We had family in from Montana, and wanted to let them enjoy a Texas steak. The evening was a disappointment. Our server was disinterested and lackluster. My nearly $50 steak was meh (I've had better at Saltgrass and Longhorn for half the price) it was very loud, but that's nobody's fault. My partner had a prime rib dish which was fatty and salty though her horse radish mashed potatoes were delicious. Our company enjoyed their experience because they had nothing to compare with. But next time we will take them to SaltGrass.
Altogether not so great.

A chain, but certainly doesn't feel like it. Great service, excellent food, good wine, nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner. Sat in the bar area. The food was a disappointment I assume due to the high demand that evening due to Valentine’s Day. I ordered the cedar planked salmon - the salmon was not cooked through and the green beans were raw. My husband ordered the spit roasted chicken which was way too salty to eat. We both got sick afterward. The fried avocado and crab appetizer was good and so was the service however may not be returning.

We went there for Valentine's Day. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter Rodney was very good and attentive. We had reservations and were seated right away after arriving. Will go back in the near future.

Our steaks were a little burned on the outside but they definitely made it right. I’ve had nothing but good experiences in the past. This one was good with that one exception. The management came over immediately and made it right. Thank you Roaring Fork!!

We come here about once a month. We love the food. The steaks are some of the best we have ever had. We travel quite a bit and eat at every steak house we can. The ambiance is great. It’s a very comfortable environment. You can wear just about anything. We prefer to keep it business casual because it is a nice place to eat. The green chili Mac and cheese is a must, it’s so good.

This is our favorite restaurant in the Austin area. Love the food. The mussels are the best we've ever had. We really enjoy eating on the patio when the weather is nice.

Cleanliness: 4.5
Quality: 5
Service: 5
Taste: 5

Booked a reservation with opentable for brunch with family while in Austin. We had 2 toddlers and a baby in our party and were accommodated accordingly with 2 high chairs and a foldable for the baby seater.
The hostess was great from her welcome to seating us immediately!

Tyler was our waiter. Our party was being seated as each person arrived but he did well to engage with each person and attending to our every needs.
We had the mimosas (which does not come with a carafe) but nonetheless worth splurging on another glass.

We opted for the fried avocado & crab to start. This dish has a lot of potential..however due to the overwhelming creaminess of the avocado chuck, you can barely taste the crab when eating it together. My special trick was requesting lime slices to squeeze atop the avocado and crab. This activates the other flavors in the meal and gives you a more complete taste.
For the entree, I went with the RF Tacos which comes with grits, fried egg, black beans & carnitas (I substituted my carnitas with the rotisserie chicken & added a side of fresh jalapeños). It was just as delicious as pictured
Others in the party had the RF Stack, Brunch Flatbread, French Toast, Pancakes (for the kids) and Benedicts.
The overall consensus was five stars across the board.
I rated 4.5 on cleanliness because there were gnats flying around and a few landed on our appetizers and would not leave.

Otherwise, great prices for even better food!

I haven't been in a while, although Roaring Fork used to be my go to place. What a pleasant surprise! I love the fried avocado with crab appetizer. We each ordered the filet, one cooked medium and the other well. They were both superb!

Waiter was not attentive. He did not fill water or tea glasses. We had to ask for things several times ( cocktail, bread, etc...). Often, he was MIA.

Salmon was good but not outstanding. Husband loved the special fish dish. Maybe, I just ordered wrong.

Elena, our server, was professional and courteous, allowing ample time to enjoy our drinks before ordering. The atmosphere was relaxed, the lighting flattering, and the tables spaced far enough apart to allow for conversation yet not hear others’. The medjool date salad is my favorite and our steak and pork chop were cooked perfectly.

I always love going there and taking guests there. Gorgeous location if the weather allows you to sit outside. The green chile mac and cheese is great. HOWEVER, if you order a steak (I got the filet), it arrives looking all alone on a platter. It would be easy enough to throw on some garnish and a blob of potatoes and vegetables. As it's served now, it looks very forlorn -- and you have to order sides, which should come with it.

Had a reservation for our business meeting/luncheon setup using @OpenTable. The table was ready when we arrived and we were seated promptly - which isn't always the case at other restaurants. The staff was great - attentive without being overbearing. The food was outstanding. The salmon was prepared particularly well. The seasonings weren't overbearing, the temperature was perfect. The views either through the windows to the deck and from the deck out over the water were relaxing and makes it feel like your somewhere secluded out of the city.

Had not visited in a couple of years and now I don't know why. The food was delicious tasting although the pastrami dip was a bit dry. The mixed salad with fruit and cheese was large and delicious. The guac was tasty and the chips had a nice crunch and perfect thickness for guac. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. Very enjoyable lunch reserved on Open Table.

Great meals and service, with one sour note. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay after the wine list had been taken away. What I got was an $18 glass of unexceptional wine. I didn't notice anything nearly this expensive on the wine by the glass menu, before it was taken away. I didn't remember any of the names on the wine list and left choice to the server's discretion. Mistake by me.

My only issue was that we did not know ahead of time that Happy Hour pricing was in the bar area only. We remained and enjoyed our meal, but I didn’t remember seeing that on the website. Still a great time!

I’ve eaten here several times and have always received excellent service. This time, however, the waitress spilled an entire glass of champagne in my lap. The accident itself wasn’t the issue; it was the follow up with the restaurant. There was no offer of a free drink or a free dessert or a free anything to compensate for the fact that I sat through the meal with my pants soaked to the skin with champagne that also had to be wiped off a leather purse and boot. I was charged for the drink. I’m disappointed in the quality of customer care on this occasion.

One hitch to an otherwise great meal and experience. My partner ordered the short rib, the order went in. We waited for our meals, and then in an unreasonable amount of time a manager I presume came to the table and very apologetically said they were out of the short rib. That happens, so it was disappointing, but the prob was, instead of the somewhat uncomfortable humble apology, or, perhaps along with a simple humble apology (he stammered, dragged it out, by the time he got out what was wrong, my son and I thought we were going to be kicked out of the shop!) offer to comp the appetizer in the least, or comp her meal in the best, or even her ice tea....goodness. the cost to the restaurant for comping a mistake they make is immeasurable for the good will and happy returning customer it creates. This is an upscale place, I know they know better. They should do better. I gave fair stars for this, not our server. She did well.
