Good food. Very rich & tasty, but so much so that I could only eat so much of it. Good wine list. Expensive.

Great place to eat, especially before a show at 5th Avenue theater. Great service, especially as we were running late for the show there.

The front of house staff was rude when we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation, then we had to wait more than 25 minutes beyond our 8:30 reservation for a table. They brought us complimentary appetizers, but it was a little too little too late. Food overall was very good, extensive wine list, ambiance is great... just missed the mark on service

If you’ve got hours to kill, this is your spot. Went in around 8pm on a Friday night with an 8:15 reservation and since 6+ tables were visibly empty assumed I could get seated early. Was told they were “getting the table set” and it would be a couple minutes early. After a drink at the bar we were brought over to our table at 8:40, which was the same table that was set and ready since 8pm.
From there it got even slower, with horrible service and inattentive and unfriendly staff. Our 2 course dinner (we skipped dessert) lasted until 10:45....pretty pathetic.
The food was nominally above par and over priced. Wish I went to a chain like Capital Grille were I know I would have been taken care off.

Solid "A". Food was very good and service was thorough. Definitely recommend. A little louder than I personally expected but it was still comfortable.

Perhaps most important, they were extremely gracious. We were significantly late for our reservation... 30mins late on a Saturday evening (in December!)... and they seated us without a problem.

Food is undersized for the amount you pay. Wine is way overpriced. They push the wine and champagne on you. We were seated at a bar top table for a date night. Was not cozy or romantic seating atmosphere. We had a reservation so thought we would be seated in a nicer booth. We could see unoccupied booths available all around us. We asked to be reseated but by the time they figured out where they could put us it was too late. Would not go back. No value not amazed for the price they are charging. After $120 I am still hungry and barely feeling the drinks.

We enjoyed dinner at RN 74 on a Saturday after going to the ballet. The food is out of this world! My husband had the duck and he requested an extra piece of bread to soak up all of the sauce & wipe his plate clean! I had the chicken with mushrooms served over rigatoni which was described very simply on the menu but once again tasted so amazing I’m sure they seasoned it with a little magic! We will definitely be back there again very soon! And do yourself a favor, “make reservations” the restaurant is much smaller than I thought it would be, and it was full.

Try it! You will be glad you did !

The fries were good, a little salty but the kids liked them. I ordered the pasta which was very salty. The steaks were ok with nothing special for the prices and the lobster was definitely overpriced which was highly recommended by the server. It was more American than French. The steak plate was with fries and ketchup. Will not go back since there was nothing special about the food.

There was a clear improvement in the standard of fare from the kitchen to match the consistently excellent cocktails.
The service was excellent with one huge exception, the waiter asked if we had a finish time which we did. He noted and said confidently he'd get us out on time. That didn't happen due to a dragging level of attention toward the end of the meal.

Overpriced and over rated!! The food was below average. Ordered three steaks, supposed to be “ amazing “ according to the waitress and they were cold! We could get much better steaks at high end steak houses on town and for the same price...

This was an early dinner before the show! French and lovely - had a great glass of dry Muscadet and then we shared a salad, an appetizer of house-made gnocchi and the mad hatter chicken with a glass of bordeaux blend. Great service - great food - great find!

The food was great and full of flavor. The only thing I would say is that it felt understaffed. The kitchen felt like it took a long time to make our meal. Our server was really nice but could have checked in sooner between drinks and taking our order.

Went with a girlfriend to RN74 for the first time. Tried the cassoulet for Restaurant Week along with wine pairings. The wine was perfectly chosen for all three courses -- kudos to the sommelier whose own label syrah was the perfect choice for the hearty cassoulet. Our server and the bartender were also fantastic, providing exemplary service, but the noise level was so great we had to ask to be moved to a table that didn't require us to shout. Unfortunately the cassoulet, a signature French dish, while flavorful, featured tough duck and mushy beans -- it was more like a bean soup allowed to sit for far too long. The beef tartare was fine, as were the beignets, but nothing stood out and would compel me to come back.

Fun atmosphere with a cool wine bar. Service was lovely. The food was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. My friend's ravioli came with only 4; my duck confit had tiny 3 pieces; and the creme brulee was bare bones.

We arrived early for Happy Hour, but upon settling our tab, were told that the drinks we ordered did not qualify for Happy Hour...We had even confirmed it was Happpy Hour when we sat down at the bar but apparently we ordered the wrong brand of whiskey in our whiskey sours. Service for dinner was dismal. No one came after pouring water until we asked a passing hostess for some attention. The main course was awful. Duck terrine consisted of a layer of cooked beans with a few unrecognizable, crunchy little chunks of something...looked like chicken skin...scattered on top. My husbands lamb dish was similarly awful. Really a significant disappointment in every respect except the waitress’s assistant who was a lovely, fun, Hispanic man who made us feel welcome.

Marvelous traditional French food, impeccably prepared, paired with wine and served. I went during Restaurant Week before going to Ragtime. The tartare was excellent, the cassoulet and blanquette de veau were exactly as they should be (the cassoulet with duck confit should be the picture next to the dictionary entry for 'unctuous'), and the beignets were delicate and pillowy.

I look forward to going again now that I know the food is worth the price of admission!

The menu over-promises and under-delivers. The steak tartar was made on an assembly line many hours previous and looked and tasted like it. The veal blanquette was only passable. The beignets were baked, not fried, and ordinary.
If this were a person's first experience with this cuisine they would wonder what the fuss was all about.
In addition, the wine and meal service were not coordinated. As a result, I did not have wine with my main course.
All in all, the food was a disappointing. I would not return to eat. However, the wines were very good, if pricey.

We chose to have dinner here before our 8pm show at Benaroya Hall. The waiter knew this and told him we wanted to be out 15-30min before 8pm to make it on time. Long story short, we didn’t get out until after 7:45p and had to rush over, barely making it on time, and that was only because we got up to leave before our dessert even came. At 7:30p, the waiter had offered to either bring out dessert or box it up. We asked to have it brought out along with our check, since we did not expect to wait more than 15min for it. At 7:45p we gave up and got our coats from the coat check and asked a manager to please have our dessert to go (waiter was nowhere to be found during this time). We got our dessert in about 2 minutes. The waiter saw us ready to leave, and there was absolutely no acknowledgement or apology for the wait. Dinner started out fine but was very disappointed at the end due to the inattention of the waiter. Would not recommend coming here for a pre-concert dinner.

We chose RN 74 for a date night dinner after visiting the Seattle Art Museum. It was one of the first stormy nights in Seattle for the fall, so tucking into a cozy booth and enjoying a couple of pre dinner drinks, then settling in for an amazing Prix fixe was the perfect thing.

We liked everything so much that we’ve made this restaurant our monthly date spot — we made our next reservation before walking out the door.
