The food and drinks are delicious!! 10/10 would recommend.
The food was just OK. For the prices ($22-$30) the entrees should have been much better. Overpriced. Mediocre. There are so many better restaurants in Austin where you can spend the same money or less and have much better food.
Restaurant was closed , due to the ice and snow , Open Table should not have let the reservation be accepted the restaurant itself should have updated there website
We went there and the restaurant was closed with no prior cancellation
This place wasn’t open!
During the Texas snowstorm I booked a reservation for Monday late afternoon. Walked over a mile to find out they were closed. Very dangerous and inconsiderate.
We had a fantastic waitress, food was excellent just came out very quickly which was surprising. However still love this place.
The food was great, everything came out in a timely manner. Recommend the green chili pork!
There was a piece of scramp metal in my soup and they did comp anything
Great Birthday celebration dinner! Perfect steaks and sides. Cheesecake and Creme Brûlée were fantastic!
Nice for a business lunch or early bird dinner. Standard faire w value happy hour. Good location.
Good food and service were excellent.
Great experience with great food and the wait staff was outstanding. Green Chile Mac and cheese can’t be beat and the pork appetizer with tortillas rivals any Mexican restaurant.
We love this place and eat here regularly. The food is consistently good and we always get the mac and cheese and street corn.
great service and food was fabulous as always.. we had our two young teens and came in last minute and very casual. Staff was super accommodating and even sat us where my son could watch the football game. Thank you! We will return!
The food is excellent, the ambience is warm and friendly, and the staff is very competent and helpful. Appropriate prices for a higher-end downtown restaurant.
We hadn’t visited since before pandemic.
But was very disappointed with the very limited menu and wine selections. We all chose other items but we went with the intentions of getting our previous items. We did enjoy what we ordered, though. Then went upstairs to the bar. They had great drink selections there. We had a great time upstairs. There were just a few people there. We may go back just to get appetizers until the menu expands.
Lauren was our waitress and she was amazing!! We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a unforgettable night at Roaring Fork. The food was delicious! I got the steak with the peppercorn sauce and my friends got the salmon and they said their lemon butter sauce was good too! Definitely recommend for a special night!
It was a little less wonderful then expected. The food was good but could have been better for the price. The Scenery was nice, and it was convenient to be at because we were staying in the hotel.
Could not have been more pleased with the food and service.
Had a great dinner with family sitting near the bar overlooking the fireplace. The food and drinks were great, from the Spinach Chicken Waldorf salad (my favorite salad anywhere), to the Salmon, the Filet, and the Redfish entrees.
Appetizer was great. Drinks were fantastic.
Steak was a little on the dry end. Green chile Mac...to die for.
Highlights were chips and guacamole and the desserts. Salads are generous and greens were fresh. Salmon was good. Special pork loin with rosemary was ok but the rosemary overpowered the loin and the pork belly was not overly warm. The service was good and the atmosphere was good. Worth checking out and we will be back to try again.
35th Anniversary Dinner. Food was great; however, I have had 34 anniversary dinners and this was the first time that the actual restaurant did nothing to recognize our special accomplishment. The host seating us did wish us, "Happy Anniversary" so I know that they knew. Most of the time, the restaurant offers a free dessert or something else; however, "The Roaring Fork" failed in that regard. The food was good, but it's is the entire evening that creates that memory.
So my personal advice is to chose somewhere else for a very special event! I hope this helps others in their decision where to go on that special day!
I would say that Eddie V's Prime Seafood has done the BEST so far!
Newlywed dinner and we thought it was wonderful!
Appetizer are a meal itself. Always great food.
We really enjoyed our experience at the Roaring Fork! We went for a date night and the environment was great, food was delicious and service was fantastic...highly recommend!!
Best happy hour burgers downtown. Can't wait to go back.
Service was very nice, food was yummy, ambiance was on point!
Always the best food in Austin. Shortened menu deletes some of my favorite appetizers, but there is excellence in every bite.
Nice atmosphere, quiet, and good service
The server was fantastic. The food was prepared terribly. Over seasoned and the restaurant was out of choices. I wouldn’t go back!
Our server was snide - she asked how we wanted our steak cooked, when we explained to her how she wanted it she was snide and said, "well I don't cook the steak" she then said she didn't care if our food came out how we wanted it or not. The limited covid menu was disappointing too - really only chips on the menu for appetizers? What a waste of a night.
Food and service was excellent!
Fantastic experience. Everything we ate was great and everybody we interacted with was happy and helpful.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary and we left so happy! This was a great atmosphere and experience for an elegant dinner. The food was amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Been here several times pre-pandemic, but this was the first since the pandemic. The menu has been down-sized drastically, which I understand. Just disappointed. Food quality and service is still top notch.
We were seated in a part of the restaurant that was very cold. They had a floor heater on, but it was obvious that it had been turned on right before we were seated. The food was very salty which included a Caesar Salad (so fishy and salty), Tortilla Soup and Hamburger. Unfortunate for the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant itself. Our waiter, Cliff, was awesome.
Great place to relax and have a wonderful meal. Make sure to try the green chile kettle!!
Food was great and very flavorful, service was a little slow
