Great views and even better service! Can’t wait to go back
The food and service were outstanding. The view was absolutely fabulous!!! Cant wait until the next time...
Truly an outstanding meal on the coast. The meal was fabulous and the service was the best. The view of the sunset out our window made the whole experience special. Can’t wait to go back!
River’s End is our go to place to bring out of town guests. It has a lovely view and the food is always consistently good. The duck confit salad was great....the Mexican hamburger was fine and the fish and chips had a nice crispy coating without being overly fried.
Truly fantastic experience. During daylight the view is stunning. At dinner the food is stunning. Unquestionable the best overall cuisine and wine list in the North Coast.
One of the best hidden gems of California. Definitely recommend to others.
Very romantic place to eat and stay. I wish we stayed there longer, a digital detox.
We love River’s End! We celebrated our Anniversary there. Special time with great food! The dessert we received for our anniversary was fabulous!
Katie was superb! Go for sunset...stunning. We had the seasonal crab tasting - all was delicious but I’m dreaming of that crab ravioli
The food is sublime!!! We are never disappointed!!! It's favorite place to eat for any occasion...beautiful views and thoughtful creative food!!
Overall disappointing. I reserved dinner for my husband's birthday knowing how much he loves seafood and crab. I have a dairy allergy, which I marked on the reservation. I even previewed the menu online before making reservations thinking a couple of slight modifications might be needed, but nothing too extensive. When we arrived, we were told that there was nothing not he crab tasting meal that I could have, and that changes could not be made. Then, because of the timing of the meal, my husband would not be able to have the crab tasting menu either. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!
I was given roughly 3 choices on the entire menu by my server, and I selected the filet with a balsamic reduction on the side. The reduction was too overpowering for the food. My steak was medium when I requested medium rare (the server did not check in afterward to see if it was to my liking). The vegetables were cooked in oil, and had too much oil for my liking. They did accommodate my husband a little and offered one of the appetizers off the crab menu - a crab ravioli. It was very tasty, but we were surprised at the price of $25 for a single ravioli! He states the halibut was very good.
While the views are stunning, I cannot recommend this restaurant for others with a dairy allergy. You will be disappointed overall.
We love this restaurant! You can't beat the views or service. We ate off of the crab menu and everything was amazing! The flavors of their sauces were so good. We had such an amazing, relaxing lunch. We definitely will be back many times .
Had a great experience at River's End. Food and service was great. I would recommend this restaurant for every day eating or for special occasions.
Rivers End is one of my favorite restaurants. Nice people, beautiful setting, and creators of some of the finest meals that can be found anywhere.
Wonderful stay & dining experience! Leona & Katie took care of us our first night at dinner. Excellent service! Our second night at dinner Evan served us! Excellent as well!! We’ve stayed & dined at Rivers End before it became popular. It was quite busy both nights, but the servers were excellent through it all. The wine pours could have been more than a quarter of the glass full.
The 5 course crab meal was spectacular. Too bad the service wasn't the same. It took over 1 hour before we received our 1st course. We sat for another hour before the 2nd course arrived and only because we complained. When the reservation was made, I said that we would all be having the 5 course meal so it should have been expected. Not sure if it was server or kitchen's fault. There server was nice and very sorry and made adjustments to our bill.
One of the best meals I’ve ever enjoyed. Absolutely fantastic and a gorgeous, intimate restaurant.
So amazing.
We love River’s End. Always a wonderful experience.
If we split an entree and have a couple appetizers, it is the perfect opportunity to try a little of everything and enjoy every bit of it!
Excellent in every way.
Nice view with excellent food and service! Highly recommend!
The restaurant was very VERY loud. The hostess blamed us for her not being able to find us on their not very crowded deck, so we were seated late. The bartender was very unfriendly. Not coming back.
Wonderful ambiance, very good food, and good service Not crowed so low noise level
The service, view and food were all equally great. We were well taken care of, had a gorgeous view of the water and the food (seafood) was all very fresh and without much wait. We will definitely come back.
Excellent food, service & the view was to die for. We'll definitely be back.
Food: It was amazing! We had the five course crab tasting. The stuff spinach ravioli with dungeness crab was our favorite, the citrus in the cream sauce definitely elevated the dish. The crab tom kha was phenomenal as well, besides the tiny bites of crab shells here and there. Our meal also included the asian crab salad and the filet mignon, both which are decent. Cocktail ranges from $10-$15 average, you'd expect that price at a place like this. I loved my cocktail, it was perfectly balanced. Overall, we did spend 3 hours to eat our five course meal. I get that it got busy on valentines day so we're not too hurt about it.
Service: Our waitress and hostess was so friendly. Definitely added extra tip for her attitude and patience. Got seated right next to the window and the view was breathtaking. Loved the way how she explained each of our dishes. It was definitely a busier night, but there're always another person refilling water or clearing the tables.
Ambiance/area: Definitely come prepared if you're coming from out of town. There is no service for a good amount of radius. Figure out the route to get home before getting there. Parking was easier for me because I came right when dinner opened. But the area is limited (from what I can gather) and it may be harder to get parking on a busier night. I loved the open patio concept and you can roam around with your drink while you wait for your food. Beautiful atmosphere and so peaceful. The inside can get a little noisy, but it's to be expected.
Overall, this experience exceeded my expectation and I would visit again.
We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time and we’re properly seated at a window seat that I had requested during my reservation. Our waiter introduced himself and took our orders for drinks and water gave us plenty of time to review the menu and make our selection. We ordered two appetizers which were delicious. We both ordered the Alaskan halibut it was served up with a delicious sauce and a nice size portion. This is our third visit to this restaurant and each time has been excellent, it’s a bit pricey but great for a special occasion.
Valentines day
Food was amazing. Service very professional and friendly. Don’t expect 5 star decor inside though. The amazing panoramic view of the ocean makes up for it. Try to get a table or at least grab a cocktail around sunset we’ll worth it.
Amazing service, food and view. We shared the Crab Tasting menu. Every course was so special!!
Richard was amazing. He made the food come to life.
Second time we got to enjoy the crab tasting menu. Raviolo was delicious as was the salad, and crab cake . The only item I wouldn't order again was the steak. It was just ok. Clams were also a big hit. Desserts were good as well.
The food, atmosphere and service at River's End are consistently excellent which is not that common these days and we appreciate the care, deliciousness and creativity we experience every time we visit.
Exquisite meal!
Everything about this restuarant is top notch! We chose this restaurant from reading about top ten places to eat in Northern Ca. It's about a 31/2 hour trip for us, but the area is beautiful and well worth the trip
River's End restaurant is truly a culinary treat. From the seating to the dessert. Quarterly there is a tasting meal special, this particular one we just enjoyed was Dungeness Crab. The 5 course meal was perfectly timed, and each dish was carefully plated. The portions were perfect, not too filling, just right, so every dish could savored. You can add a wine tasting along with this meal also. The regular menu has delicious choices and everything is beautifully prepared. You really can't beat the service, truly a pleasant experience. The wine list is prefect for the foods available and the cocktails and mocktails are very creative. There are many seats with a view of the Russian River as it meets the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to make a reservation in advance for the best chance at one of these tables.
I am a regular to Rivers End when vacationing on the Sonoma Coast. I am never disappointed. Truly unique establishment and rugged as the Pacific Coast in appearance. The food however, is fine dining that is on par with the best restaurants in Manhattan, Paris, Rome or anywhere else I have dined. All expertly prepared and well paired with a large assortment of wines, both local and international. Service is excellent. This night I had the 5-course crab dinner and wine pairing. Remarkable. In the past, the salmon 5-course dinner is equally amazing. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to make the winding road drive along the coast to Jenner.
Great food.
Great service.
Great overall experience.
Can’t wait to go back!
Wonderful waiter. Saw seals and waiter fixed telescope. Very informative
Mushroom soup was excellent. The sea food salad was just ok - would have been better if it had been served in a large bowl as a tossed salad rather than have all the sea food in clumps on the side of the plate. Desserts were excellent.
Wonderful cocktail, table for sunset, and bartender/server! Ordered Dungeness crab tasting menu. Large portions! Loved Miyagi oysters, Amuse Bouche, ravioli, soup, and Lobster and crab cake. Not as impressed with salad, filet, desserts.
This is one of my “must experience” places when friends visit from out of town. It’s the perfect ending for a day hiking on the Sonoma Coast & viewing sunset. Food is top notch and service very professional. Thank you all.
Had the crab five course experience. Best lunch I have ever had and one of the top five meals I have ever had.
