Excellent drinks and setting! I would recommend others to go!
We had a great Birthday dinner at RN74. The waitstaff were great and knowledgeable about the wine. Our party of 7 were well attended to. The food was great! Foie gras was perhaps my favorite. But don’t miss the duck fat fries. Beignets for dessert is a must! Enough to share. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Consistently excellent food and a thoughtful interesting wine list
The testing menu is really good. We had a great experience dining at RN74
We came in for dinner prior to a show and let our server know our timing. We had cocktails, steak tartar app, the filet and duck entrees. All were excellent and we left right on time. Our 3rd visit and we'll be back.
Had the tasting menu with the paired wines, and it was just amazingly good!
Sommelier was great. Waiter was good.
The food is great but my only complaint is that the meals are so expensive for very small meal! We were 5 people paid 220$ no drinks at all and we went home hungry
Food was great! We really enjoyed our salads and entrees. I had the mushroom pasta. It was delicious!!
The duck was delicious. Server was friendly and overall great mature experience.
Excellent restaurant with an incredible wine list.
J Vic z Fhfh tkke glad sjgn Jb czgd. K nkobh fddkjjdhc RN74!!
Love this place! My boyfriend and I went here on a date night and had a blast. We were about to be put in a tiny table for two and asked if we could sit anywhere else. They quickly found us a great high top table no questions asked. Oh and their drinks are amazing!
This is our go-to place for special occasions. Everything was up to snuff except the bouillabaisse was not quite hot and the seafood was slightly overdone.
Food was excellent, service was good, friendly, but a bit slow - like maybe they were understaffed. On the other hand, we did not feel rushed at all. If we'd wanted to get going to a show or something it might have been an issue.
The steaks were subpar. Flavorless and inferior quality of meat for the price. The other dishes seem to be good but stay away from the steak.
Great place to have cocktails and some great food .
Anaconh good abs wines were spectacular
This was for a business meeting with clients. We had a total of 8 people and I requested a table in a quiet area of the restaurant. They did provide a great table in a back corner. The food was wonderful and it was a wonderful dinner.
Amazing meal! The pork shank was amazing!!
The RN74 experience (wine pairing with set course menu) was outstanding. The sommelier is fantastic. Service was great.
Good food. Great service. Texted us when we forgot credit card.
This restaurant sucks. We literally paid for our dinner, before receiving it to leave. I'm not going to list the litany of issues. But we couldn't wait to leave from the second we were sat. Ambience was the main issue, to start. But over the next 15 minutes a bunch of other issues presented themselves. What should have been a nice, intimate dinner devolved into an awful experience. We paid and left, before even receiving the first course. What a joke. Never done that, before. Terrible waste of money, for us. Oh well .....
Had not been in a long time and we went for New Years Eve. The menu was spectacular and the service was on point. Happily return.
We were very disappointed with RN74. We looked forward to eating at this restaurant having been to RN74 in San Francisco years ago and found it to be exceptional. However the Seattle restaurant served food that was missing ingredients, cold and bland at best. The mussels could have been palatable if seasoned and made with mussels which did not have cracked or un-open shells. The black cod might have been better with more flavor added if the tarragon gremolata had not been forgotten, and the osso bucco might have been more acceptable if it had not been cold on one side and poorly seasoned.
The burgundy wine was excellent and the service was ok. Needless to say at any cost this would have been a disappointment. We would not recommend this restaurant at all. There are too many excellent restaurants in Seattle to risk this expensive and less than acceptable one.
Was rushed service even though I made a reservation.
The food was great but overpriced but the service was utterly terrible. I ordered a cocktail before dinner. They took the order without asking my wife if she wanted a drink. I ordered a glass of white wine to go with the scallop crudo. It didn’t come. Our waitress was MIA. We tried to follow up with other service members who passed by to no avail (they said they would follow up, but no wine materialized). My wife’s soup was luke warm and had to be reheated (that took about 15 minutes). Our waitress came by during the entree (duck for two). I asked about the white wine and she said the bar had been backed up (it wasn’t, the bar was pretty dead and restaurant was not super busy - also menu was was limited for the holidays). I requested switching to red to go with my duck. That came about halfway through the course. We were not offered any bread. We had to ask a random waiter for it. When we finished it, no more was offered. While the food was tasty, the exorbitant prices removed any value ($85 each for 3 course plus $30 surcharge for the duck leading to a $250+ meal before tip for 2 from a prix fix menu with one cocktail, one glass of wine and one mocktail). I believe the drinks were more on the bill than on the menu, but at that point we just wanted to go, and it was a few bucks. Overall, it was a really disappointing dining experience.
A group of us come here for Christmas Eve dinner now & then as a splurgy treat on a special evening. The food is lovely & the service is gracious. I do prefer to sit in the cushy booths on the back wall as opposed to the table & chairs setup on the main floor, but that is the luck of the draw.
Christmas Eve
Always an amazing evening. The chef did a great job of modifying the truffle menu for a pescetarian at the table too! We always dine here when in Seattle!
I was here on Wednesday, December 4th with my daughter and two granddaughters as part of our annual trip to Seattle. Every December, the four of us meet in Seattle for a show at the 5th Avenue Theatre, holiday shopping, nice dinners, and quality time together. We decided to try RN74, based on positive reviews. We couldn’t have been more disappointed. We had a 5 o’clock reservation. We arrived 20 minutes early, before the dining room was open. We were seated in the kid-friendly area of the lounge. The hostess took our drink order and said, “We’ll get you seated in the dining room right at 5, or maybe a few minutes early.” Shortly before 5, she came back and said that someone would come to get us right away, and she would transfer our drink tab to our table. No one came to get us. About 15 minutes later, we finally asked at the front desk. The person there seemed relieved that we asked, as if they had no idea we were there. We understood they were busy, and thought once we were seated things would improve. Instead, the service went steadily downhill. There was a large party at the back of the restaurant, and it seems they weren’t prepared to deal with anyone else. We were in the restaurant for 90 minutes before we got our food. My granddaughters were not asked about drinks, so we had to order them after we ordered our food (when we were able to get our server’s attention), and then their drinks were forgotten. We had to leave by 7 to get to our show—that’s why we’d made an early reservation, so we wouldn’t be rushed. Instead, we were ignored, our food was delayed, (and tasted stale, like it had been sitting under lights for a while), the whole restaurant smelled like old oil in a deep fat fryer, AND we ended up having to hurry through our meals. We understand that they were busy, but they clearly need to be better prepared to handle large groups. We’d planned ahead, far in advance, and were treated as though our experience did not matter in the least. Never again!
Steak and sauce were cool. I sent the sauce back to warm, but it returned still tepid. The duck fries were excellent. The waiter comped the steak, which I appreciated, but I would’ve preferred a properly cooked dinner. The noise from the bar (a large and boisterous group celebrating a birthday) was overwhelmingly intrusive.
I would come back just for the truffle baguette!!!
AAAAA+ first time to dine here and everything was perfect. I have zero complaints and highly recommend it to anyone who wants something a little different.
Be very assertive with getting attention of server. They will focus on other tables and forget to bring simple things to you, like your drink order, water, napkin, or bread.
Food and staff were wonderful.
All the staff were courteous and and hustled but there were not enough to serve at the level I expect for the price point. The food was good but the portions were quite small. I typically don’t eat large portions but they were small even for me.
We had the tasting menu accompanied by the recommended wines.
It was a pure hit! Excellent food, good service, enough but not too much information about the food and wines.
Staff was very educated in there craft
The portions on fish were small, but the duck fat fries were good
