At RiIVUE, we offer panoramic views of the city. We have a contemporary, upscale facility that is perfect for Wedding Receptions, birthdays, and more!
View Private Dining DetailsWent here for our 3 year wedding anniversary and the staff and food was great. I am a chicken tender and fried guy, but I tried the Duck meal and it was awesome. The flan they brought us for dessert was good as well. I would recommend this place for any event or special occasion. Dinner and a great view in a rotating dining room.
We went for drinks, appetizers and the sunset. Well it was very cloudy, but the service was so bright! They were very accommodating to our group of 10 and sat us in the rotating diner area and not the bar as we expected. Perfect reviews from and for everyone that night.
Had a great brunch; loved the view; service was awesome. Definitely recommend.
Great food. Awesome view. And a very good piano player. This is a Louisville must do.
It was so cold that I had to put on my husband's suit jacket. Prices are really unreasonably high. They no longer do the candy cart...BOO! The waitress (Courtney) was outstanding. The piano player was very good, albeit a tad bit loud...the music was intrusive rather than background.
The restaurant was great with a amazing view of the Ohio River.
Going to broadway series play
It was a very good experience but I had a request for piece of birthday cake as we were there for my wife's birthday.
The food was fairly plain for the price. Not impressed at all. Could have taken 6 more people to Cracker Barrel for brunch for the same price and got similar food. Our check had one price on it. But when the waiter brought it back after running the card, it was $20 higher. He said it was because he forgot to ring in our drinks. Not our fault. Once you bring the check, that is what we should pay. Can't add after that. He should have checked it before bringing it. Overall, I have no intentions on coming back. Paying more for the view. And I can get it for free at work.
Halibut was perfect! Service was excellent. Sunset over the Ohio was a bonus.
We went to RIVUE for the first time and loved it. We noticed many regulars as well as hotel guests and the regulars encouraged us to come back often. I think they would benefit from posting a dress code since 80% of people were in semi-formal attire and the remaining 20% were in very casual attire. It is an elegant space with fantastic views of the river and a panorama of the waterfront from the knobs of Indiana to the east end bridge. We had oysters on the half shell as an appetizer, a scallop small plate for myself and the filet for my partner. The wine was excellently paired by our waiter and the old fashioned was one of the best we have had.
Overall, my experience is pretty good.
My wife and I have enjoyed several meals here. The food and service are exceptional. We have enjoyed the Sunday Brunch and several romantic dinners. The view from the rotating dining areas is fantastic.
Had celebration dinner with family. The dining room is richly appointed, luxury dining at its finest. A beautiful enjoyable experience as you sit atop some of the BEST views in Louisville all as the room revolved ever so slowly. Fun. My scallops were heavenly and the Black Angus steak was done to perfection. Attentive and courteous service. We all had a fantastice time. Perfect place to have a cocktail or dinner if you want to impress.
We went on Easter Sunday with a pre-fixed menu. It was good but not great. Our server was on top of everything but, honestly, a bit of a basket case. I ordered the frittata (brunch menu) as my main and it felt like it had been prepared well in advance and reheated. Not what you're looking for for this price point. All of that said, it's a BEAUTIFUL view of the city and the river.
Great views of the River in this rotating restaurant. The food was excellent and fit for foodies. They also had high end wine like The Prisoner by the glass which I loved. Everything we had was great!
Great food, cocktails and view!
Awesome place to take in-town and out-of-town guests.
We had an exceptional dinner with creative dishes of sea scallops, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms--all very tasty. Normally not dessert-eaters, we shared selections from the dessert side and the dessert cocktail side of the menu, with a birthday surprise that made the evening very special. Worth a trip to Louisville for this experiences.
Excellent visit! However, I requested a window seat but didn’t get one. Window tables were available the entire time. But we still had an outstanding view.
Great meal, our server Peter was very attentive, the view is amazing. Not our first visit and we'll visit again when back in town.
Beautiful view, delicious food, but terrible service, server didn’t show up but 2 or 3 times aout of the 1 hour and 30 min I was there
We had the best waitress beautiful personality and very attentive
It never disappoints.
Enjoyed our night out at Rivue!!! It was a beautiful dinning experience and was very unique. Food was good, we had the Poullette Rouge and Bacon wrapped Pork Tenderloin, both cook perfectly. Crab Cake appetizer was excellent and the desserts were great! Our waitress was very professional and knowledgeable. We will return!
Went for our 25th anniversary and it was perfect. Definitely will return!!!
Wonderful experience with the exception of the piano player was way to loud. Food was great. Our server Eric did a fantastic job and the view was outstanding.
Dinner was great, service was great, the ambiance was great and the piano player made a very special night even better. Hats off to all!
This restaurant has the best view in Louisville, overlooking the city from the twenty-first floor. Top notch quality food and service.
Enjoy the opportunity to dine at RIVUE and look forward to their planed remodeling. Newish Bistro style menu with great variety. Always a great view of the city while on the revolving deck.
Great location and service; food was a little pricey for the quality. My husband’s steak was wonderful, but a bit overdone for his tastes. I ordered the chicken which I enjoyed, but I wasn’t ‘wowed’ by it if that makes sense. The location and atmosphere were by far our favorite things about the restaurant, and we enjoyed dining there for our one year anniversary. It’s definitely a restaurant everyone has to try at least once!
Food was bland and the choices were slim. Even the cocktails were overly strong without good flavor. Not a great place overall.
Impeccable service, live piano, wonderful views of sunset, and the food could not be more delicious. Everything from appetizers to dessert is expertly prepared and presented.
Our server Katie was amazing. She was so knowledgeable of the menu. Very attentive to us. One of the best servers I have ever experienced. Food was delicious. Generous portions. Manager came by to check on us. . . . offered to take our pictures. Awesome place. Can't wait for our next visit.
We have been to Rivue almost every year for our Anniversary, and many times for Birthday brunch. The food has always been excellent, and the ambiance even better. Wednesday was our 20th Anniversary, and we expected the same. We were very sadly mistaken! When we got to the restaurant we were seated on the revolving side as I had requested. It was the only area open. There were several large parties, and it was VERY loud. It was also VERY cold in that area of the restaurant. Our waiter took drink orders in a timely manner, but we were not served drinks or bread until much later. When she came back to us to take our dinner orders we asked to move. We were told the section we were in was the only one open. After ordering I received a decent salad with several brown leaves. I scraped through the brown because I was hungry from not eating since breakfast. Our dinner order was taken, and we waited quite a while. When it finally came out it looked like something you would get at a Denny’s. I ordered a chicken dish. It was extremely greasy, and fatty. My husband ordered a filet. It was practically mooing on his plate. The restaurant was loud, cold, and our food was awful. We called the waiter over, and told her we were leaving. My husband told her we would pay for his drink, and my salad but nothing else. She went to speak to the manager, and returned with our bill about 10 minutes later. The manager would not even come out to speak with us which in a fine dining restaurant is unheard of. The waiter told us that they have a new chef, and that was the cause of the “bad food”. My suggestion is to fire that chef. This totally ruined our Anniversary as it was too late to have dinner, or get a reservation anywhere else. I have always loved Rivue, but after this experience we will not ever be returning.
We have dined at the Sunday brunch at least 5 times before this past week. We will NOT return.there was no bread product except chocolate croissants. I asked if they had anything else and was told they were all out. ( we were the first people to arrive ). But they did have some “frozen bread”. The selection was very poor. The chicken and dumplings had no chicken and was cold. Tenderloin was burned on the outside and raw inside.
I must say the omelet was excellent. It was the only reason I didn’t go away totally hungry.
I overheard a gentleman say “ this sure is t the way I make dumplings”
The desserts were not cooked. Very soggy
Th ambiance was great, however the food was lacking. Portions are small and lack flavor.
Yyuyyyyuuuuuuuuuu
Food was great, the view was awesome but getting to the restaurant was a pain in the butt. We went in through the hotel, and the front clerk directed us towards the elevators and said it’s on the top floor, floor 25. When we went to the elevator, it wouldn’t let us push floor 25. The light came on for that floor and then disappeared. So we thought, let’s go to floor 24 and just take the stairs up a flight. Wrong! Floor 24 was being remodeled or something and looked like something out of American horror story hotel Cortez. Everything was under construction and a mess but no one on the level to help direct us. It was really creepy. We tried to go back down elevator but it wouldn’t come back to get us on that floor. We tried to find the emergency stairs to take up a flight and it came to a weird opening in the middle of the dining area. It seemed really strange. Good thing no one was in there other eating otherwise we might have scared them when we broke in the dungeon doors. Other than that, food was great, and Peter our waiter was top notch! He had good recommendations and was very informative on the food.
We love the Rivue. The atmosphere, the food, the views! All of it. This visit they seemed a little short handed but our Server did a nice job managing our plates at Brunch after a couple of her tables cleared out. Food was great as usual and we were able to relax and enjoy our meal.
This was our 3rd dinner at the RIVUE. Disappointed they no longer offer the wedge salad even though server said it was wildly popular. The complimentary candy cart was absent as well. We would not likely return.
