Small plates were amazing.
This is an excellent restaurant with a stunning view, along with a lounge outside that one can hang out in either before or after the meal. Staff is excellent, food is really good, and enjoyed it immensely. The only complaint I have is that their prices are too high even vis-a-vis other similar experiences on the Strip. I expect pricey in this case, but I don't expect it to equal a monthly car payment either!
So glad I heard about this restaurant. Great View, Service and Food. Having a chocolate soufflé for desert was the best.
When we arzrived the waiter informed us of the valentines which consisted of a four course meal. The seating choices picked out for us were excellent. Food was great
Great people serving us. Never had to ask for a refill, always on the spot.
Great service but really expensive.
It was great, service was a little slow but overall great.
Great romantic place to have dinner. Service was great, food it very good, everyone enjoyed. Only issue I had was the lobster was a bit to chewy, outside of the everyone raved about their steaks
Really nice, sky-high setting. Nice, small portioned mains with small starters and limited sides for sharing (broccolini, asparagus or mashed potatoes - a few more vegetable options would have been great). Sampled several mains over several visits and they were all great, and the sharing dish of mashed potatoes was really amazing. Really great wine list, and superb service. Jessica at the front greets you with the biggest smile you won't soon forget!
One of the true Vegas gems. The food is approachable yet elegant. The view is amazing- but unlike most rooftop restaurants, the service and inside isn’t an afterthought. It’s not cheap, but very worth the price.
Love the views!
We really loved it. Smaller french sized portions of interesting and very yummy dishes. Outstanding view from 64 stories up.
Fantastic food and service - Alain Ducasse excels and knows not only how to deliver amazing food but great ambience and service to go with it. I had the lamb chops, melted in my mouth and was perfectly done. Just a top notch experience overall. Worth the splurge.
The ambiance and location are the best part. The service was good, but the food was incredibly overpriced and lacking in flavor, especially for what you spend.
Hostess , Jessica, went above and beyond to make our experience special by arranging for a window seat
Everything was amazing, from the service to the view.
The server brought me the wrong meal twice, the 3rd time the meal was finally correct but at that time my wifes meal was cold and we were 20 minutes late to out concert downstairs. The manager was rude and made it seem like it was my fault that they brought the wrong meal twice. We never complained and were nice about the mistake, 2 mistakes. When the bill came we thought something would have been discounted for their mistakes but no. Customer service just isn’t the same anymore. I am sure we could have made a stink and got a discount but we are not those people.
The food was wonderful. We had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. Service was excellent and the ambience was calm and romantic. Be sure to have a drink in the Skyfall Lounge before eating for the best view of the Vegas strip.
Really great food. The bar, Skyfall, is terrific. Good bartenders and spectacular view! Expensive, but go there every time I'm in Vegas and love it each time! Executive chef has Michelin stars in France (went to his 3-star restaurant in the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo, which is what made me try Rivea the first time. Have never been less than completely happy with the experience at Rivea.
We made the reservations to celebrate the end of our trip and the wife's birthday. Since we stayed at Delano it was easy to get to.
Once the elevator opened all you could see was a dark wall with holes in it. The receptionist was very friendly! She confirmed it was the wife's birthday. The server came and gave us the same spiel as he gave the table next to us. He wasn't that friendly. He also confirmed wife's birthday. Ordered filet mignons, asparagus and mashed potatoes. He asked don't you want an appetizer? Like we were stupid for not having one..
Meal came out and this nice guy served us.
Cut into the steaks and they were tender, not medium rare.. More on the rare side but that's ok. Tried a piece of steak.. No flavor. Poured the peppercorn on the steak. Hmm still no flavor. So was going to cut the chili that came with it. It was charred but they left the skin on it. Grr.. So the chili gave a little flavor.
Tried the mashed potatoes.. They were gummy and not really any flavor. For 12$ you'd think they would be real with lumps or chives or butter.
All done with dinner server asked if we wanted dessert. I thought to myself why didn't you offer to bring one for her birthday.. Instead he brought two little cookies that were about as dry as eating cardboard with chocolate in between lol.
Anyways the views were awesome, but not worth the 200$.
It’s nice atmosphere and the view was great. The food is good, but it’s overpriced.
Awesome views, awesome food, awesome service, very, very pricey even taking into consideration all of the above. But we had just gotten married across the street at the Little Chapel of the West and were staying at The Delano so it was worth it.
Beautiful setting with great views of Las Vegas. Delightful surprises with the small plate sea bass and eggplant offerings. Pasta entree was inspired with a red wine reduction sauce soaked up with bread to the last drop. Terrific!
Wonderful experience! Amazing waiter who was a pleasure to speak with. Attentive but not obtrusive. Amazing views! All
Food was amazing! Particularly loved the burrata and tomato salad, sea bass and lobster risotto. Next time I’m in Vegas, we will definitely eat here!
Our sever Bianca was amazing! Very helpful in suggesting items from the menu as well as making sure we enjoyed our food and experience. The sommelier was not as helpful as he was only interested in selling expensive wine. We were there for a conference for work and on a budget and couldn’t spend over $100 per bottle. We ended up using Bianca as she was more understanding. Our service, food and views were amazing. Just wished the sommelier was a little more understanding that some customer do have a budget.
Todo fue muy bueno y excelente :)
Amazing view, good food, perfect service... I’ll be back in the future...
Everything was awesome. The food was incredible and service was awesome. Christopher is a great server, and we will ask for him again. The duck was our favorite. We are locals and this is an awesome date night place.
I chose Rivea as the place for my birthday dinner. We are visiting from out of town and have never been. I made reservations for 8:45 on a Tuesday night and requested a table against the window. We showed up a bit early (8:25 ish) fully expecting to wait in the bar. We were immediately told by the host....”it’s going to be at least 30 more minutes until a table is ready”...But that was it. No encouragement to go have a drink at the bar, did not offer a glass of water while we wait. I asked if we could wait in the bar and he said “sure, go ahead”. It was an unpleasant start to what I wanted to be a special night.
The next 45 minute wait for our table was made better by the great service at the bar. The bartender Christopher was so charismatic, funny, and good at his job. I could tell that he liked his job. We had a smile on our faces the whole time we were in the bar because of him and the great view of the strip. Christopher also went out of his way to acknowledge my birthday (the only person to do so the entire stay at Rivea).
We had to keep checking back with the host as we were unsure if we would be tracked down for our table. It was a very unclear process. We were seated way later than when I made the reservation for. I understand that we requested a table by the window and therefore it would make things more difficult...I am well aware of that. However, we were made to feel like an inconvenience and I would have appreciated better communication with the host...
The food was alright. Everything was kind of meh and it was under salted. Lobster risotto only had 2 small bite size pieces of lobster. The sea bass and John Dory just kind of seemed like a fish and vegetables thrown together with no intention. Our server for dinner was great, but we felt rushed and we felt like the staff was hovering us by clearing our plates without us being finished.
Overall, we feel good about the experience only because Christopher was above and beyond.
Had a great time, but wish we knew the other side had a better view of the strip. They should had offered if space was available.
The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was delicious and we appreciated that the portions were not the typical huge Las Vegas style, so that we could enjoy several courses without feeling overly full. Our waiter was very attentive and served us at the slower pace that we requested. Overall an excellent meal. We will certainly return next time we are in Las Vegas.
Where to start!
Staff was all so kind and welcoming. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and how everything was prepared.
Views were phenomenal and food was fantastic! Great night spent and will definitely come back!
Mark, our server, made our experience at Rivea absolutely amazing. The scenery and ambiance was top notch. As a local, I recommend this restaurant
Was just fine - I was underwhelmed given the name on the restaurant and the location. Menu was very flat. Food tasted good, but I expected to be blown away.
We got the octopus, crudo and dungeoness crab appetizer, lobster risotto (should be called risotto with lobster essence) and the halibut.
Frankly the presentation was uninspired and the taste/combinations were OK. I just expected more. Others complain about portions- we were fine with that. But again, a lackluster experience culinary wise. Felt like the chef phoned it in...
We had a business dinner for my team while attending a conference at the Mandalay Bay resort. I read the reviews of the food and views and have to agree that both were amazing! First, the view. The restaurant is not the 62nd floor of the Delano Hotel. Make reservations if going on a weekend and request to sit on the balcony. There's a glass balcony wall that's a little lower than shoulder height and you get breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip and city. At night, it's incredibly beautiful. Food was also amazing. Our group ordered the duck breast, filet mignon, and sea bass. All were perfectly cooked. Our waiter also recommended a side dish of mushroom risotto which was so buttery and heavenly. Food is on the pricier side at about $50-60 per entree plate and the other plates were small (i.e. appetizers). For a romantic night out, I'd highly recommend this restaurant.
First visit for our wedding anniversary. We ate outside on the patio overlooking the strip. The view was amazing, the service was awesome and the food was outstanding! The restaurant was beautiful from start to finish!
Underwhelming service and food.
Very small portions. Not worth the price.
This was an amazing journey to greatest mix and match flavor and taste explosion! This place is amazing and the team is great. Fantastic place! The food is just an apart chapter! Everything here was perfect!
