Rivers Ratings and Reviews
I was in town with my young daughter for a concert and booked this reservation in advance. An afternoon of shopping left both of us without a phone charge and facing a uncertain path back to the theater. Fortunately, the part of the restaurant we were seated in was quiet and our fantastic waitress immediately figured out we were looking for an outlet to charge a phone. She was extremely helpful, located a nearby outlet and pulled a chair over to rest my purse on while my phone charged.
We ordered the shrimp bruchetta (fantastic) and the guacamole tower for appetizers and then the salmon with spinach and butter beans and the crusted scallops for dinner. Everything was tasty and I'd definitely recommend both the food and service.
We redeemed OpenTable points and choose to eat here. This was our first time to the restaurant. Since the temperature was in the 70's, most people were eating outside next to the river. We chose to eat inside. It was quiet, service was excellent, and the food was very good (portions were not too large, but just right. I had the scallops, listed as a signature dish. They were excellent. I followed this with the pumpkin pie for dessert, also excellent. My guess is this place is very busy when there is a show at the lyric opera located just across the street
I was worried as I had never eaten here before and it was one of the few places that was open near the Lyric. I had 6 pm reservations, but the opera started at 7:30. We were in and in no time and the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Even the hostess up front was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Rivers to anyone enjoying a night out on the town/special occasion.
I had made 5:30 pm reservations for dinner so we can dine before the opera. Traffic was crazy bad and I called twice to let them know we were running behind schedule. The second time I called, I explained that we would not likely arrive until closer to 6 pm and asked if we could still be seated, and have enough time to eat and still make it to the opera in time. She was more than accommodating and assured me we could still have dinner there. When we arrived, we were seated immediately and we had a very nice dinner - and coffee afterwards - with plenty of time to spare. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Rivers for graciously accommodating our late arrival and limited dining time! We are very appreciative and will most definitely be back!
Outstanding an attentive staff and management team. We had two managers visit our table throughout our dinner, it was a nice touch as it gave us a true sense of appreciation of our business. Food was decadent, the sauces were flavorful alone and complimentary to the food on the plate- not over powering. Waitress, I so wish I got her name (female, blond hair, pony tail) was attentive and knowledge of foods and wine list.
Service was amazing
Menu is so over priced for what you get. The ribeye sandwich was so poorly cooked -parts were still cold and basically uncooked. It was just disgusting. Been coming here over 15 years and the food has gone downhill as the prices have skyrocketed
Enjoyed our evening at Rivers immensely! The food was fantastic, the drinks superb, the ambiance "to die for", wait staff was attentive and the company of my Executive Staff, unbeatable. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a classy, warm, friendly place for dinner. drinks, a special occasion - whatever. LOVED IT!
Met a friend for lunch and the food was awful. Chicken on miso chicken papaya was dry and rubbery, strawberries were tired and lettuce was sad. Penne pasta with chicken was over cooked but we were so hungry we ate it anyway. We had to remind server three times to bring Arnold palmer. Rivers food was always a favorite but in the past 6 months it continues to decline in quality.
