   We love River House....This visit was lackluster simply because of service. The waiter, although a very pleasant man, was either overworked with all the other tables or simply inattentive. The drinks were tasty. Old Fashion, Figs Old Fashion, Manhattans...all very good. The oysters were very disappointing in their size for price value, but they were good. The steak and seafood entrees were very good. Always top notch. The desserts were not stellar. They were simply without the normal wow flavor. We shared the banana bread pudding and peanut butter cheesecake.

   Superb dining in every way!!! From the bartender who chatted about her recommendations for something different and delightful to our WONDERFUL waiter, Tyler, it was one of the most pleasant dining experiences we've had in a while. The setting was delightful in a semi enclosed porch overlooking the river. The appetizer of portobello with tomato chutney, goat cheese, avocado and a bed of greens was SPECTACULAR! All of our dinners (4 of us) were beyond delicious and the lava cake dessert was PERFECT!!! Seriously, if you live in Louisville or are just there on vacation, River House is a MUST for your dining pleasure. I'm waiting for them to franchise and come to WISCONSIN. Also, publishing a cookbook with the portobello appetizer recipe in it would be much appreciated!!!

   Rajab was our waiter and he was excellent! Very personable, but also very professional. He answered any questions we had and guided us through a most excellent meal. From start to finish, our experience was extremely pleasant. The bar service was fantastic. Everyone we came in contact with during our visit was wonderful. And the food was amazing. Kudos to the chef and staff as well. We have dined here quite a few times since over the years, but tonight everything clicked from the minute we walked in the door. Thank you all for a memorable evening. We will return soon.

   Ricky the manager yelled at the hostess after she seated us on the patio where we asked to be seated. He berated her in public in front of multiple customers. Extremely unprofessional behavior and very off putting for our afternoon trying to enjoy a beautiful day. We were shocked that she would be treated so badly for simply taking us to their OPEN patio on a sunny day. If the restaurant is having internal issues, they should be kept internal and discussed privately vs a manager having a melt down like a toddler. What a disappointment.

   River House is a beautifully appointed and very welcoming place. You really cannot go wrong with this choice for a special occasion or everyday dining. It's well worth your time.

   First time having dinner with the wife here. We received the specials for the night, unfortunately the lobster dish featured for 49$ that we both chose was “unavailable “ but we were then directed to an 88$ a piece dish. Which did not offer the scallops or fish. Overall the service was good. Just had to spend double the money then what he had expected

    We sat on the covered patio and had dinner. We ordered raw oysters, which were amazing along with the Salmon and Scallops. Both dishes were delicious! I also ordered the salted caramel pistachio espresso martini… it was good, but very sweet! The patio is amazing… great view alone with outdoor fireplaces. Would recommend.
