Employees that bring you to the table should be thought to pull out the chair an invite the woman to sit. It just makes a wonderful initiation to the dining experience. I had to do it for my wife.

The prices were a little high, but of course that was expected and reflected in its $$$ rating. However, plates were beautiful and interesting, flavors were spot on, high quality service, etc. Overall, me and my lovely girlfriend had an amazing experience for our belated Valentine's day lunch, and have been recommending Riverpark to whomever asked us about it. Thanks again for an excellent meal!
Valentine’s Day. Unmemorable as far as the food. Scallops were ok. The fish was average. Dessert was good (creme brûlée). Burrata and oysters were average. No special treats for Valentine’s Day. Overall, the restaurant has nice ambiance but the food is just above average and this is certainly not close to Michelin star material.
My daughters and I decided on an early Valentine's Day dinner on Tuesday at River Park. First, the parking was perfect ! Validated parking for $5 can't beat it! Dinner and service was amazing. There were 3 of us, and we had 2 apps (Octopus and Sweet breads), 2 pastas, (Cavatelli and Fussili) , and 2 entrees (Chicken and Duck) All amazing and the wine steward was knowledgeable and gracious and we ended up with a super tasty Turley Zin. We came for the view, which was a lovely skyline, but we honestly didn't pay much attention to it, the food was so good and the conversation. I'd highly recommend. (P.S. Hey Tom C., maybe a little more salt on the birds :) )
Save your money! Mediocre food, poor service and not a fabulous river view! We went for brunch on a Sunday and we were the only people there for quite a while. Less than 20 were there when we departed - that's quite telling! One host, two servers and 4 serving assistants for a small crowd and yet the service was slow and lacked any enthusiasm, energy or personality. Quite disappointing overall.
Location, location, location
A good (though not great) restaurant ruined by its miserable location and lack of signage. The restaurant is tucked away in the chilly, characterless corporate lobby of some chilly, characterless office building, with zero warmth and character (see above re chilly and characterless) and amenities -- coat-check, etc. -- that are so poorly located and thrown together they seem nothing more than second-rate afterthoughts. The signage overall is really bad -- it's a problem when diners can't find the bathroom -- and the dining room itself feels about two steps up from a hotel coffee shop. And improvement on the coffee shop....but not enough to warrant the prices. Cap all of this with the fact that it's a healthy hike from anywhere, that there are NO signs as to where the entrance is....all in all, not really a great experience. Good food, nice service, never going back.
I went to Riverpark for restaurant week. The only negative was the weather on that particular date, but it was worth the while.
There were more selections on the menu than any other restaurant I have been to for restaurant week, and all the selections were good.
The food was exquisite, and the service outstanding. The location is great and the restaurant ambiance is fenomenal.
I will definitely go back and most definitely will recommend to family and friends
Excellent service and quiet, low key atmosphere. We went during restaurant week and the menu was varied and superb. The octopus carpaccio was amazing. The desserts were phenomenal. The presentation is exquisite - very minimal and artistic. Highly recommend.
A few friends and I went for restaurant week and it was great! 3 courses for $42, and everything was spectacular. Everyone left full and very pleased. Between us, we tried squid ink risotto, bolognese, brisket, salmon, baby octopus, creme brûlée, and everything was fantastic. Will definitely be back!
I visited Riverpark for a restaurant week lunch with my fiancé. Everything was phenomenal. The service was great, food was tasty and presentation of the dishes were very creative and interesting. Even the olive oil that was served with the bread for the table was delicious. The taste was so fresh! The only thing that could have made it better is if we were able to be seating near the window to have a view of the water.
This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Keep doing what you do Riverpark!
Came for the restaurant week. The kale salad srsl was huuuge as a starter. Super flavorful and had various textures. For entree I had the roasted branzino. The skin was crispy and tasted fantastic (tho I was shocked by the last bite which was super salty). The quinoa as a side was a lil bit too sweet for me. For dessert, I had the maple pecan buree. A nutty & milky kind of taste. Very creamy. Not a supersizing one but was decent. Overall, great experience here. Made me happy.
We were at Riverpark during NYC Restaurant Week. Food was excellent, menu offered more than 25 dishes, pasta could be chosen as a starter or main course and desserts were gorgeous. They also had a special drink menu for Restaurant Week. Service was outstanding and noise level just appropriate to have a nice conversation. Perfection!
Had dinner here for Winter RW 2018 on a Thursday night, so this place was quite busy. Despite being busy, they were able to deliver great service!! Octopus Carpaccio was delicious!! Do yourself a favor and get their Cereal & Milk dessert! You won't be disappointed!
We decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week to have lunch at Riverpark. While the regular lunch and dinner menus are somewhat pricey for just a casual lunch with a friend, the Restaurant Week lunch Menu was wonderful and was a great value. The setting is gorgeous, right on the East River with unobstructed views; the menu inventive and interesting, and the service was great. It's a special occasion place and I will certainly put it at the top of my list for lunch or dinner when a special occasion calls for something special.
Came for Restaurant Week and was so impressed that the entire menu was part of the Restaurant Week menu--so many options! Everybody we encountered (for the woman at coat check, to the hostess, and the servers) were so friendly and attentive. Not to mention we were seated by the huge windows and had an amazing view! Would definitely recommend.
My husband and I decided to try the restaurant for Restaurant Week. I never knew this location existed which is offers a view of the East River and Long Island City skyline. The restaurant offered practically every dish for dinner on their normal menu for the restaurant week special price. It was the first time that we had trouble with picking a dish. My husband and I had the lamb chops, which were cooked perfectly. The drinks can be pricey, but they an very extensive wine selection. I cannot wait to go again once the weather is warmer.
