PORK CHOP!!!!! That's all I need to say. It's very sharable and out of this world.
For a Bachelorette Party
Outstanding service. Delicious food. Plus, they gave us free dessert since it was our first time there.
Return visit. Food was good per usual, our service however was not great. I was mid conversation with our server when she walked away to help another table. Just so rude and disrespectful. We still enjoyed our food nonetheless.
It was a great time, food and service was amazing! Thank you Shelby for the great service and recommendations.
Spectacular evening! Superior room in which to meet old friends and enjoy a long evening together. Food was outstanding! Steak was excellent and my wife still raves about the redfish. Service was exquisite and as appropriate for such an excellent dining environment. Wine list could be expanded to include more European and South American options.
Absolutely LOVED this place!! The food was INCREDIBLE. We had the Queso con Puerco and the Kettle of Green Chile Pork. WOW!! SO GOOD!
Roaring Fork reliably provides a good dining experience, with good food. The ambiance is that of a busy "steakhouse". My recent experience though was marred by service that I would describe as "fair." I was repeatedly told "We are VERY busy," which was obvious to me. However, that didn't make me any less displeased about waiting more than 20 minutes to receive my cocktail, or the fact that the 90 minutes we had allotted for pre-theater dinner provided BARELY enough time to hurriedly consume our dinners, brought to the table just 10 minutes before we needed to leave.
Excellent food and timely service made for a fun night out prior to a concert next door at the Paramount Theatre. Booking a reservation was easy as well.
The service was incredible and the dinner was fabulous. Steak cooked to perfeciton!
Concert with friends…1st one of the year!!!
We were celebrating a birthday, perfect spot! We enjoyed bacon wrapped pork chops, burgers, meatballs and the most incredible pecan pie ever. Definitely will return to Roaring Fork!!
My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary, it wasn't busy inside, but our service took a long time. From the time we sat, got our water, ordered our cocktails it took 10-15 minutes for the actual drinks (1 glass of wine and a signature cocktail). We ended up leaving because when we arrived at 6:30, based on the speed of service and attentiveness, we were concerned we wouldn't make it to our event at 9:00 pm on time. Menu was small, upscale "texas roadhouse".
We had a great server, great food and great time!
Ambience was great and good food. The server was very cheerful and took great care !
Great food and service we would highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food and service.
Really enjoyed the meatballs and the steaks.
The waitress, Shelby, was outstanding. I had a reservation for a party of seven retired Marines. She was cheerful towards all of their requests and she did it with great pleasure. Matt, the manager, accommodated our party in ways we could not describe. The entire experience was memorable. They’ll forever have my business.
AMAZING! Will be back for sure.
Very convenient place to eat if you’re attending a show at the Paramount theater.
Wonderful restaurant with great food, drinks, and service!
Picked this right off open table and couldn’t be happier. Nice place with insane food. Didn’t know they made a 48 oz pork chop…
19th Anniversary. Started going there almost 20 years ago and went back for the nostalgia. The staples, pork stew and Caesar salad, were pretty darn good as always. Some of the other things we tried not so much. The real problem was how poor the service was. I know everyone is overworked and overwhelmed right now. It was a combination of ignoring us altogether, to being abrupt, to just not seeming to care whatsoever. Overall, food was decent, service was awful, experience was disappointing. Not sure if we’ll go back.
The restaurant was packed with a pre-concert crowd, but the staff hustled with an easy, upbeat attitude to care for patrons. Our meals were delicious and beautifully plated and the martinis were superb. I've always loved Roaring Fork and last night was a perfect example of why I do.
Food is good. Service was slow from the bar and the kitchen.
Everyone was very nice & welcoming! The trout was terrific!
Celebrated my daughter’s 19th birthday and everything was perfect. Our waiter was also outstanding. Food was amazing.
We usually eat at the location in North Austin but decided to eat here since we were going to a comedy show around the corner. Our food was ok but the noise level was unreal! I couldn’t hear my wife trying to talk to me and we were having to lean over the table and basically yell at each other. Our server was amazing! She had a decent amount of tables and handled it very well. Won’t be eating at this location again. We will stick with the North Austin location.
Will not be returning. Over an hour wait after placing our order to get our food.
The food was amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious- the veggies were well cooked without being over cooked. I ordered the spicy strawberry mint julep and was very disappointed. There was no strawberry or spicy to it at all. I think it was made wrong, however when I asked they said “it’s just not a super strawberry drink”. I’ve never personally made a berry simple syrup and had it not turn pink, but hey- they say they did.
The service was subpar. After asking about the drinks it took 15 minutes for her to return to our table, and when she did- she forgot to check on our drinks. Service was a bit slow throughout. I’d go back for the food but the service lost it a star.
We ate in the bar - great happy hour specials.
the meal was a bit expensive (a $114 29 oz bone in, dry aged rib eye - which was delicious)
the sides were quite good too - the mac and cheese was amazing. Asparagus was cooked perfectly
would like to return for a meal in the main dining room
Our server was absolutely amazing! She also was there right as you finished your drink, she was ready to give you more. The food was delicious beyond words! Strongly suggest getting the stuffed chicken! Absolutely 🔥
One of our favorites places to dine in downtown Austin. Service is always excellent as is the food. Great wine list and reasonable prices for a steakhouse.
Fantastic experience! Great service and food....Matt the manager, was so very gracious and accommodating to our group. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Austin.
The Hostess was amazing- she deserves a promotion- the food took way to long, the waitress kept saying it was because they had a large party- but no excuse. Also didn't care for such a limited menu, not too many choices for the $$$
Absolutely great! Enjoyed the entire experience and would recommend To anyone.
Wonderful!! Our wait staff, Jamison Coffee, was great. And we will be back
Jamison was the best any of had ever had. So passionate and knowledgeable. Great food, great service, amazing drinks.
the food was very good but the service was terrible.
