Trey was awesome. The food was delicious as always. However we will not be going back with the homeless group right by the front door when you leave trying to get to your car and Uber
Food mediocre. Salmon raw. Retuned. Well done dry.
My daughter loved this place to celebrate her 11th bday!
I love Roarking Fork! Warm, comfortable ambiance, great service and excellent food.
It was a great dining experience! Wonderful food and service. My husband is very particular about his steaks and he loved the filet...I tasted it and I loved it too. I had the bacon wrapped tenderloin and it was superb! We will be back!
Great food, Great service, Reasonably priced. Trey was a great server!
Thank the chef for the wonderful food
Great experience! Haven’t been back in three years due to a move but it’s better than what I remember! Given the restrictions due to the pandemic, it was still the great Fork!
I had the most amazing experience. I actually proposed to my fiancé here. The host and my server were amazing and such a big help in me pulling this off. This location and staff played a part in the happiest moment of my life. Thank you guys so much!!!
We were promptly seated and the service was attentive. Beer list isn’t extensive, and the wine list is adequate. They do have Prisoner, which was great as always. We both ate the filet and it was seasoned and cooked beautifully. Perfectly seared and crisp on the outside, tender on the inside. The mashed potatoes and hatch Chile mac and cheese was good, too. We just wished we saved room for dessert.
The Roaring Fork in downtown Austin is a great restaurant for a special occasion dinner. We celebrated our daughter’s 19th birthday. She was very happy. Each staff member who assisted at our table wished her a Happy Birthday. Very special. Thank you.
Great friendly service in an accessible venue. Food was good and the wine selection was great.
Great tasting food and excellent service.
I absolutely loved our dining experience!! The food was delicious and service was impeccable🥰🥰 Thank you for the memory Roaring fork!!
We were seated behind the bar area as the main dining room was closed on a Monday night. The music too loud making conversation difficult. There was no need for loud music with so few diners in the restaurant at 6:00pm on a Monday nite.
Excellent food! Great service!! Highly recommend.
We visit Roaring Fork about 4 times a year and always look forward to our visits as we are not from Austin. It was very sad that the quality has been impacted by the current star of affairs. I feel like the quality will return, but for now, best to manage expectations.
Steak was utility grade. Not worth 48 cents, much less 48 bucks a la carte
Food was amazing and our server Marc was very nice and timely!
Food was delicious and environment was quiet and relaxing.
Great food as always. Maybe because of the civil unrest this past weekend - the vibe in the restaurant was uncomfortable. It was our first visit in two years to Roaring Fork so it was tough to go during the circumstances (we were not prepared for the overall status of unrest, homeless on the sidewalk area of Congress, etc.). The waiter was in a rush as it was getting close to 9 p.m. and he was marginally friendly. The QR code was something else we didn't expect for how to get the menu (don't have the app on my phone). Maybe just hand folks a paper menu at the door that can be disposed of? Maybe Roaring Fork could take more steps to make your wait staff deal with the stuff on the outside world and limit it (reactions to it) in the restaurant. Offer one free drink to patrons (wine or beer, or nonalcoholic)? Maybe not a bad idea for the time being.
Servers were great. Unfortunately the food just missed. Green Chile Mac n Cheese was dry. Mashed potato was good as was the asparagus . The Caesar said was very vinegary and the Waldorf salad was soggy and the chicken was dry. The bone in ribeye was cooked properly but instead of using cracked peppercorn, they over used regular black pepper to the point where I couldn’t enjoy my steak.
I love this place! Great food; lovely ambiance and decor; so glad they're open again.
Hard to evaluate the atmosphere due to covid... but the food and service were wonderful!
Always a pleasure dining here, celebrating or not. Great meal, great svc, always great food.
Highly recommend and encourage to anyone wondering.
Even in the times we’re living in they made us feel at ease and comfortable.
Roaring Fork is an excellent restaurant. They always make the dining experience so special. The food is upscale and high-quality for a great value. The employees are nice, fun, and welcoming. They even fixed me a chocolate torte that was no longer on the menu because I commented about how much I liked it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a great setting with great food, wine, and people. They also take strong cleanliness measures in light of the pandemic. I fully recommend this restaurant.
This is the best place on Congress. No exaggeration.
I know most people desire top end food but can not overcome the high-end pretentiousness that usually comes with it. You won’t get that here.
This is my third time to Roaring Fork. Twice with my wife for an anniversary. Once for a business trip. Each time I’ve ordered differently and have never been disappointed.
Valet parking is the way to go around the corner. Host is always classy and quick to it. I’m all about the dark and subtly Texas feel, some may find it too dark when you enter. It’s my vibe. Do yourself a favor and don’t plan a trip without a reservation. OpenTable is great.
Server was classy and knowledgeable to an impressive degree. Explained their macaroni side is homemade pasta with poblano peppers infused inside and the details of the cheese it was in and when to order the redfish. Wasn’t too overbearing or unavailable.
Food: don’t order the rainbow trout if you can splurge on the blackened redfish and don’t do that if you like steak. In that order. Redfish dish was excellent, we’ll composed. Flavorful but not intense. Steak=intense and perfect. No better steak on Congress for the price. Will be coming back again and again.
Support this place during the pandemic please. Great lengths taken to keep things clean and safe.
We had an amazing anniversary dinner. The queso was wonderful, my husband said the bacon wrapped tenderloin was delicious and my carnitas was great. Food was so good we got the dessert and the strawberry pie did not disappoint. We will definitely come back when visiting Austin in the future.
The service & food was great!!! I had the blackened redfish & my husband had the stuffed chicken they were Awesome!!
My dinner at Roaring Fork was great as always. I will continue to recommending RF to new comers to the area. You guys Rock!
Great food and service, very attentive waiter. Wonderful for date night!
Rib eye was ordered medium rare and was more on the rare side, but tasted great, perfectly seasoned. Asparagus and mushroom sides were very good!
Double bone-in pork chop was outstanding
Great food and great service! Will definitely return!!
Fast and professional service. Drinks, appetizers, and entrees were cooked perfect.
Always great. Remember to try the green chili pork stew.
Really enjoyed the meal. Food was excellent, service was effecient
Consistently exceptional restaurant in all regards.
Lunch menu has great variety and is very reasonable.
