Yes have been to this restaurant several times. This time was very disappointing. It was a cold rainy day and I was meeting an old friend for lunch. Was looking forward to a warm bowl of soup and a good conversation. The tortilla soup was. Lmost inedible. Chunks of chicken fat, sour avocado on top and cold. I did have a very delicious cappuccino after .

My wife and I were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary! We were greeted by our server with "Happy Anniversary" when we sat down to dine. Food and service was spectacular! We will definitely be back

I’ve been here several times when visiting Austin and both food and service have consistently been top notch. Very relaxing setting on Quarry Lake is a good escape from city hustle and bustle.

This is our go-to neighborhood restaurant. The food is consistently good. The noise level varies so we avoid the noisier happy hour time. We like to go on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Phil and Eden were great servers. It was a beautiful evening out on the patio. My only suggestion would be to not limit the RF Happy Hour To only dining in the bar area. I have dined there several times but always in the bar area so this was the first I knew of the limited applicability of the happy hour. Something for RF to think about!!

When I booked the reservation I specifically asked for a quiet location in which to conduct a business lunch. We were seated next to a party of 6, at least, who were clearly celebrating and being loud. Exactly the opposite of what I requested.

Most enjoyable. Professional, courteous, attentive, and thorough. Great destination and meal. So much more inviting than downtown Austin.

We have been to this restaurant several times. My meal and my husband's was good. However, both of our friends' steaks were cooked incorrectly. They sent them back and by the time the steaks came back, the sides were cold. The manager did make amends for the inconvenience. The view is great off the patio. If you eat inside it is a bit loud.

One problem - servers always give check to male - pretty archaic. Five people in the party usually and woman often paying. Put check in middle of table or ask “who has the pleasure...?”

Always a good time at Roaring Fork! I had the grouper and my husband had a steak. We love their creme brule. Wine options are delicious and affordable.

For the cost, I and my wife were quite disappointed with the small sizes of the steak filet and sides. Additionally, we thought the inside was quite noisy and VERY dark. My friend had to use their phone's flash in order to read the menu as it was too dark. The person serving the steak had to use a flashlight so we could see if the steaks were done right, and they insisted we cut the middle of the steak to do so when they were served. That's annoying as I want to leave the juices in the meat until it has cooled some. A minor gripe was that they didn't come around often to refill our water glasses and we hadn't ordered any other drinks; and when they did come by, they mostly filled them with ice so that I had to ask twice for a glass of water with no ice in order to have drinkable water instead of a glass full of ice. Finally, I couldn't believe the total bill for 3 diners without any alcohol when the final bill came.

It should be baby friendly. They should have a diaper changing room. I had to change my baby's diaper in the stroller itself.
Waiters should be more attentive. I had ordered trout fish but got salmon. Of course they changed it but I had to wait for another 15 min with hungry stomach.

Decent place but overpriced for the value and quality. Horrible parking. The spaces way to small. Lots of opportunity for door dings even for standard size car. Too many other restaurants in area with better value.

The goat cheese and date salad was fruity and rich but balanced by the spicy arugula. The fried avocado with crab offered great textural variety and bold flavor. The grouper was well cooked and I enjoyed the rice/ lentil mix that it was accompanied with.

Always great service!!!!
The service from the bar to the dining area is somewhat slow but I assume that's an issue in the bar.
Waitstaff is superb but faster cocktail service in the dining area would be welcomed!!

Overall our experience was just "good". Not great by any means. Our waiter was not engaging or enthusiastic at all which made the experience overall less satisfying than normal for this restaurant. Our food was good, but again not great. We all ordered market steaks and none of them were cooked perfectly to order as each one was somewhat overcooked. Our sides, however, were delicious. I enjoy this restaurant and location and will definitely give them another chance.

Roaring Fork NW has a lot to offer. Unlike its downtown version, Stonelake is relaxed, modern yet traditional. The ambiance is energetic but also relaxing. The double cut pork chop rivals them all and the fish dishes are spectacular. We dine here several times a year and we are never disappointed. We were there Saturday night and it made a special occasion out of our dining with friends.
