RIVUE Restaurant and Lounge
Lounge opens at 5:00pm, Monday - Saturday.
Very nice restaurant
The view is to die for food was very good the waitress was over the top and made sure we was satisfied
Our server page was absolutely excellent. Our drinks were never empty and we never wanted for anything. She was always 45 seconds ahead of us. She called us by name every time she came to the table. We asked to meet the chef because we were so pleased with the food. This is a true dining experience I will recommend it to all of our Associates and Friends.
The view is absolutely breathtaking . Stephen and Nancy White
Nice ambiance is like none other
We have returned every year for our Anniversary for 7 years and have never been disappointed. Wish the menu hadn't changed and limited this year. Always a pleasure
It's become an annual tradition for our family to have Sunday brunch at Rivue to celebrate our kids' hard work over the past school year. This time, we were somewhat disappointed with the food. The main entrees were fried chicken and shrimp and grits, which didn't taste very good. In the past, there have been nicer main entrees. Also, the age at which kids are charged full price is pretty young. The view, of course, is great, and the service was pretty good. However, unless the food improves next time, we'll have to find another restaurant.
We took our 81 year old Mom out to brunch, the food was awful and I got sick afterwards, so NO, I would NOT recommend this place for BRUNCH
Amazing!! A definite favorite.
My wife and I have noticed that over the years this venue has been slowly hacked apart. Years back you had a great if not way above average experience. Then..menu gets clipped and cropped..years later...(a local favorite and treat) the candy cart is gone...and now the only thing left is furniture moved around, but never updated, the piano player (that will go next I am sure unless they just play for tips), and the view. Now I don’t diminish the view as it is unique as is the two rotating platforms. But when you couple the totality of everything else that has digressed then it’s not anything special. Unfortunately another landmark - go to - unique place - scratched of the list. Sadly!
It was nice and quite, waitress MJ provided professional service and was very nice as personality. We had great time
My second time at Rivue, this time for brunch. Our service was exceptional, the food was plentiful and tasty, and the view is lovely. I recommend this Sunday brunch to anyone looking for a meal with plenty of options with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere.
The price was not that bad either considering the service and selection.
The air conditioner was NOT working - the guests (including my husband and I) were sweating and folks were complaining. The waiters were sweating and unsanitarily wiping sweat from their foreheads as they served us. This was Father’s Day, and I was embarrassed and a bit humiliated by the experience. The food was not as good either - it was over cooked or not rotated often enough, and the guy making the omelets was very slow b/c he had to make scrambled egg orders, too. It’s odd that scrambled eggs would not be served with other foods. And lastly, the soft drinks were flat. We tried sprite first, then coke. Both were flat. We then asked for orange juice, which was fine. The problem, though, is that we didn’t get a refill and was therefore forced to drink the hot water (ice melted immediately in glass b/c it was so hot in there). I’ve been there before and things were different. Sunday, however, was a bust!
The air conditioner was not working. It was very hot and stuffy. The high chairs do not have any restraints. My granddaughter was able to slide through and get hurt
We ate here 18 months ago and the food was fabulous. This time it was just good. Maybe they have a new chef. The view is still spectacular.
The cold pea soup was great. The pork Tomahawk was really good. The vegetable sides were high-quality. The service was great. The Duck did not appear to have duck anatomy. It was formed but somehow had skin on it. It tasted good, but I would have preferred to have known in advance that it was not a breast or a leg or thigh Etc. Or maybe I don't know my duck anatomy so well!
I really did like the effort they put into presentation. We will definitely be going back.
Food was prepared perfectly, service was impeccable... views were breathtaking
Wonderful experience! Food was delicious, service was great, & ambience was incredible! Loved it. Would definitely go back & highly recommend.
Great view, good food, friendly server.
We were in Louisville for a business meeting and took a group to dinner.
It was perfect.
Great overall, would return again. The good selection was great, and a wide variety.
We were in town for a long weekend with our teenage sons so all you can eat places are perfect for them. I am not a fan of buffets normally but this is not a traditional buffet for sure. It's gourmet and delicious. The variety is what makes it a winner. I had shrimp cocktail, cheese grits and arugula salad. The boys had biscuits and gravy, sausage, omelettes and fresh fruit.
We all left happy.
My family had a great time. We were celebrating my Daughter's 8th grade graduation. My parents had taken me after I graduated in 1983. So, it's been a while.
Please have chef taste the food. The food on the buffet did not seem fresh. Rather disappointing after all the great things we had heard and previous dinner experiences. Maybe lunch is not this chef's exepertise
The chicken tasted flavorless. The mashed potatoes were great. The brocculi was ok. My cocktail was good. It was overpriced for the portions provided. I won’t be back for dinner but I’ll consider the brunch.
Need more food selection. I over paid for food (that wasn't worth the money). Lobster dinner. One small piece of Lobster, 4 small potatoes and 3 shrimp. I could have went to red lobster and paid the same amount for 6 shrimps on a stick, lobster tail, salmon, a vegetable and salad, plus an order of shrimp scampi. I know, because I order it every time.
Excellent Atmosphere .. Piano music superb... Our server was amazing... attentive and helpful. Thai Lobster was above average. Halibut, Pork and Roast Chicken Entrees outstanding. Desserts ... cheesecake, chocolate cake, and pineapple/raspberry sorbet -- OUTSTANDING...
Our experience at Rivue was wonderful!! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I can't think of a better place we could have gone. The ambiance, service, and view were all spectacular!
Everything was perfect. Nice proposal though my now fiancé. A little pricey for the amount of food, but still very good.
Everything was very nice. Food was good, service was great. Views were exceptional. Live piano music was a nice touch too.
The piano player was excellent and added to the view and atmosphere!
Prompt service, great view, great food, including dessert. Great atmosphere.
Waiter recommended scallops for appetizers and told us to get the $26.00 portion since there were 4 of us. Appetizer came in this large rectangular white plate with 4 small pieces of scallops and 3 pieces of broccoli florets !!!! 1 bite size seared small scallops for each person, really?!!! Even worst on dish portion was the $39.00 Thai Lobster since waiter described 2 lbs lobster tail with 4 jumbo pieces shrimp with small potatoes in chili broth. When the food came in this big white plate, it was just HALF of a LOBSTER in a SHELL with 3 regular shrimps, 4 baby potatoes swimming in broth!!!! Maybe the whole dish weighed 2 lbs including the broth. Expected lobster tail without the shell! $39.00 for half of a lobster in its shell??? What a rip off!!!! Sorry, if you’re hungry, don’t go to The Rivue. Never going back there again. What a joke! A rip off!!!! We left this place STILL HUNGRY!!!!!
My rate of overall satisfaction is Fair due to thd poor service we received. Our wait for a waitress was unacceptably long. To make matters worst she assumed my change was her tip.
We left underwhelmed.
In fairness I must say the atmosphere is beautiful and Views are spectacular. The food was delicious.
We’ve eaten at RIVUE any number of times, and we’re delight. AVOID DERBY WEEK!!!
Pleasant dining experience. Beautiful view. Service was above par, but nothing spectacular. Brunch buffet was clean and kept food hot.
Drove from Indianapolis, IN for Sunday brunch. Have visited many times before but wanted to share my experience with other others. As always the staff, food, and views were fantastic. Pete our server was so helpful and friendly. My party will definitely return again! Thank you all for the experience!
Such an amazing view of the city! The room spun around so you could have an entire view!
I had a great meal and an amazing dining experience. It was very romantic and quiet. I went for a birthday date and the tai lobster was a very tasty meal!
It was a great experience! I will be back!
My husband and I were celebrating 20 years of marriage and we couldn't have found a better place. It was classy, romantic and had gorgeous views. The food was very tasty and the piano playing was at the right volume setting a perfect date night mood. We loved every minute of it. The staff was very nice and served extremely well, very attentive. Thank you for making this a beautiful night we will always remember.
Super busy out of a lot of menu options and stopped doing candy bar was disappointed this time around big time.
