   Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. This place is a true gem, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! Waitress “Brooke” was friendly and helped us choose the right dish.

   Enjoyable experience with drink, appetizer, wine and entree and desert. After the meal as we were enjoying our wine and chatting the waitress prompted us to sit in the chairs by the river, I.e., vacate the table, and stood next to to our table looking/staring at us. We were still piecing at the desert but my 93yo mother, wife and I felt pressure to leave our table. We dine out frequently in Denver/Breckenridge/Vail and this was very unusual behavior. Tonight’s meal wasn’t cheaper than the other establishments that we frequent (~$420) but the experienced/value was cheapened by the staff. Shame on you, River House. How would this behavior be received by any of you or your staff?

   We love River House....This visit was lackluster simply because of service. The waiter, although a very pleasant man, was either overworked with all the other tables or simply inattentive. The drinks were tasty. Old Fashion, Figs Old Fashion, Manhattans...all very good. The oysters were very disappointing in their size for price value, but they were good. The steak and seafood entrees were very good. Always top notch. The desserts were not stellar. They were simply without the normal wow flavor. We shared the banana bread pudding and peanut butter cheesecake.

   Superb dining in every way!!! From the bartender who chatted about her recommendations for something different and delightful to our WONDERFUL waiter, Tyler, it was one of the most pleasant dining experiences we've had in a while. The setting was delightful in a semi enclosed porch overlooking the river. The appetizer of portobello with tomato chutney, goat cheese, avocado and a bed of greens was SPECTACULAR! All of our dinners (4 of us) were beyond delicious and the lava cake dessert was PERFECT!!! Seriously, if you live in Louisville or are just there on vacation, River House is a MUST for your dining pleasure. I'm waiting for them to franchise and come to WISCONSIN. Also, publishing a cookbook with the portobello appetizer recipe in it would be much appreciated!!!

    Rajab was our waiter and he was excellent! Very personable, but also very professional. He answered any questions we had and guided us through a most excellent meal. From start to finish, our experience was extremely pleasant. The bar service was fantastic. Everyone we came in contact with during our visit was wonderful. And the food was amazing. Kudos to the chef and staff as well. We have dined here quite a few times since over the years, but tonight everything clicked from the minute we walked in the door. Thank you all for a memorable evening. We will return soon.
