Rita's Kitchen at Camelback Inn, A J.W. Marriott Resort
Always a pleasure
The wait was long and my meal, shrimp tacos, was horrible. Not good worthy of the price.
Amazing patio from sunset. Live music on the patio was great. The tamale was to die for!
Early reservation (5pm). We were sat in the corner under an awning, asked to be moved to outside or closer to music. We were told all tables were busy (they were all literally empty). Another table sat right next to us (kinda on top of us), they asked the same thing and were given same response. By the time we left 2 hours later, most of the other table still open. Just odd.
Service was not great- it took almost 30 minutes to get drinks both times we ordered. My kids were hungry after they ate so I ordered another kids meal and it took 40 minutes (hot dog), so we paid then waited for it to be done to put it in a box. Food is still good, beautiful location, but service has gone down.
We had a great dinner, we ate outside by choice and it was chilly but they had heaters. I removed a star only because the steak I ordered was well done and it was supposed to be medium. They offered a glass of wine or to see if they could remake it but I opted to just eat it. Service was excellent and the food was great. The queso was amazing!
Dined on the outdoor patio - beautiful view, great service and delicious food. Looking forward to my next visit.
Cant beat brunch at Ritas. Food isnt always hot but good nonetheless. Minosas are our favorite. Get your moneys worth at 89 per.
Service was amazing and drinks were so good and chips and salsa and queso and guacamole were outstanding! If warmer you can sit outside but inside was also very nice!
Birthday made extra-special by wonderful service!
The food was outstanding. There was a huge variety. It was not the same old choices. The outdoor setting is breathless with a view of the mountain. There are flowers, water and nice guitar music. The service is friendly and attentive. Mimosas or champagne was plentiful. Everything was top notch.
The food and overall experience was great. Would have maybe be asked if I want 1 more drink cause we probably would have ordered another round but otherwise is was a great dinner
Lovely backdrop of Camelback Mountain and lots of flowers
Sea bass was overcooked and not a good dish overall. Margaritas are outstanding!
Great spot to eat outdoors this time of year. Nightly live music. But the guy tonight was out of tune. Been to Rita’s many many times. The music the night I was there was just not very good. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit after dinner too
We are the laundry list of food allergy families & they went above & beyond to make sure everything was allergy safe for our kiddos! Hats off to the Chef!
Also good and this time brought a guest who was also very impressed with the live music
Fabulous ambience. Nice entertainment. Food was uneventful.
Very slow service & food wasn’t as good as in the past
Celebrating a 40th birthday. We had fantastic service and food. The outdoor seating was perfect and light music.
I love the ambiance, the food, and staff! Top notch for sure! But I think the price of $89 for the champagne brunch to be over the top! No one can eat enough for brunch to justify that kind of price. We will be back but probably won’t partake in the Sunday Brunch.
Always enjoy the ambiance, food & service.
ALWAYS HAPPY HERE AT RITAS STAFF WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a new menu with fewer choices. I wish the food had been better than average because I enjoy the location and ambiance. The chopped salad was bland, uninspired. Perhaps they could replicate the amazing chopped salad that had been a signature dish at Cowboy Ciao's.
The menu was horrible! They have a new chef and he has miss the mark on his menu choices! Very disappointed ☹️
Nothing memorable about the food. Service was good. Nice view to pool.
Go for brunch! They have an extensive buffet with delicious everything. My favorite was the hash browns. Also salmon and tons of fresh fruit and really good variety of baked goods. You can get eggs, pancakes and waffles made to order. I went with 3 kids and we all loved it. Stands out from other buffets.
Nice place, ambiance and great food with a South western flair.
Family in town
The atmosphere was awesome. Our server was amazing and the whole place was just one great experience. We will definitely be going back more now just because the environment was so great and the food and drink were even better.
The food at the atmosphere are amazing. The service today was not as good as usual.
Great food and nice atmosphere. We had the scallops and shrimp enchiladas. Also the guacamole and salsa. Everything was very tasty. Had the weather been better, the outside space looked fun.
Food was good but not great. Service was decent. Extremely overpriced.
Two brunch Buffett meals (without beverages) came a total of 198 dollars plus tip. Was no where worth it; Nor was the price made clear of what the Buffett cost. The breakfast buffet was notated at 35 a person. The brunch buffet was not clearly advertised. We could have asked but didn’t ever expect it to be more than 2.5 times the price. We knew it was going to be expensive but not 90 dollars a person expensive. Food wasn’t with the price. It was also extremely loud.
I wouldn’t plan to go back. Would not recommend it. This is one of those places that is specifically geared towards the “I’m important and money doesn’t matter to me”.
Excellent food, live music, vibe!
Food was very good, exceeded expectation. Dining area is too noisy due to hard wood floors and no sound dampening. If sound dampeners were installed in the ceiling cove in the middle of the dining area and a few rugs placed in the middle area, then the experience would be much improved.
Love the food. It’s nice to go when it’s a warmer night to sit outside, but we like it just the same.
This review is specifically for Rita's Sunday Brunch. Their brunch is, quite simply, awesome! Sunday diners can choose from a fantastic variety of food to eat from prime rib to fresh made chicken or steak tacos, to custom made omlets, to sushi. They also serve bottomless mimosas and offer incredible outdoor dining views of Scottsdale mountains. Run, don't walk, to Rita's for Sunday brunch!
We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary here & it was truly special from beginning to end! There was a bountiful variety of food that was unique, plentiful & very well prepared. The service was exceptional especially by our waitress Dora. The weather & hotel’s Christmas decorations were spectacular. Thanks to all for a memorable brunch.
Since new management has come in, they’ve made a lot of changes throughout the restaurants and the spa, and not for the better. Prices have gone up, they’ve removed items from the happy hour menu, and it’s not that special place anymore.
