This place is awesome. One of our favorites in Seattle and a staple for when we want a nicer meal.
Drinks were very good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was good. I did not enjoy my meal very much. My girlfriend's dish and our appetizer were good though. I would consider giving it another try and order a different dish.
We enjoyed a leisurely dinner. Everything was well prepared and delicious. Service was friendly and professional.
Little frustrates me more than when a restaurant takes reservations and doesn't work to honor them. We made a reservation for 6:30 prior to an 8:00 show as RN74 is near 5th Ave. Theater. Timing would have worked quite well but it took them nearly half an hour to seat us for our reservation. When we were sat we asked to order immediately and noted the time constraint. "No problem" we were told. However, we received our food five minutes prior to having to leave. What we were able to eat was quite good, but I hated paying for food I wasn't given the opportunity to enjoy. If you take reservations, please treat them seriously. In the end, I simply can't recommend this restaurant.
I don't normally take the time to leave reviews, but I love this restaurant.. It is a favorite. With all of the great restaurants in Seattle, this is one restaurant I continue to return. Consistent. Definitely great for out of town guests too. I don't normally order steak (I think there are more interesting food choices), but I now order the steak/frites. The Hangar and the Strip are the 2 best steaks I think I have ever had (the au poivre sauce is great too!). The French75 was too tart for me, but then ordered a Paper Plane and it was perfect. The Sommelier helped with a great bottle of Pinot Noir (usually too light for my preference, but it was full and delicious!) He took the time to explain the region of France it came from and how I should request Pinots in the future for my palate preference. The first bottle was "corked". He had already determined this so we would have never have known, but took the time to have us smell the cork and then taste the corked wine so we could taste the subtle difference in the future (it smelled and tasty a bit musty). Beignets! Yum! Tuna tartare tartare! Yum. I usually like the seared Foie Gras as well, but did not have this past night. RN 74 is definitely a favorite.... have been going there for years.
Very loud! Almost impossible to carry on a conversation.
food was pedestrian with over priced menu. nice ambiance with ok staff. we ordered flank steak and seafood. my husband had his steak ordered medium and it came out rare and cold. They put it back on the fire and came back with medium well and without the herb butter and the french fries really oily. The mac and cheese was too salty for our side dish. Did not bother to complaint.
Foie gras was perfection!
Great food, extensive wine list. Excellent service. Always worth visiting when in Seattle.
I have eaten here before, but this time found the service to be very slow, and the food nothing special at all. We arrived at 6 for a 6:15 reservation because we were going to see a play. It took us almost 2 hours to complete the meal. We were there on a price fixe meal offer, so nothing special as far as meal prep. The copy on the ad said we'd be served a 3 course meal, but what was actually listed on the vouchers was evidently different than the ad copy-what we received was 2 courses and we were charged another $22.00 for dessert. Between that, and wine, coffee, tip etc. the $80.00 meal turned into $200.00. For $200.00, I can assure you there are 10 other places we could have eaten at within a 6 block radius that would have blown this place away. So, we will not be back- even for Happy Hour. There are much better options.
We loved the food, cocktails and service. Which us saying a lot for my picky friends. We will be back.
Excellent service, food and wine pairings were delicious. Staff was nice enough to have a handwritten card for my wife who’s birthday we were celebrating. We had a fantastic time.
Open Table took a reservation for a time and date that the restaurant was not open, and then asks for a review of the experience. The restaurant has a good reputation. Open Table seems to have some technical issues.
Had the tasting menu and it was very good. Pacing of courses was extremely slow and the service was terrible. Server was rude and made the experience awful.
