River House Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
Our food was very good, surprisingly even better than we hoped for, which I asked to be passed along from our server to the cooks. Our server, Amanda, was excellent. Very attentive, friendly, anticipated issues we hadn't thought about , and overall, she was there when we needed her. I would ask for her as our server if we came back for another larger (or smaller) group occasion, but our last few times we were here our servers were great, too! (It's been long enough, though, that I can't recall their names.) Thanks for a great night out celebrating with family!
Sunday night all you can eat crab under 40 dollars a person. Its well worth the money. Served with an amazing potatoe salad and corn on the cobb. I would suggest this particular spot for anyone. They have a great beer selection and wonderful entres. i will be visiting again soon!!!
Good food, decent service. Server delivered sides way before crab legs so wasn't comfortable eating sides, was hot outside & sides sat awhile. Could've delivered all you can eat crab legs faster, kept waiting for more. Overall, food was good & server was courteous. He was busy that evening.
The Food is great and so is the staff. They have a super selection of beer as well as drinks. We started to meet there with my husbands siblings because the location is convenient for all of us but now we keep going back again and again . The outdoor space is very nice.
I highly recommend this place. One thing I would like to see would be cushions on the outdoor chairs.
We made a quick reservation Sunday night before memorial day at 7:50 for 8:45. We were at a micro brew that said they were only doing appetizer so I picked the closest place. Two of us got the filet wrapped in bacon and the girls got a salad in a bread bowl (sorry I don't know what it was called) and the other a burger of some sort. I have to say that even though we were the last ones there for dinner
The food still came out how we ordered it, hot and very good. I'll definitely go back again. It has a bar restaurant atmosphere but I'd put the food up against any other restaurant out there. Thanks for the good service and great food.
Our server was excellent, she had a great attitude and you could tell she just loved her job. The food was good, my husband had the fish and chips and i had a bite and excellent, wish i had ordered that. I had the ribs and they were good, but the fish and chips were excellent. Will go again next year when in the area.
We went for all you can eat wing nite. The wings were very good and there's a nice selection of sauces. There were also 1/2 price craft beer BOTTLE/CAN only though, that was not clear and ended up paying full price for craft drafts. They really need to have a daily specials page as we were not clear on all the options. Wings were a little slow to come out and second orders only come with 5. We will definitely be back! We have been there on the patio last year which is very large and nice! Orange crushes were good, but expensive.
The food was terrific and the service even better. It was a Tuesday for the grilled cheese and soup special. At least 6 grilled cheese sandwiches to choose from and the shrimp soup was outstanding. It's not your typical grilled cheese, much, much better. We will be back for more.
Food was Very good. Lobster Bisque was exceptional. The Carolina Grilled Cheeses was way more pork than cheese (that's not a complaint, but a compliment to the chef) and was so big, I took 1/2 of it home for lunch the next day. The Pitsburger was also exceptional. Service was beyond quick and the friendliest you'll find antwhere. This was a Tuesday which is grilled cheese special day with at least 4 others I want to try and have no doubt they'll be just as good as the Carolina. Like Schwartzaneger, we'll be baaaack.
Great food. Great service. Nice outdoor seating. My only complaint is the music is much much much to load. The band was great, songs were good, just played to loud for such a small area. Even when band took a break, the background music was set to loud. Very hard to have any conversation or even give your order to service staff. Lower the music and your attendance will increase for sure.
Walked in with high expectations based on previous reviews. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to seat us after we had reservations. Once seated it took awhile to get drunk orders. I had the watermelon sangria, sounded better than it was, it was watered down and in a very small glass, they charge 8 dollars for that , too steep if you ask me. Nice variety of beers tho. I had the chicken stir fry, it was decent but not great for 13 bucks. We tried the gator bites, they were good. Other people in my group ordered entrees, the steak fajita pasta, for 23
Dollars you would expect good steak but it was flat iron and only a few veggies, he said it was very salty. My fiancé got the piggyback burger, very good but they forgot his pulled pork that was supposed to be on it. They did bring him out a plate of pork tho. The waitress did her best but they were short staffed. Our food took awhile to come out and they kept forgetting to refill our drinks. I don't think I'll be back as it was a little out of my way but not a bad place if you are near Middletown. Kinda pricey if you ask me for what you get.
Not a good first time there. Food was not great, tables and chairs on the deck were not the best, bathroom was not clean, I had snow crab legs and they were soggy and no flavor at all, my wife had a burger and it was burnt and dry, the French fries and my Cole slaw were very good. They servered my meal 10 min. before my wife got her meal.
