   The food was ok but quite ordinary - should have been much better for the price. Service was cheerful enough but amateurish - again, should have been better for the price. The name of the restaurant is misleading, I could even say dishonest: there is no view of the river from the restaurant. There is a car park and a main road between the restaurant and the river and the restaurant is below street level so the river cannot be seen. If an unusually tall boat went past you might just see the top of it.

   good food which is a rarity in buffet this is how indian food is made don't miss the chicken shorba (soup for newbies)

   I was very disappointed with this restaurant. Firstly, despite being called the Riverview restaurant, it was not possible to see the river at all from the restaurant - unless perhaps you stood on the top of the table! The service was slow and it felt as if it was a major imposition for the staff to get our order. The Sunday buffet offered minimal options. While the food was ok, it was certainly nothing special. In addition, it was arranged at the end of the room in front of the kitchen doors so it was not possible to get to easily and we constantly had to move so that the staff could get past. At one point a member of staff pushed past, treading on my heels while doing so without so much as an apology. I won't be going here again.

   Enjoyed the 3 course Sunday carvery at Riverview restaurant in Surbiton. Good food served on the buffet, friendly service. Staff offered to honour price shown on toptable even though it's gone up. Would go again.

   A very pleasant sunday lunch att the Riverview in Surbiton, took my newly moved in student sister there for a refuel after a hard week of partying and it served the purpose very well.

   We dined on a Friday night when they serve an Indian buffet. The service was excellent and there was a very good selection of food to choose from. Good value for money and very tasty. Would definately return and recommend to others. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant.
