RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately the food was really middle of the road. Quail was over cooked, scallops had no taste, the muscles were full of sand and had to be sent back, tuna although I know sushi grade was freezing in the center. The 48$ linguini neri my son enjoyed but way over priced. The oysters were very good, those were ordered after we sent mussels back. 350$ for 4 with one drink and 2 glasses of wine. Really overpriced for the for the really middle of the road food.
The waiter was very nice however.
Good food, nice restaurant. Pleasant to walk on River Walk a block away for after meal diversion. However, I was surprised that though I had specified that we wanted a window/river view for a birthday lunch, no one greeting us there seemed to know, even though there were plenty of tables available when we arrived. Seems we could have just walked in instead of making a reservation, and had the same experience.
The wife and I had a wonderful time here. We had planned a Halloween date night at the RiverMarket Bar and Kitchen before heading up to Sleepy Hollow to attend the festivities. The staff were extremely polite, pleasant, and accommodating. Despite the menu noting gluten free items/options the waitress (Patricia) was more than happy to double check items for my wife, who can still fall ill with items identified as "gluten free," (i.e. gluten free oats, beer glazes, etc). What really took our experience to the next level was when we realized we had forgotten our printed tickets for that evenings events at home (certain activities that evening required printed tickets rather than electronic copies on our phones). To our surprise the waitress offered us an email to send our electronic copies to, and the restaurant printed off extras for us. We couldn't thank them enough for the amazing customer service. Not to mention the food was simply amazing. Both dishes were extremely tasty, and offered just the right amount of food. I would highly recommend this to any friend or family member.
Went to this restaurant in hopes it was good, recommended by Open Table and we were not disappointed. It has something for everyone. Pizza, Pasta, fine dining items. Our waiter was excellent and whenever we asked for anything we received it . I asked for honey for my decaf tea and it came in a Little pitcher. They sell the honey in the farm area and it was excellent. I was also able to get a smaller dish of pasta. Bread was excellent...all in all it was a very good dinner and dining experience.
Great food but a little pricey for the portion sizes. A wonderful place for a fun meal with friends. We ordered the most reasonable wine on the list and it was still amazing. If I lived closer I would definitely return for an afternoon meal or a date night.
Went with friends and this was our second time. The pizza is very good- one of my favorites and I was pleased that my vegan diet was easily accommodated with a Vegan plate for entree and a pizza with no cheese option! Wine was great and the desserts spectacular! Friends enjoyed the salmon and scallops and the beignets were to die for!
Great venue and we enjoyed our meal very much although veggie burger was ok, nothing great so may not order it again.
The service was great but they could have let us enjoy our meal instead of constantly checking on us. The food came out in about 6 min and then the staff was constantly on top of us until we asked to be left alone until we were ready for dessert. I have been there before and it wasn’t as intense with the service. I would go back and try it again.
First time here. My husband had short ribs that was the best tasting ever....like it was browned on BBQ first. I had soft shell crab in salad. Delicious! Other 3 people thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. Of note... we sat outside and inside was pretty loud.
Rivermarket's food is imaginatively conceived and the execution is excellent. I dined with three other people and we each had different entrees. Each of us believed that our dish was superb.
The wine list is very interesting and complete. In addition, there are some good choices for wines by the glass in red, white, rose and sparkling varieties.
We hit a very busy Saturday night during a busy local fall festival season so this was not a spot for a quiet, relaxed meal. All things considered, the service was acceptable. One of our servers did not speak English which is not optimal but she did find some one for us who did.
This is not a "value" restaurant - the tab is quite steep considering we had relatively inexpensive wine and only two appetizers among four people in addition to our mains. So I will be reserving this for special company / special occasions.
We booked a Friday lunch with friends visiting from out-of-state. We chose to eat indoors although most of the diners were outside on the terrace. Our table (circular – perfect for a party of 5) was in the front corner of the restaurant with a nice view; and it was very quiet – perfect for catching up with good friends. The food and service were excellent, especially the Niçoise salad. The one disappointment was the coffee – honestly, I have had better made from instant.
This was our 3rd weekend in a row we dined at Rivermarket. There is a wide variety of dining options mostly all farm to table. The dishes are creative, generous in portion, and cooked beautifully. There is a large patio to sit outside when the weather is nice and a large bar inside to grab a drink with some friends. This past weekend there was a patron who had a little too much to drink and the waiter and owner Glenn handled it beautifully. I would highly recommend dining here for either Sunday brunch or a night out with friends.
I took my husband to RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen for his birthday dinner, but unfortunately we were not waited on for 25 MINUTES!! after being seated. The tables next to us were waited on, but not us. The servers stood there at their station, and looked at us. We were clearly dressed up for a special occasion. Eventually we left. I can't recommend this restaurant.
