Ristorante Primavera Of Wayne is a restaurant that is known for offering authentic Italian cuisine and a separate menu that offers three course meal combos. Appetizers include a variety of Italian classics such as mussels prepared with marinara sauce, fried provolone with the house sauce and roasted peppers to name a few. Soups are prepared fresh each day and so are the classic Italian pasta dishes such as tortellini, fettucine and penne to name a few.
Ristorante Primavera Of Wayne also offers traditional wood fried pizzas such as the classic Margherita, Pollo, Piccante and Calzone. The entrées are either sautéed or grilled and come with the chef's choice of fresh vegetables. The popular item on Ristorante Primavera Of Wayne's menu is the Ossu Buco which is a veal shank on a bed of linguine that is served with tomato sauce and vegetables. This restaurant has closed down.
Always a wonderful meal, great service and a lively experience overall
We came to celebrate a birthday, and were a table of 6. Everyone was pleasant, but the food was less than memorable. The grilled chicken was dry, another chicken dish was grissly, and no one at the table wants to return. While the service was generally attentive, we felt rushed to leave (they wanted to take our plates while we clearly weren't done) although the vast majority of tables was empty. We won't be returning.
THIS PLACE HAS BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS. I WANTED TRY IT AGAIN. THERE ARE SEVERAL ITALIAN EATING PLACES IN OUR AREA. GREAT ATMOSHERE AND THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AVERAGE.
Best Gem on the mainline . we continue to come back just not for the great food but also for the great wait staff
We made our reservations at the last minute after the Villanova graduation ceremony. I had no problem getting a table. Food was hot and quick to be served. We will go here again.
It had been a while since we dined at Primavera Wayne. Had a fantastic experience on Mothers-day. Food was terrific and ambiance was wonderful. Excellent service. We'll be back!
This was one of the best Italian meals I have ever had (including in Italy). The food was excellent, the décor was lovely, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. My only regret is that I was visiting from out of town and cannot eat there regularly.
The food was excellent, but we thought rather pricey. Bob had a veal dish which was excellent and I had seafood which was also excellent. Our server was attentive and helpful.
We have lived on the Main Line for 40 years and I think Primavera has been there that long. It has always been enviting, warm and friendly. The food is consistingly good and they make a great Puttanesca. A great local resturant where you see famous people.
we love the entire staff and Elaine!! Everyone is courteous and friendly - always welcoming!
Have been here multiple times in the past 20+ years. The food is consistently good. The service is fine so long as your not in a hurry. If you are, grab your waitress tell her precisely what you want. If he/she is waiting in the kitchen to bring out a meal, you won't find them. Ask one of the waitstaff to find them. It's friendly, sometimes chaotic, but again, the food is good and you won't spend an arm and a leg. We like it for occasions.
This is a nice little place for Italian - nothing too fancy but consistently good - especially pizza. Has a formal dining area and a bar dining area that is nice and comfortable - perfect spot after a long work day for a quick dinner. Family owned and very nice staff. Worth the visit!
Took my wife for Valentine's Day dinner and we both raved over our meals. She had the salmon and I had the veal chop. Very friendly staff. We also tried a couple of the desserts. We will be going back soon.
We ate in the bar area, which had a nice, cozy flavor. However, our server didn't mention any of the specials and it was a little hard to get her attention. Nice place to go after the movies.
The waitress was condescending and hovered over us, calling us "girls." There was no osso bucco on the menu, the reason we had chosen this place over other Italian Restaurants in Wayne. The place was dead and the food was overpriced. Go to Christopher's or Teresa's.
Looking to take the family out to dinner I saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try (it has been years since I was last here). Sadly it was disaster. The waitress was the worst I have ever had - crabby, inattentive and even getting the order wrong. We all vowed never again.
My one complaint is that their outdoor sign needs more lighting on it so first time people can more easily find it. Other than that it was a great dinner on Christmas Eve. Wife and I are early diners so we followed the first couple into the restaurant. Must get a lot of groups here because by the time we left, 6 of the 10 tables occupied were groups of 5 or more! The service was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was terrific; wife had bass stuffed with crabmeat and I had the Lobster Ravioli. A salad was huge; easily enough for 3 people. A very pleasant meal; it seemed like everyone (except us: the first timers) knew the staff and was returning for another visit. Can't wait for us to return again.
The food and service at Ristorante Primavera are always consistent and excellent. My husband and I both had the Bronzino on this visit, which was incredibly fresh as well as plentiful. The delicious limoncello cake provided the perfect ending to the meal! And our server was excellent.
Service was excellent! Food was excellent. Building needs some updating inside but overall was a very nice enjoyable evening with delicious food.
Good solid food, delicious generous salad, and friendly, attentive service. The owner/host was warm and friendly as well.
The restaurant was nice enough to accommodate us, a large party-9 people, around 4:30 (which is prior to their usual dinner hours). We were at a family function which ended early and there was a large gap between that and dinner. When we arrived, the owner seated us and served us because we were earlier than the serving staff! He was great, so was the wait staff once they arrived. The food was delicious!! Very tasty, great presentation as well! Would definitely eat here again!
The homemade fettuccine was delicious! A must have! Very friendly service all around. Will be back!
Delicious food with a memorable experience. Recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves to eat Italian food.
This was the 2nd time recently that we dined at this restaurant with friends and we were not disappointed. The food, service and prices were very good. Great find close to home.
They treated us very well...party of 15. And the melon and prosciutto and the chicken paillard were very good...I didn't try the pizza or pasta, but the eggplant was marginal. I guess I expected more authentic Italian fare. My guests enjoyed the pizza, but left some, so they didn't LOVE it. To me, a great 5 star food Italian place must have excellent pizza...that's why I gave the food 3 stars! Service was awesome!! I would go back.
We found Primavera when looking for a spot for a group of 10, and they had an opening found through Open Table. The food was great, but the service, although kind and helpful, was slow. We did have a nice time, however, and were enjoying each other's company. Good thing no one was in a huge hurry!
We have driven by this restaurant for several years, and only now did we make reservations. It is a lovely Italian restaurant with starched white tablecloths. The service is most attentive. The menu has a wide selection of Northern Italian appetizers and entrees, as might be expected. Our selections were well-prepared. All in all, Primavera provided a delightful dining experience.
Food was very good. I had branzino and my spouse had linguini and clam sauce. The restaurant wasn't completely crowded but there was a large party, and they were understaffed. We waited too long for our entrees to arrive. Our server was very nice but had too many tables to manage. The ambiance was OK. Would go back but wouldn't be a top priority.
Primavera is a fixture in Wayne, a Main Line town where many restaurants only survive a few years. We have always been highly satisfied. Reliability is a defining word. It's just been a nice place to dine.
There were six in our group the other evening and we were warmly greeted. We ordered and salads and appetizers were served, among them a huge plate of the most unappetizing looking calamari I've ever seen. An immediate turnoff! But my guest refused to complain! Gone was the waiter who welcomed us and others brought the entrees - all different. Very good. And then no one came to the table! Finally I hailed a waitress leaning on the bar . "We have concert tickets; can you get us a check? Wait. Wait, wait. We entered Primivera at 6:15 and left at 7:50. No dessert, no coffee. First time we ever missed the opening number!
We live in Wayne and had never been to this restaurant before. Always wanted to try it but never got there until this past weekend. Very good food, service was great and reasonably priced. There were 6 in our group and everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back.
