This was the first time I took my mother to The Sage and she absolutly loved it the food was woderful the service was good I had the Macoroni and meat casserole and it was just perfect. Spicy but not overpowering. Mom's lamb was cooked to perfection. Only hint I would give make sure you are not seated under the AC unit

The only thing I did not like was I observed many of the servers giving females roses for Valentine’s Day n I didn’t receive one. If the restaurant was giving roses was it only to select women then maybe have a better process for handing the rose out so women who do t get one don’t feel isolated.

The food and service was impeccable, and worth a return anytime. A bit noisy due to proximity to the casino floor, but not "shout over the noise" noisy.

Ben the waiter was funny and attentive; a great spot!

We went during the week and food is half price. For the price I paid I would say the food was worth the price. However if I had paid full price I would have felt slightly disappointed. The Tenderloin is the best thing on the menu.

Nice menu, food was great, service exceptional. We celebrated family birthdays and were treated to a nice sparkler dessert. My only negative comment is this fine dining is located adjacent to the casinos smoking section and it wafts into the restaurant. This is uncomfortable and very noticeable especially for non smokers.

The service was ok. We arrived right before a show began and the waiter was super bus, which I understand. After many of tables left to attend the show it was only ourselves and 2 other tables. I would have expected much better service being one of the only tables in the restaurant.

As for the food 3 out of 4 of our dishes we bad! I'm not one to normally complain but damn, they were not good! We had the crab cake and calamari to start. The crab cake was a strange cylinder of not warm, but not cold crab. I was actually unsure if it just heated poorly? It tasted alright but not exactly what I was expecting for a crab cake. The calamari was good at first but once you got to the bottom of the dish there was at least 2 tablespoons of oil...it was like they forgot to drain it after taking it out of the fryer. My husband had the brisket and it was so fatty! He had to even spit a portion of it out, and presentation was sad, it could have used something fresh on the plate. I got the smokers basket and it was good, nothing amazing that I would return for, but OK. Even the free dessert we got, which was a lava cake for my husbands birthday was super sweet and did not "flow" like a lava cake once it was opened.

All in all the location is great. We stayed at the hotel in the resort, went to dinner at Sage, and then gambled for the evening, that is what made the night special. I wish dinner had been better and it would have been a home run evening.

We had excellent service. I was a little disappointed in the meat dishes. I felt that our plates were kept warm for a lengthy amount of time causing our meat to be over done. I would try again and voice my concern if needed. Has been a favorite for since they opened.

The food was good. The service wasn't as good as we hoped. The waiter wasn't very friendly and didn't check at anytime during the meal if all was ok. We weren't offered coffee or dessert but had to ask for coffee and if there was a dessert menu.
Although we know that there is smoking allowed in the casino area we assumed that the resturant would be better ventilated, but we found that the odor of cigarette smoke was pervasive in the restaurant as well as the rest of the casino. It had a negative impact on our dining experience.

This was a xmas gift from our children. I found the waiter attentive. Music was AC/DC in a formal dining restaurant.??? The menu was very limited. $48.00 for Brisket ....outrageous.
The daily special apparently was gone in the first few hours. I think if you are going to price point as a high end restaurant that all aspects have to follow. This was not a fine dining experience but the bill sure was.

It was a venue menu or so the server told us. We enjoyed the show but were so disappointed in the Sage restaurant.

Our reservation was at 7:30.We had tickets to a show at 9:00p.m. We received our entres at 8:40 giving us less than 20 minutes to eat and get to the show. The waiter came by once to refill coffee in one and a half hours. Would not go again.

Have frequented this restaurant many times, as it is convenient to go to before seeing a show at the attached concert facility. Makes for a lovely dinner and show night. The restaurant delivered higher quality in the past years. the night was very busy, as many concert attendees where there on a time schedule, but this is certainly not a new situation for this restaurant. Food was okay, tasty but over cooked. Not the quality that is expected for the price. Wine list selection has decreased and much of the selection is low grade, high selling cheaper wines.
May have to consider dining somewhere else before attending future concerts.

My wife and I had the Seafood Steak special for 2 last week on our date night. It was fantastic . It was so good we
actually went back again this week and had it again. All of the food at Sage has been great over the last couple months.
The service has been ok
The odd thing we found was if you order water they bring it to you in a bottle but they don’t pour it.
The waiters seemed a little to concerned about how much the bill was prior to a discount.
In my eyes great service gets a great tip.

Other than that I would recommended the restaurant to anyone that loves a great meal
It is on our top 5 restaurants in Edmonton

We were there for the Monday night buck a shuck oyster special, we were happily surprised to find out the whole menu was 50% off that night. Tried several appie & salad plates in addition to the oysters, it was all very tasty.

We spent more on bottled water then booze. Waiter added a second glass of wine to my already filled glass without asking and when asked why he did that, he explained my husband told him to, which he did not. Could not separate the bill according to couple as per requested. Way over priced for food. I don’t like to be hosed.

Had dinner with my mother in law and we had such a great time. The staff were very friendly and proffesional. The manger made his way around to every table checking in with his patrons to ensure everything was ok. Never a disappointment when you go to dinner at Sage in the Rivercree Casino. Thank you once again for a wonderful dining experience. Keep up the good work! :)

The service was excellent, along with the appetizers. It was a special occasion and the restaurant went out of their way to include special touches throughout the meal. Unfortunately we collectively found the food just okay which was disappointing considering the reviews and price. My husband and I particularly enjoy high end food and our meals we're both a miss from plating to palate. Would perhaps try again because of the service.

This was a very disappointing experience. The seating arrangement (at least ours) was not well suited for couples as we were seated side by side rather than opposite each other and the view was out into the casino - not very appealing. We had heard good things about the restaurant and the manager was and greeter were very nice. Our main concern, though, was the meal. We ordered the 8oz. fillet and the smoker basket (game hen and ribs). We actually had to sent the first fillet back as it was very tough and stringy; the second one was much better. The basket was very disappointing too - absolutely no flavour other than smoke. The ribs were dry and numbered 3 in total. The game hen was decent but nothing special. Overall, for $100 with one glass of wine, this was a very, very disappointing meal and kind of put a bit of a damper on our whole night. I rarely write reviews (good or bad) unless the reason stands out as exceptional and this was exceptional but not in a good way.

We had THE BEST experience here! We went to Sage for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and they couldn't have been more accommodating! They seated us by the fire place, they didn't seat anyone else by us for a while so we could have a private and romantic dinner. The food was amazing, the server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly regarding all the menu items. We have a wonderful time there, and will be going back every year as our tradition!
