This is possibly my favorite restaurant in North Austin. The food is always consistently good, the wait staff is always willing to offer suggestions and allow substitutions. It can sometimes be a bit noisy if there are a number of large business groups, but in general, it is a wonderful place to gather family and friends. It is my go-to spot!
An all around great experience. There are options on the menu for a variety of tastes and budgets and the quality of the food was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
Roaring Fork is always great and our go to favorite. After visiting a few dozen times the menu becomes a bit limiting
Food was outstanding, service was impeccable, staff fantastic!
Gorgeous patio, tasty food and reasonably easy to get into on a Saturday night. Only issue for us was service, for some reason we were only checked on once during our visit and our food took an hour to arrive.
The food was amazing. The low lighting gave a very romantic feel. Phil, our waiter, even treated my wife to dessert because it was her birthday. Will definitely be going back again soon.
The steak I had was excellent but my husband had the trout and said it was flavorless not even salt and peppered.
Service was great! Food was exceptional!! A must dine!!!
One member of our party had just recently been diagnosed with a litany of food allergies but our waiter and then the manager were so gracious about offering suitable menu modifications. As a result we ALL had a fabulous meal, great bottle of wine and a lovely evening. Class act! We will be going back soon!
Roaring Fork is one of our favorites, and this visit didn't disappoint. We enjoyed delicious brunch and great desserts, all in a beautiful atmosphere with attentive, friendly service. We will definitely be back!
The Roaring Fork is an exceptional restaurant, one of our favorite choices for a special occasion. The staff is top notch. You MUST try the Queso con Puerco. Nothing there has ever disappointed. The parking is not the best on a busy night but that is not an inconvenience for everyone.
Our waiter, Robb was outstanding as well as every one there. Morgan gave us excellent seats.
The Roaring Fork is a popular restaurant and deserves to be. When the weather supports the choice, outside seating is superior to indoor seating as the indoors can get loud and crowded.
The food is good and the portion sizes are appropriate. Our orders were fairly mainstream - wedge and Caesar salads, trout, and roasted chicken. These do not stress the kitchen, but do require some attention as they can be held too long and dry out. Ours were perfect, even though the restaurant was full.
The price was appropriate for the quality of the meal.
I would dine here more often, but it is typically full at the times I'd like a reservation. That's proof that a lot of folks have found the restaurant to be worthwhile.
Service was average. Waiter seemed to rush us away at first and later was nowhere to be seen. Overly priced. Food is good but definitely not worth the prices.
Loved the decor. Very good server. The pork carnitas are a lower-priced item that still tasted amazing in generous portions. (Unlike most of the clientele that night we weren't on expense accounts.) Overall a lovely cap to a few nights' trip to Austin.
My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. Great food, great service.
The waiter yelled so loudly he made my ears hurt; no exaggeration. He made multiple ride cross-table reaches. He dropped flatware. He was always in a terrific hurry. The prosecco was warm. My dinner was cold. My wife’s salmon was quite good.
We simple had a good time and the food was excellent
The braised ribs were the reason we always eat here. Now that they’re getting rid of it, we won’t be going back :(
Overall great experience. Location was little hard to find.
Usually good food and nice atmosphere, but this trip the tortilla soup was not what you would expect and the avocado chicken portion was cold and didnt warm when dark broth added, skip this on the menu. Rainbow trout was delicious! Parking can be a hassle, but still worth it.
Food and service is always great. You can never go wrong with Roaring Fork.
We liked the food but the restaurant was VERY noisy.
Great restaurant. Always enjoy this location. Food and atmosphere are wonderful.
The ambiance, service and food were all great! Good cocktails and menu selections. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and as an out of towner I would come back.
The Roaring Fork is a favorite for both business lunches as well as the happy hour.
Food is perfect and service is great.
The service and food were amazing! We initially requested an inside table but the day was so nice we asked for an outside table and they obliged us. The server was very well informed and also very friendly. He suggested a few appitizers and also some meals. We had the lamb chop appitizer and it was great! Our meals were amazing and the overall experience was great. We will deifinently be returning here.
Sunday brunch service was awesome. Food was delicious and the cocktails were on point. Did I mention the service was awesome??
Surprisingly awesome find. Thank you Open Table for the suggestion. Great location & ambiance.
We had family in from Montana, and wanted to let them enjoy a Texas steak. The evening was a disappointment. Our server was disinterested and lackluster. My nearly $50 steak was meh (I've had better at Saltgrass and Longhorn for half the price) it was very loud, but that's nobody's fault. My partner had a prime rib dish which was fatty and salty though her horse radish mashed potatoes were delicious. Our company enjoyed their experience because they had nothing to compare with. But next time we will take them to SaltGrass.
Altogether not so great.
Our server was great. Five stars for her! Service was fast.
Atmosphere was nice. not too loud. Service and food were amazing.
A chain, but certainly doesn't feel like it. Great service, excellent food, good wine, nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Love this place. Fun atmosphere and great food!
Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner. Sat in the bar area. The food was a disappointment I assume due to the high demand that evening due to Valentine’s Day. I ordered the cedar planked salmon - the salmon was not cooked through and the green beans were raw. My husband ordered the spit roasted chicken which was way too salty to eat. We both got sick afterward. The fried avocado and crab appetizer was good and so was the service however may not be returning.
We went there for Valentine's Day. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter Rodney was very good and attentive. We had reservations and were seated right away after arriving. Will go back in the near future.
Our steaks were a little burned on the outside but they definitely made it right. I’ve had nothing but good experiences in the past. This one was good with that one exception. The management came over immediately and made it right. Thank you Roaring Fork!!
We come here about once a month. We love the food. The steaks are some of the best we have ever had. We travel quite a bit and eat at every steak house we can. The ambiance is great. It’s a very comfortable environment. You can wear just about anything. We prefer to keep it business casual because it is a nice place to eat. The green chili Mac and cheese is a must, it’s so good.
This is our favorite restaurant in the Austin area. Love the food. The mussels are the best we've ever had. We really enjoy eating on the patio when the weather is nice.
