River City Brewing Company Ratings and Reviews
This was one of my favorite restaurants in Jacksonville, FL because of the food. It was delicious every time! This time was no different! I had 15 people in my party, celebrating my graduation and our waitress, Michelle, was AMAZING! I don't know how she was able to be so perfect throughout the entire dinner! She remembered every order, never forgot anything, our drinks were full at all times, and she told me congratulations afterwards. I will always recommend RCB to anyone for any occasion, especially large parties!! Way to go service!!!!!
I took my granddaughter here for Sunday brunch. It was an outstanding experience for both of us. She enjoyed all of the breakfast goodies that were on hand. Freshly-made mini waffles grits and bacon were her favorite. I went for the carved roast beef potatoes and roasted vegetables. The ambience is wonderful and the view is special. My girl and I are headed to an afternoon event at 2 and this was the perfect way to start our day. Will be back again and again.
We were very disappointed. The host wanted to seat us at a table for 6; there were only 4 of us. The place was deserted at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night, so we asked to be seated at the window where there were plenty of tables for 4. The server didn't appear for a while, but service was adequate. My soup was cold; I sent it back. My jambalaya was very disappointing; mostly rice and obviously reheated.
It's been long time since we dined at River City Brewing Company and I was really looking forward to it. Now, I don't think I will return. It was kind of sad. I don't know if the place is going to make it.
This has been a favorite place of ours for years.
Menu is now is minimal, service was so rushed, never asked about drink refills, and we were there early so not too busy. Paper table cloths, at a high end restaurant - terrible.
Value for food was not good.
Doubt we will ever be back & that is so sad the location & view is great.
This is a Five Star Restaurant that serves an excellent brunch!
The Chefs make sure each entrée is made to perfection. Whether it the Beef Roast or Scarmbled Eggs and Cheese. Each item is cooked to perfection.
The service is wonderful and the servers meet each clients needs.
River City Brewing Company has an interesting amosphere and wonferful views of the Staint Johns River. It is superb place for Sunday Brunch.
Menu was very small and nothing special. Ordered the ribeye and the steak was almost ALL fat! Ordered the catch of the day, but it was very fishy. The vegetables were even overdone. Ambiance was nice, the view of the river was great. However because of the lackluster food and mediocre drinks we will not be returning. Pretty sad considering it's location!
After reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure about trying RCBC but after eating there, I am very happy I did. Came in after the Jags training camp. Wanted to see the fireworks on the river. First our waiter Kevin was amazing! He was friendly and patient(going over all of the specials not once but twice!). We all went with the fish special which was a corvina. It was AMAZING!! We added on a half of a salad and the half was huge. My husband also ordered the greens and when they brought them out they recommended the bacon jam on top of them so we tried that. What a wonderful recommendation. The bacon jam was delicious and added to everything else! We finished with the bread pudding...another win! I would definitely recommend River City. We will definitely be returning!
Six of us met for a pre-concert dinner. Service was great, atmosphere was relaxed and, most omportantly, food was superb. Situated on the south side of St Johns river this restaurant has great views of the Jacksonville skyline and is only a few minutes drive from the stadium, arena and new amphitheater, making it a great choice for pre-event dining.
About 8 of us went to see the Cat McWilliams band. While we were at first concerned that we could not reserve a table outside or in the bar (where the live music was) the rainy , dreary weather worked in our favor. We got tables right up front and had a great time.
We are visiting from Maryland and selected this restaurant on a whim. Food was excellent-steak and fried shrimp . Had to push back reservation and they were very accommodating. We dined outside and it was very nice. The only issue was our waiter was a little slow. Took awhile to take our drink order and then forgot to bring our bread for our crab fondue appetizer. We had to remind him and didn't get It until after we had gotten our meals. We waited for the check and boxes for a long time as well. Overall though it was a nice place with a nice atmosphere. Right on the water and within walking distance from the friendship fountain.
I loved this restaurant and certainly the ZIP Code by which it is located. My girlfriend is a vegan and we ordered a specific meal with several options off the menu which seems pretty simple to me as we relayed this to our server Kevin. We asked for the seared salmon a in a bed of vegetables to include Green beans, mushrooms, kale and chickpeas surrounded by a beat purée. What my girlfriend received was the salmon on top of green beans and chickpeas. We were specific in relaying the message to the chef in doing something creative off the menu. That being said we made the request to get the The rest of the missing ingredients and all we received was the braised kale. Upon receipt of the bill I see they charged everything out separate which was equally alarming considering we made it simple to navigate through this entrée allowing the chef to use their creative skills to establish a meal for her. Clearly not the case here and a complete disappointment to me as I used to bring my staff there for their Christmas meals. That being said I certainly wish everybody the best as they engage in some sort of culinary experience with River city brewing company but surely we will not be back.
I did fill out the survey at the restaurant but not sure it ever got to the manager but wanted to relay my experience to people that choose this restaurant as an option with all of the opportunities for great dining in the Jacksonville area. This one is surely no longer on my list
My husband's meal was served 25 minutes before mine was. It was a good thing I had a side salad while he ate. Vegetable Lasagna that I ordered didn't resemble any of that dish that I have ever eaten although it was tasty. The sun was in my eyes most of the meal and the blinds don't go all the way down. Very uncomfortable.
