Service was perfect
Seating and ambiance perfect
Hadn't been on a nice quiet dinner date in a while and it was the perfect first choice
Stupendous atmosphere the minute you walk in he door- friendly attentive staff
Mussels with chorizo are a must try! Have never had this combination before and would order it again in a second.
Excellent proximity to downtown theaters. Flavorful food; well prepared & presented. Excellent service.
Had a wonderful meal! Tom our waiter made the experience even better with his knowledge of the menu and great sense of humor!
Our server was extremely patient and accommodating to my 92 year old mother who wanted to taste wine after wine to find the right one. The service throughout the entire meal was outstanding. We each had something different to eat and every single dish was fabulous.
The food was amazing. I ate there in my party of 7 and I had excellent seats by a window that overlooked the busy streets of downtown Austin. The natural light, however, did not affect the quiet atmospheric lighting that the inside offered. I was surprised to see the amount of upkeep and professionalism of the staff and the restaurant itself. Our food did not take too long and was of great quality. As were the special sodas that the waiter noted were different than outside ones. I would very much recommend and am likely to visit again.
Very good food and very good service.
Great food and service. We liked the “vibe” at the bar.
The vibe of Roaring Fork was energetic and elegant enough for a very nice business dinner. The food was great. The steak was one of the best that one party had (it was enough to share). The pork tenderloin with the street corn was so delicious. I will be back when I am in Austin next!
We ordered what we thought was the dry-aged ribeye but were served a really horrible piece of meat that was very tough. We didn't bother to order a replacement.
On the bright side, the green chili pork was quite flavorful and very delicious.
The wait staff comp'd us the appetizer.
Great food, good atmosphere, George our waiter was fantastic!
My only gripe was that the parking I could find was $12 an hour. A recommended parking garage with a validated ticket would be nice but that’s something the owners may not have control over. I’ll definitely be bringing clients back.
One last thing though. Austin needs to get a grip on the electric scooter situation. I get it that it’s a “hip fad” but all of them laying all over looks like my childhood where we left our bikes wherever we stopped. It was an eyesore then and it’s still an eyesore now. Can the business owners in downtown rally behind this to the city council?
Very nice restaurant. The food was delicious. One of our side dishes came out to the table about 10 minutes before our entrees. My husband steak was a bit underdone . I had the Pork Tenderloin and it was delicious. The pecan pie had a burnt sugar taste that I didn't care for. Service was ok but could have been a bit more attentive.
The waiter kept taking everything off of our table, and in the process he kept staring at us making us very uncomfortable. Then when we ordered it just seemed like he didn’t care. When our food came out it was not cooked correctly, we asked for medium well and it looked like we got medium rare. With in doing so made my wife very sick. So it was just a terrible visit and for the price of everything there I was not impressed with what we had gotten in return....
The food was really good and I like how there is a variety of things to order on the menu, unlike some nice restaurants.
Food was really really tasty. My only feedback was that my prime rib came a bit cooler than expected, but it was supremely well seasoned especially with the horseradish sauce and the green Chile Mac and cheese was on point.
Reservation was great. the service was great. my salmon and open face philly cheese sandwich for lunch was also right on
Awesome food. Really nice atmosphere and exactly what we were looking for!
60 day aged Ribeye was something special. Fairly loud so be careful for this with issues hearing in noisy places. Food was excellent.
We had a wonderful dinner at the Roaring Fork. BUT; due to a large irregularity in the floor , on my way out I took a bad fall, broke my thumb and badly bruised my arm and leg. This is a huge liability for this otherwise fine restaurant.
Food and service were excellent even though the restaurant was packed. Noise level was a bit loud but acceptable.
It seems like the last three times we have been there. The service is very slow to greet you. We finally had to ask if there was someone to take our drink order. In general the service is fair, but the food is wonderful.
Our experience was wonderful. Our server Miranda was outstanding. Great date!!
We had two meals the fish tacos and. cedar plank salmon. We also had the cherry pie desert and flourless cake. The food was all good with the exception of the tacos. They were a bit mushy. Our server “Rib” was outstanding. Very professional and attentive.
We’ve been for lunch many times and had a fantastic experience. This time for dinner not so much. The worst part was the climate inside. It was a beautiful evening in Austin with low humidity and about 72° outside. Inside the restaurant where we were seated I would guess it was about 82° and close to 100% humidity. That did not help the experience. Also, it was 10 minutes after being seated before anyone came by to even give us water. We asked for ice water since it was so warm but didn’t get any ice. The queso con puerco was very good however! Service was slow even though the restaurant was not full. They also messed up my wife’s order. We will be back but likely never for dinner—just going to stick with lunch!
It’s been several ears since our last visit and we were pleased that the quality of food and service remains stellar.
Excellent Texas themed steak house in downtown Austin. If you are looking for an excellent steak this is the place
Delicious food, great service
Good food but noise level adsIs that the cult if we had time again since it was pouring down rain and yesterday sweet nothing
Rude staff. I ordered the prime rib and it was underwhelming
A bit overblown. Chicken had little flavor, fish was mushy. Expected higher quality at these prices.
It was overall a nice evening with friends before a show. Our meal arrived later than expected. There was a problem with the pork chop. It needed to be sent back. The steaks were excellent as well as the Mexican street corn. Management comped us 50% and free dessert.
Overall a great experience and the staff was amazing.
Great prime rib and redfish and cherry tart and mussels
The Roaring Fork was amazing! The green chili is the best and our waiter was excellent!
Summer was our server. She was wonderful. We will request her every time. Eaten there before and the service did not compare to the service we received from Summer. Food was fabulous. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Wish parking was better. They may have valet but we did not see it. It was Saturday night and a little noisy. But it was a fabulous experience and we will be back. Soon.
Went to celebrate my moms birthday. Great atmosphere, and service. My fiancé and I both got that prime rib steak and both were cooked to perfection. My mom ordered the same and she love it. Green Chile Mac and cheese was delicious. Great experience all around
Everything was perfect
The two step continues to be my go to. Never disappoints.
We had a wonderful evening, great food, fantastic server, and festive atmosphere to celebrate the coming wedding of our daughter and her fiance.
Sat next to a noisy business group and our service dropped to being ignored so they could cover this group. Personal never smiled even at greeting us
