Always love coming here! Staff is always great and food is on point!
Great service, great food, great view! Perfect Sunday Brunch!
Meat loaf? Should be called meatball! Server was loopy , lousy cocktail drinks ... tasted water down. Chicken was dry .. slow slow slow service. Best thing was the view and the dessert.
Enjoyed a beer sampler. Server was very helpful and attentive. Food well prepared and tasty.
First time visit since I'm new to the Jacksonville area. My wife and I were looking for a pre-theatre dinner venue. Great service and great food. Really enjoyed the bacon jam in the shrimp and grits dish. Will definitely be back.
Their own beer was very good. Best shrimp and grits I ever had!
Beautiful setting, great food, terrific service. Took out of town guest who loved the view and the resturant. Staff very friendly.
The view was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch in a beautiful setting. We’d highly recommend the shrimp and smoked gouda grits
tbh, very disappointed with visit. Did not realize that Sunday lunchtime was a brunch menu only so that was our mistake. We looked at outdoor seating which would have been fine for a weekday happy hour but not what we had hoped for Sunday lunch. Inside was Ok but place was 3/4 empty so had a very empty feel to it. Brunch items were pretty dodgy- roast beef was v. chewy and the spinach/artichoke was congealed. Place has a great location on the river but is just had no vibe/ambience and the food was not great. Maybe with a regular menu and a couple of beers would improve my opinion! ;)
Very disappointed in Ceasar’s salad as it was VERY garlicy
Overall, it was good, attended for a reception and stayed for dinner. Food was good although Salmon was a bit dry.
There were a number of private parties in banquet rooms, service in main dining room was very slow. Waiter said order machine ran out of paper. 2 of 4 meals served after 65 minutes, other 2 meals arrived almost 10 minutes later. Service at other tables was also very slow.
Our waiter was AWESOME!!! Our food was horrible! For almost 200.00 what a huge waste of money!!! Such a disappointment for my son’s 21st birthday!
Calamari was so chewy and in one huge piece you could not even cut up.
Crab dip was a paste that tasted awful but we ate the chips.
Shrimp and grits had 5 shrimp and no taste.
Crab cake was filled with stuffing hardly any crab.
Fish tacos had 2 little pieces of fish.
Cheeseburger was burnt to a crisp.
We enjoyed the cold French fried if that tells you anything.
A must when entertaining out of town guests
It was great
Jambalaya was awful. It was microwaved. Had hot spots in it. No flavor. No spice. Very disappointing.
Very accomodative to our requests. Gave us the maximum privacy for our small group. Servers were attentive and food was delivered promptly and tasted very good. No complaints from any of our group members.
Outstanding, the food was excellent and the staff was very attentive
Very enjoyable. Atmosphere perfect, setting perfect
The food was great. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
This restaurant has always provided consistently good food. The view of the river front is unbeatable! Outside dining is great in the spring and early summer.
Food was not good. Our waiter was awesome and helped make our experience not so bad. The person making waffles burnt the first one. The other person making omelets was very slow and did not know what he was doing. The grits were runnyand the bacon was very hard. There was not a large variety of food.
Great view of river ! Wonderful food. We told our waiter that we had theater tickets and one of the bridges was under repair . He kept a eye on time and gave us drive advise
Going to play
I had the tomato bisque soup which was outstanding! For dinner I had the vegetable lasagna which was delicious. The restaurant is a little outdated- needs a renovation. Awesome view on the water across from downtown Jacksonville!
Went for my wifes birthday with eight family members. Everyone said their food was excellent. Restaurant was quiet in mid afternoon. We could visit and actually hear each other.
Wife had salmon with asparagus. Asparagus was a little hard, not being fully cooked. (That was the only criticism) Overall, very enjoyable.
We were visiting our friends (another couple) in Jacksonville and decided to try this place due to the fact that it was on the water. The bread and butter were delicious as well as our crab dip appetizer. However, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which I did not enjoy at all. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits which he was not thrilled about either. I was not drinking because I was pregnant, but the men were impressed with their beers and their reasonable price. So overall, I would recommend this place for the great view and the yummy/reasonably priced beer.
Delicious as usual..........................................................yummy
Our group had fun and our server was quite good. The food was OK, but not remarkable.
There are 2 areas for dining. One more elegant area with great big windows overlooking the river. Quiet and reserved. Tablecloths, excellent service, nice wine list and good food. Reservations recommended. The other side was more a pub, more of what is expected when hearing Brew Company. Sports pub style, high tops available, large bar and vibrant. So there is something here for everybody.
We hadn't been to RCBC in several years and were pleasantly surprised. The view is wonderful at night as the downtown lights up. Our food was delicious and the beer was fresh as well. Our server was polite but as the restaurant began to fill up, we saw him less and less. He never offered dessert or asked if we wanted drink refills after our food was served. Still, a pleasant evening.
We had a group of 5 ladies for lunch. All the entrees were very good. Nice selection of choices. Waiter was excellent, professional, attentive, and responsive to requests. Wonderful waterfront view. Highly recommend.
This experience was horrible!! I reserved a table a month ago, told 3 times what number my table was according to my request that was made when I reserved it. We got there and our table was given away to other people, it took our server 15 minutes to even bring us drinks, I asked for the manager in regards to our seating and was told "They don't guarantee requests or tables" if that's the case why is the request box there and why was I told 3 different times by 3 different people exactly what table I had reserved. He said "They misinformed me" I asked for the GM, they never came, and the server never returned!! We just left. This experience ruined my wife's birthday!! I will never return.
Was disappointed in the lack of variety of food. The beef was so tough it was not edible, the smoked salmon lacked flavor and the desserts were a waste of calories.
Will not be returning for the brunch!
The restaurant has a beautiful setting over looking the river. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. Excellent waiters and waitresses that were very attentive. The food came out quickly and was very good. My wife and i both liked the bacon jam that was part of our meals and i loved the greens on my shrinp and grits. Sitting next to the indoor koi pond was a plus for my wife as well
Went to River City on Sunday afternoon b4 symphony.
Very disappointing. Could not order off menu as only Brunch buffet offered (& it was not good at all).
Will not return for Brunch, ever!
Have been many times for the Sunday Brunch and was always really good. The food was terrible this time. We understood the meal was going to include prime rib not a beef roast. Also where are they crab legs, boiled shrimp and complimentary mimosa (at least 1). This will be my LAST time I go back. We have a table of 8 and our bill was about $200 with a $50 tip. Some of the food was just terrible, under cooked and the roast was almost solid fat and sliced by someone who had no clue what she was doing. I was served a odd hunk of meat that was 90% fat and I said to her...can you please give me some meat and not fat? Her response was well some people like to eat the fat. When I am paying the amount I spent per plate of food for a birthday for my daughter I expect a decent piece of meat since everything else was basically breakfast I can fix at home. I will say the salmon was good but it was gone almost immediately and hard to get much. The staff needs to be re-trained...I would also look at the chef and for sure if you don't go back to your basics...your business will suffer.
First time. Food was pretty decent (not outstanding). Nice venue. Good drinks and attentive service. Would be nice on River patio, weather-permitting.
We've eaten here several times and always enjoy the food, atmosphere and attentive staff.
