Everything was perfect. Nice proposal though my now fiancé. A little pricey for the amount of food, but still very good.
Everything was very nice. Food was good, service was great. Views were exceptional. Live piano music was a nice touch too.
The piano player was excellent and added to the view and atmosphere!
Prompt service, great view, great food, including dessert. Great atmosphere.
Waiter recommended scallops for appetizers and told us to get the $26.00 portion since there were 4 of us. Appetizer came in this large rectangular white plate with 4 small pieces of scallops and 3 pieces of broccoli florets !!!! 1 bite size seared small scallops for each person, really?!!! Even worst on dish portion was the $39.00 Thai Lobster since waiter described 2 lbs lobster tail with 4 jumbo pieces shrimp with small potatoes in chili broth. When the food came in this big white plate, it was just HALF of a LOBSTER in a SHELL with 3 regular shrimps, 4 baby potatoes swimming in broth!!!! Maybe the whole dish weighed 2 lbs including the broth. Expected lobster tail without the shell! $39.00 for half of a lobster in its shell??? What a rip off!!!! Sorry, if you’re hungry, don’t go to The Rivue. Never going back there again. What a joke! A rip off!!!! We left this place STILL HUNGRY!!!!!
My rate of overall satisfaction is Fair due to thd poor service we received. Our wait for a waitress was unacceptably long. To make matters worst she assumed my change was her tip.
We left underwhelmed.
In fairness I must say the atmosphere is beautiful and Views are spectacular. The food was delicious.
We’ve eaten at RIVUE any number of times, and we’re delight. AVOID DERBY WEEK!!!
Pleasant dining experience. Beautiful view. Service was above par, but nothing spectacular. Brunch buffet was clean and kept food hot.
Drove from Indianapolis, IN for Sunday brunch. Have visited many times before but wanted to share my experience with other others. As always the staff, food, and views were fantastic. Pete our server was so helpful and friendly. My party will definitely return again! Thank you all for the experience!
Such an amazing view of the city! The room spun around so you could have an entire view!
I had a great meal and an amazing dining experience. It was very romantic and quiet. I went for a birthday date and the tai lobster was a very tasty meal!
It was a great experience! I will be back!
My husband and I were celebrating 20 years of marriage and we couldn't have found a better place. It was classy, romantic and had gorgeous views. The food was very tasty and the piano playing was at the right volume setting a perfect date night mood. We loved every minute of it. The staff was very nice and served extremely well, very attentive. Thank you for making this a beautiful night we will always remember.
Super busy out of a lot of menu options and stopped doing candy bar was disappointed this time around big time.
Service was slow. Piano was great.
It is a potentially fabulous destination but has become tired over the years. Apparently a significant upgrade and redesign planned for the new year. It will hopefully recapture some of its prior grandeur.
Our server Katie and the trainee MJ were GREAT. Both were funny and VERY friendly. They made our anniversary a lot of fun and of course the food was GREAT. We WILL be back again.
Went here for our 3 year wedding anniversary and the staff and food was great. I am a chicken tender and fried guy, but I tried the Duck meal and it was awesome. The flan they brought us for dessert was good as well. I would recommend this place for any event or special occasion. Dinner and a great view in a rotating dining room.
We went for drinks, appetizers and the sunset. Well it was very cloudy, but the service was so bright! They were very accommodating to our group of 10 and sat us in the rotating diner area and not the bar as we expected. Perfect reviews from and for everyone that night.
Had a great brunch; loved the view; service was awesome. Definitely recommend.
Great food. Awesome view. And a very good piano player. This is a Louisville must do.
It was so cold that I had to put on my husband's suit jacket. Prices are really unreasonably high. They no longer do the candy cart...BOO! The waitress (Courtney) was outstanding. The piano player was very good, albeit a tad bit loud...the music was intrusive rather than background.
The restaurant was great with a amazing view of the Ohio River.
Going to broadway series play
It was a very good experience but I had a request for piece of birthday cake as we were there for my wife's birthday.
The food was fairly plain for the price. Not impressed at all. Could have taken 6 more people to Cracker Barrel for brunch for the same price and got similar food. Our check had one price on it. But when the waiter brought it back after running the card, it was $20 higher. He said it was because he forgot to ring in our drinks. Not our fault. Once you bring the check, that is what we should pay. Can't add after that. He should have checked it before bringing it. Overall, I have no intentions on coming back. Paying more for the view. And I can get it for free at work.
Halibut was perfect! Service was excellent. Sunset over the Ohio was a bonus.
We went to RIVUE for the first time and loved it. We noticed many regulars as well as hotel guests and the regulars encouraged us to come back often. I think they would benefit from posting a dress code since 80% of people were in semi-formal attire and the remaining 20% were in very casual attire. It is an elegant space with fantastic views of the river and a panorama of the waterfront from the knobs of Indiana to the east end bridge. We had oysters on the half shell as an appetizer, a scallop small plate for myself and the filet for my partner. The wine was excellently paired by our waiter and the old fashioned was one of the best we have had.
Overall, my experience is pretty good.
My wife and I have enjoyed several meals here. The food and service are exceptional. We have enjoyed the Sunday Brunch and several romantic dinners. The view from the rotating dining areas is fantastic.
Had celebration dinner with family. The dining room is richly appointed, luxury dining at its finest. A beautiful enjoyable experience as you sit atop some of the BEST views in Louisville all as the room revolved ever so slowly. Fun. My scallops were heavenly and the Black Angus steak was done to perfection. Attentive and courteous service. We all had a fantastice time. Perfect place to have a cocktail or dinner if you want to impress.
We went on Easter Sunday with a pre-fixed menu. It was good but not great. Our server was on top of everything but, honestly, a bit of a basket case. I ordered the frittata (brunch menu) as my main and it felt like it had been prepared well in advance and reheated. Not what you're looking for for this price point. All of that said, it's a BEAUTIFUL view of the city and the river.
Great views of the River in this rotating restaurant. The food was excellent and fit for foodies. They also had high end wine like The Prisoner by the glass which I loved. Everything we had was great!
Great food, cocktails and view!
Awesome place to take in-town and out-of-town guests.
We had an exceptional dinner with creative dishes of sea scallops, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms--all very tasty. Normally not dessert-eaters, we shared selections from the dessert side and the dessert cocktail side of the menu, with a birthday surprise that made the evening very special. Worth a trip to Louisville for this experiences.
Excellent visit! However, I requested a window seat but didn’t get one. Window tables were available the entire time. But we still had an outstanding view.
Great meal, our server Peter was very attentive, the view is amazing. Not our first visit and we'll visit again when back in town.
Beautiful view, delicious food, but terrible service, server didn’t show up but 2 or 3 times aout of the 1 hour and 30 min I was there
We had the best waitress beautiful personality and very attentive
It never disappoints.
