River House Seafood
Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere.
Did not have live music as advertised. This one of the reasons I booked it.Very disappointed.
Great environment. Amazing food! I would recommend to friends.
Wonderful grouper! Perfect setting looking out at the river.
Our server was so sweet and wonderful!
The seafood tower was extremely fresh and very good, the crab stuffed flounder was ok, Could’ve used a bit more seasoning. I was there with my husband and there was plenty of seating available however we were surrounded by 3 families with young children which were very loud, crying and whiny. We chose to eat fairly early and cannot understand why they wouldn’t have set the families a bit closer together and may be away from couples that were dining alone especially when there were A LOT of tables available
Excellent food, loved the fried green tomatoes and sea bass! There were 5 of us, tasted everything - all wonderful. Great service too~Perfect way to spend Mother's Day!
The food was served hot and delicious. It was dinner time and busy. Our server Ashley was polite.
We had a great meal in a charming setting. It was a short walk from our hotel and we enjoyed the experience. Shrimp was great. Crab cakes were different than we had expected but good none the less.
I gave the restaurant a poor rating, but this is primarily because of the service by the hostess. We had booked an 8:30 reservation three weeks before we were arriving which was all that we could get on Open Table and it too late for our liking. We were told on the telephone that we would be able to get an earlier reservation a day or two before. But when we went in person to the restaurant the hostess told us there was nothing available all week. She also had no time for us. Therefore, we did not dine there and cancelled our reservation.
This place is amazing, had a reservation at 8:30, came late and was still seated in less than 10 minutes. Our waitress Diane (Diana) was amazing, she had great recommendations for the dinner menu and was just overall super friendly!
They make you feel at home as you ate part of the family food service top notch!
Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Excellent food and service. Low price drinks.
The seafood platter was an 8/10. The breading was bland and need more spice. I feel this dish deserves something different than fries as a side dish for the price. I will visit again.
Very accommodating staff for our party, arriving from out of town and running late, with no pressure to rush orders or service.
Absolute wonderful experience! Loved the Mahi and your Crab/Shrimp soup!!! We will be back.
This was such a letdown. 3 lobster tails went into the garbage because they were so tough and over cooked. The fried green tomatoes were slimy and the best part of the blue crab dip were the chips (fried Mission Tortillas). The grouper with crab topping was alright, but not wonderful. The server was excellent and the manager was very nice, took the lobster off the bill and sent us home with desserts...got back to the hotel and they were the desserts the table next to us had ordered. Would not recommend this to anyone at all!
We had an extremely pleasant meal here on Easter Sunday. The service was very good. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. The food was outstanding. Prices were reasonable. We will return.
Food was okay. I need to cross reference with Yelp when I see restaurants as 4.5 stars. Both entrees required salt and pepper so basic. Peach cobbler was deconstructed but very yummy.
Though this restaurant is on River Walk with a great view, the food and the service leave a lot to be desired. The service was terrible. Some people should not be waiters. A smile goes a long way. I had blackened fish which was overdone and when asked for a bit more whipped cream for the peach cobbler, it took at least 10 minutes for the waiter to bring a cup with about a half ounce of cream. I would not go back for food but for view.
Raw oysters were delicious, as was the crab stew. Entrees tasted under seasoned, and the majority of my husbands fried platter was overdone.
We were meeting a niece and her husband who we had not met yey for lunch on ou trip to Savannah. We had eaten there before a d liked the ambiance and food. It was perfect for our meeting. Food, service and atmosphere were just what we remembered. Highly recommended.
Nice casual atmosphere. We had the fried green tomato appetizer which was flavorful and well done. My husband had grouper and it had no flavor. Very disappointing. I had flounder over pasta. The flounder was flavorful but the pasta needed salt. It was very watery.
Perefwct place for a picturesque meal. The food and service were terrific. The interior is lovely and has quite a history in old time Savannah. A keeper!
Great fresh seafood. Artillery Punch was good. Rustic Old warehouse.
Outside greeter can use a little polish.
Waiter - Cody - was very attentive and did a great job for us.
Poor service. OK food.
Food was over cooked and the sauces were omitted and had to be requested. Service was polite but very slow.
The filet mignon was delicious. The quantity of food was plentiful. The restaurant was not loud and easily accessible.
I selected this location to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Although my daughter is allergic to seafood we have eaten at many seafood restaurants. This is the 1st time a manager told us they suggested we NOT eat at a place. I now know why. We ordered a veggie plate (collards, mac were horrible. I ordered the sweet potatoes awhich were uneatable because of the strings. Do NOT waste your money or time.
We had a reservation and still waited more than an hour.... appetizer came but they did not bring plates or silverware so we couldn’t eat it. they did prepare a second one and did not charge us. My husband enjoyed his fried chicken, I had filet and it was just OK.
Amazing !! We were there celebrating our anniversary and the food was awesome ... the atmosphere was just great !! Definitely will be going back very soon !!
Food over cooked and was dry. Fish was dry and didn’t have any taste.
I’d like to rate the quality of my food but I only got salad. The waiter forgot to put my order in. When they serves my wife her entree and I got my salad at the same time I should have known something was wrong. Our waiter never came by to see how things were. We finally flagged another waiter down. He got ours and we discovered he had not put mine in. They would go prepare it and give it to me for free but since we had an 8 pm reservation it was almost nine, I declined. My wife said her fish was ok. In the end they comped the whole evening. Not a good experience.
Beautiful restaurant,great food, wonderful service
Must have been a bad night. Crab dip had very little crabmeat, blue cheese potato chips had no blue cheese and the fish dish wasn’t cooked all the way. In addition the Savannah paella was dry. Have had lunch there in the past and it was good. Not a good experience this time.
Food was excellent, good fast service, dined on a weeknight.
The service was phenomenal from the wait staff. The only issue we had was we checked in for our reservation about 15 minutes early, and had to go back to the greeter to remind them of our reservation. There were at least 3-4 tables that were open the entire time we waited, and probably could have been seated a bit earlier rather than leaving us waiting. The food was great with a great variety for everyone in our party.
We had asked for a quiet table for two. We were seated in the bar with many others. Lighting was way too bright. Too noisy. Just not what we wanted for a quiet dining experience. At all.
Delicious food in a beautiful location. Will definitely come back on our next visit to Savannah.
