Rivershore Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
Kim waS great! chicken tortilla soup And chicken fried steak were just right. Restaurant was busy but we were seated right away and everyone was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is always fun and upbeat.Great place to sit and have a conversation over lunch.
Food was excellent. Waitress and hostess very friendly and attentive! Made sure we were happy with everything. Definitely pay attention to details and take care of customers.
View of river and eagles soaring were wonderful to watch.
Food prices were perfect for food ordered.
Went to bar after and had a Spanish Chupacabra which was inventive and delicious. Bartender was adorable and made sure all the customers were taken care of!
Great place to relax after a long day.
Highly recommend crab cakes appetizer and prime rib dinner! Best prime rib around!
We meet as a group of friends for lunch one Sunday a month, and really enjoy Rivershore! The staff is absolutely delightful and take great care of their customers. And the food is yummy! Be sure try the Greek Wrap, and don't forget the tater tots!
FABULOUS FOOD...Beautiful riverfront view....excellent service.....BUT TOO TOO TOO NOISY! The food is to die for delicious (especially the battered chicken and mashed potatos if you need the best comfort meal in the world), fantastic desserts...well worth it in every way EXCEPT TOO LOUD. This was our second time going there for a very special occasion and were so hoping our first experience of horrible accoustics and LOUDNESS was just a fluke. It was not. This time was even worse, sadly...although it is true our perfect table was sandwiched between two large groups (one with profoundly loud children), this wonderful restaurant would be SO MUCH BETTER if they would 1) carpet the floors, 2) add some sound absorbing ceiling/wall materials, and/or at the very least, 3) put FELT on the chair feet! Every time someone moved a chair it was this loud drumlike grumble that reverberated through the room...and chairs move a lot with people coming and going all evening. Once the large tables FINALLY left it did get more quiet but still the chair rumbling on the floors continued and because of the accoustics we could still hear most everyone's conversations (actually even more because the LOUDS had finally left). Please, awesome restaurant, DEAL WITH YOUR NOISE ISSUES! Everything else is picture perfect and beyond words delicious. Next time (if there is a next time) we will at least be bringing heavy duty earplugs....
The food was great (I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the halibut on my salad being dry) the other plates were excellent. Service was excellent. It's probably the best place in the Oregon City vicinity. Not pretentious as the Italian place in OC downtown and not as expensive. Pricing is just right. Great atmosphere and the view of the river. We will definitively go back!
Went here for Father's Day breakfast and aside from a mix-up between regular and blueberry pancakes, it was not bad. Is it strange that the "Greek" omelet has guacamole? Nice view of the river, but older decor and the only entrance without stairs is through the lounge.
We are "snowbirds" so the last time we were here was last summer. We all
commented on how the "noise" of all conversations around us had increased.
In the past, we did not remember so much of others conversations. Just a lot
of LOUDNESS in the main dining area. Possible the restaurant should look at
installing sound suppression. We felt like we were in more of a bar type
atmosphere. Not a true dining experience with atmosphere. Not quiet at all.
Food was good and service was great! Just do something about the fact that
the noise was horrible. The bad thing was that only a few tables were occupied.
Can't even imagine what it would be like if all tables were in use.
I came here on Mother's Day with a group of 10. I got there 15 minutes before my reservation and I waited over an hour and 10 minutes to be seated there was no sitting for everyone waiting the lobby. I kept asking when we are going to be seated and they just kept saying in a few minutes then they'd be a half hour later then it's an hour later and finally at the last 10 minutes I start calling other restaurants because I had a lot of kids with me and my mother and my grandmother and at that point everybody's angry and hungry finally one of the wait staff grabs a table from the bar and puts it with another table and Seats us at the hour and 10 minute mark . Then I felt very rushed when I got seated even though I waited a very long time to eat. I was not offered anything to drink we all drink water I could only order one item off their buffet menu I tipped well over $60 for our meal as I understand being in the food industry you tip when you do good but if you asked me if I will ever come back here again my answer would be no, maybe it was a holiday but regardless I was not the only one waiting there's at least four five other parties waiting for their appointment to get seated.
I ate here with 3 other colleagues for dinner after landing in Portland. It was on the way to our destination and we were very pleased by the location and ambiance.
The waitress was very friendly. However, three of our orders were not quite what we ordered. I and another colleague ordered the prime rib but different temperatures. The plates arrived with the wrong steaks. It was fine because we simply traded steaks. My other colleague however asked for a custom plate of grilled chicken and vegetables. The waitress misunderstood and she got the pasta with grilled chicken and vegetables. She ended up not having a dinner because we were short on time. The fourth meal arrived perfectly as requested.
Despite the mix up, the meals were fabulous. I would definitely return but if you want to order something off the menu, you have to be very clear and say what you don't want in addition to what you do want.
We had a 7:00 reservation and we were seated at nearly 8:00.
I ordered halibut and it had clearly been frozen for a long time. Seemed freezer burned.
My husband ordered the rib eye which he could not even chew.
My glass of wine was stale.
Luckily the bread was good. We filled up in that.
We celebrated Valentine's Day at River Shore ... Service was indeed outstanding. Server was Heather, and she was absolutely perfect. Just a delight.
I ordered a steak, extra well done, which I KNOW is difficult for the chef. This time (I've had steaks there many times before) it was way over cooked, which was a disappointment. I normally get a very good steak there.
So other than my steak, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. Big thanks to Heather.
I always enjoy dining here! It's definitely my go to spot. The staff always makes me feel so welcome and the food is top notch. I would definitely recommend their prime rib and their halibut fish and chips. I can't wait to bring in more of my friends so they can see what a great place this is!
We were staying at the hotel close to the grill and decided it would be nice to have a drink and meal and not to have drive. We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated. It appeared business was slow in the dining room and we received our drink, then were forgotten..... The appetizer arrived much later. It was the crab/spinach/cheese with pita chips and was served with unmelted cheese on top and tasted blah. We ordered Codfish and Chips waited another 45 minutes. Had to ask for water. Meal was very disappointing. We were told everyone was ordering fish and chips in the bar was reason for delay. Total time spent 1 hour 45 minutes
