed. It was really nice to be able to make a reservation for brunch instead of waiting somewhere for 20 minutes or longer. We had a group of 5 and know that can be an issue.
Absolutely wonderful with great service. Fairly pricey though!
Excellent as always. Great food and great service. Always enjoyable
Delicious meal but pretty loud even in the dining room when it wasn't particularly crowded. Nothing like tablecloths or other soft fabric to absorb the noise.
Great food and great service. Some noisy children which kind of annoyed us - but overall an awesome anniversary dinner
We were Austin for a professional conference. We were staying at a downtown hotel and tried to get reservations at the downtown location, but could not find a suitable time. We decided to go to this location and feel we got the better part of the deal. Beautiful setting, great food and amazing server. He was friendly, knew the menu well, and was very accommodating. We were there on Friday night and had a table outside.
Excelente ambiente y muy buena calidad de alimentos, muy buen servicio y atención del personal
Nice place... we enjoyed the outside seating. Our food was delivered cold... mentioned this to the server. He didn’t offer a discount of any sort.
Had the fish tacos... beans were cold... tacos also but very good.
I noticed food was sitting on prep station too long... overloaded servers and too much time sitting...
Roaring Forks has never disappointed. From business dinner , family occasions , casual lunch, or weekend bar vist.
We sat for 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. There were only a handful of other tables occupied. My filet was well done but requested medium rare. Response was “oh sorry - can I fix it”. We were 20 minutes into our entree at this point. All service items ( drinks, entrees, dessert and bill) all took 10 minutes beyond reasonable. We do not plan to return.
Very good appetizers and steaks. My group of 8 was treated very respectfully and we wanted for nothing. Perfect night!
Sat in the bar area for lunch. I had a great meal (Mahi burger) which was the special. Thanks team. Good job
We had a great waterfront table looking out onto the lake next to this location. The food was excellent. We had the rainbow trout (always a favorite), and the pork chop was delicious. I really like the basil martini cocktail too! Very refreshing.
Great experience as always.
Thank you so much for an amazing meal, atmosphere and service!
We enjoyed our evening a lot.
Our anniversary was perfect thanks to you.
Friendly staff and very attentive service throughout meal. Wife had trout with asparagus for side and I had the special of the day prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes. Slight delay in getting meal but they were warm and well presented and were consistent with our order. Food was delicious. We shared the mixed green salad which was fresh and delicious. Always enjoy visits to RF and look forward to next opportunity.
We were visiting Austin and looked for a nice dinner on Easter Sunday. The Roaring Fork met our expectations. Good food, good drinks, and excellent service. A little pricey but not bad.
Having had dinner several times prior to this, i was very disappointed with this visit. It was easter sunday so i was looking forward to a nice dinner and cocktails. The menu was for brunch which wouldve been fine except for the extremely poor service that we received. The hostess failed to inform our party of the menu and our waiter had absolutely no intention of giving any type of decent service. When asked about the menu options his answer was vague and given with poor attitude. Upon leaving after a drink the waiter approached us and asked if we were leaving like he was happy to see us leave. Worst service ever.
Easter Sunday brunch! Great food, great value, great views!
I had a 1:45 reservation on Easter Sunday for me, wife and two daughters. We got seated right away but it took about 15 minutes to get our order in and then it took over a half hour to arrive. My meal was fried chicken with biscuits and gravy. My fried chicken was dark and overcooked (how did this even get on my plate to begin with?). The biscuits were somewhat hard and just crumbled when I tried to eat them. I was expecting biscuits that would be somewhat moist and warm but these just didn't seem fresh. The gravy was not even warm, more like room temperature. At this point my family was almost done with their meals so I requested just one warm biscuit with gravy. Well, that took 10 minutes so we just decided to go. The worst meal I had there by far.
Recommendations for Management: Check the food coming out of the kitchen BEFORE it gets served. Also, check the food in the kitchen and make sure it is fresh. Also, $3.25 each for two 8 ounce orange juices is a rip off. At least give one free refill for that price. Generally not worth the price they charge here but the name is popular so I'm sure things won't change and this review won't make a difference.
Roaring Fork is always great, but they could not keep up with the volume of Easter Sunday. Slow, Cold food and lots of excuses and missteps. Will go back, but not for special occasion dates.
I really enjoyed myself. When we arrived we were acknowledged immediately and then were seated at our table. I was seated exactly where I wanted to sit. The service was excellent! The food was beyond delicious!!!!!!!!!
The view at our table and location was very pleasant!!!!!!!!!!
I was EXTREMELY pleased and happy with my visit at the Roaring Fork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Roaring Fork !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Service was Great, Steak and Ahi Tuna, not so much. The tuna was very flavorless according to my girlfriend. I asked for the Steak medium, and It was most definitely rare, but we both ate most of our food since we didn't eat in anticipation and were very hungry, as well as trying to see if it would get better. The Green chili pork was fantastic, and the other two with us were very satisfied with their meals. I should have sent the steak back, and when asked about it they offered to pay for dessert since they knew I did not like it. I declined and they took care of purchasing the sodas for us which was very nice. Overall it wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me and I would recommend It, I just personally would not return. Overall 3 Stars from me.
Greeted right away, table was ready as promised. Outside dining was great. Exceptional service and food. First time there but will plan a repeat trip.
Food and ambiance excellent
Only downside felt pressured by our waitress to order.
Once we made it clear we were not ready she backed off
The food was very good. The restaurant was busy with big parties so it was a bit noisy. They have a lot of outdoor seating but we weren't sure how warm it was going to be so sat inside and it was a little crowded. There is a nice view of Quarry Lake, which I didn't even know existed. The lamb fondue appetizer was fantastic, and deserts were wow. Waiter was good.
Great food and service.
It was a great experience! It was our one year anniversary and I decided to take my girlfriend to this place for the occasion! I fee bad for not remembering the name of the server who helped us but he knew that it was our anniversary and took his time to let us know what they have as specials for tonight! The scenery was awesome as well! Overall, a great place for a special occasion!
We had excellent meals & service. Celebrating two special birthdays and they congratulated them with free desserts.
We had a Sunday brunch date. It was a nice day outside so we did the patio seating and the ambiance was wonderful! We started out with Bloody Marys and they were quite tasty. My date had the eggs Benedict and I had the smoked salmon Benedict and both our palettes were more than satisfied. Overall, a very memorable date with great food, great service, and an outstanding ambiance!
Brunch on a Sunday was great, even with a kid who’s a picky eater
New York Strip was Fantastic - Don't miss the Street Corn (the reason I come back)
Ate outside and was awesome. Love this place!
