Rivea - Delano Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
We very much enjoyed our dinner at Rivea. The restaurant has beautiful decor and amazing views over the Strip with its location set at the top of the Delano hotel. The food was very good, with the appetizers especially unique and delicious and the risotto course and steak course perfectly prepared -- the only food that didn't wow was the fish course of our tasting menu, which was on the bland side, but everything else was top notch. On a next visit I would skip the tasting menu and order lots of the appetizers, which are relatively cheap and offer enough diversity that you could probably make an entire tapas-style meal out of them, as well as the pastas.
But even better than all that was the service, which was exceptionally warm, accommodating, and welcoming: the hostess made a special effort to get us seats on the balcony (which was probably easier to accommodate when we dined on a Sunday evening than it would be on Friday or Saturday), and all of the waiters were friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend dining at Rivea.
Rivea delivered in service, quality of food, and the deliciousness of the food had us all beyond satisfied. The duck was cooked to perfection, as was the bison, as they were indeed medium rare! After enjoying a bottle, from their extensive selection, we settled on the Tiramisu with its creamy texture and delightful taste. The service was impeccable! Highly recommend, so much so, that we canceled reservations at another establishment to return to Rivera the next day.
Chris our waiter made great menu suggestions and we ended up with a fabulous dinner experience. The food 'ca va sans dire' was outstanding. Real chef expertise. Speaking to the manager en francais was a bonus. Great evening in Las Vegas, away from the noise.
Everything was top notch at Rivea. I had the rib eye and it was prepared perfectly and was an excellent cut of meat. Also had the corn and it was excellent as well. Great views and great service. Found no issues with Rivea. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
My husband and I are Las Vegas locals and we were staying at Mandalay Bay for a 2-day staycation. We happened upon the Rivea when visiting the SkyFall lounge. Rivea is located on the 64th floor of the Delano and it has a fabulous view.
We enjoyed a pasta dish, halibut and bottle of wine. The food was fresh and yummy while the server was excellent. He was friendly, caring and really took pride in his job. After finding out we live in Las Vegas, he brought us a complimentary tiramisu and thanked us for visiting.
Rivea is a beautiful spot for a date or calm dining experience. Everyone is friendly. We highly recommend it!
My friend and I really enjoyed this restaurant. It has a great setting with beautiful views overlooking the strip on one side and mountains on the other. The food was delicious, especially the lobster! The waitstaff was very attentive but not hovering. They do not have prices on their online menu, but don't let that scare you. They were very reasonable compared to other upscale restaurants in Las Vegas. My friend is gluten free and they had lots of options for her to choose from. On tip - they put bread with a sauce on the table and didn't explain to us what it was. We tasted it by chance and it's a delicious, creamy olive tapenade. Don't miss out if you like olives!
Would have given 5 stars all the way across until server asked for Id when informed them that I wanted to sign to my room. I travel many places and had never experienced this!! The person next to us according to my husband signed to her room was not asked🙄
Each year we end our Las Vegas vacation at this restaurant. The restaurant always lives up to its great reputation. We always start with the bread which is great. For appetizers we had the citrus watermelon chilled sop and short rib and pasta. Next for our main course we had the filet and New York sirloin strip steaks - both cooked well done but were still so tender and delicious. Ended the evening with the fantastic chocolate souffle. Also recommend the lemon drop martini.
The best mashed potatoes ever on the planet - you have to taste them!
Service is amazing and the staff is great, very easy to talk to.
Loved the experience and number one on my top list of restaurants to visit again next time in Las Vegas.
You will not regret it!
The resteraunt was amazing! Everything from the hostess to the waitstaff to the views to the food. The atmosphere was lowkey and quaint and the meal and wine was delicious.
Upon making a reservation we also made a reservation for the rooftop bar with view which is attached to the resteraunt. Upon being escorted and seated by the lovely hostess, we were approached rudely by a waitress asking if we had a reservation (despite the fact that we were just escorted to our seat.....AND that the whole place was dead). We asked if we could take a picture outside but she rudely said no because of inclement weather (it was 90degrees and beautiful- no sign of any hazardous weather). The third strike was when a person in the party could not find there ID (although we were clearly all over 25 years of age). Instead of politely mentioning that you cant be in the lounge without proper ID her quick response was "Well! You cant be in here!" As she huffed and puffed. The funny part is there were children hanging out in the lounge. We had also just spent upwards of $400 on a meal and bottle of wine (without being ID'd) which was acceptable...but when we were going to the lounge to buy a second bottle we got treated so poorly within the first 5 minutes - we got up and left.
Its a shame, but I'd probably never go back. The attitude from the staff in the bar was embarrassing. Embarrassing enough to want to pick up and leave..
Rivea it's by far the worst experience I ever had dining in Las Vegas. Service was horrible with the exception of the hostess, on a night that by the words of the server was a slow Sunday, the service was what you would expect in a beginners restaurant, poorly organised and clumsy, food was average with no depth on flavors and a bad execution of the temperature of the meats. I was celebrating a birthday and I truly regret that this was the place that I choose for the night. At the end of the evening I couldn't even request to buy a dessert to celebrate because everything took sooo long and we needed to leave for a show. Rivea is truly a disaster of restaurant, don't get caught by reviews of Las Vegas best strip view it's not worth it.
We have dined here 3 times before when it was called The Mixx and absolutely loved it! This time the menu was very limited although the entrees we chose were good, we will not come back. Not exactly sure why, but it has lost some of its ambience and pizazz.
Took a special client here and remember what is used to be. They have changed the decor and it looks like a contemporary non eventful restaurant. We started with apps and tapas- the burata and tomatoes were great, skip the lobster risotto it was not great and was gummy. They cleared our plates and asked us if we wanted the bill and realized they had goofed. The main entrees were great and then desert a soufflé which we ordered never arrived and they served us a "left over" desert for FREE! Really, the bill for 3 was $640 and a waste! Sorry to say but skip this. It's not great any more...
We were a party of three, local residents living in the Summerlin area. We choose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday.
What a fabulous experience. We were greeted at the door and made very welcome into the restaurant.
The manager, Tracy Warbung was so gracious and we were made to feel like very special VIP's.
The food was excellent and so was the service. Very attentive to our needs.
The lobster dish was beyond words how good is was. The fries made of pea shoot floor melted in your mouth.
the views are 360 Vegas, a very special treat and so is this restaurant and staff. Will definitely be going back. Thank you all for a very special meal.
