Great location and good food, but very cramped and loud.
Wonderful atmosphere and impeccable service!
This is a lovely and lively restaurant. The service was very attentive and our waiter gave great recommendations. Food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The tables are a bit tight and we had to fight to have conversation over the strolling violinist. Although we appreciated the idea, I don't thing the venue is conducive for that type of entertainment.
Thank you for accommodating gluten free, dairy free customers with your excellent pasta! Really looking forward to when you get gluten free bread—that would absolutely do it.
Literally my favorite place to come when I visit DC. I found this place over four years ago and I have been coming back every year since. Every time we go the experience and atmosphere is perfect. Tonight we had great service from Nabil. All the servers are incredible but he provided amazing service for our group. I literally make it a habit to book a reservation each year I come to DC and will continue to do so. You won’t regret a dinner here. I promise!
Great food, lovely restaurant and good service.
The food at this small gem was excellent. I had the risotto with butternut squash and ribs. The portions were very generous and the food so flavorful. The restaurant is cozy so you will be sitting close to other patrons, but if you are in Georgetown it is worth the visit.
A little crowded. Overall good.
We celebrate my wife's birthday every year at Piccolo. Why, when there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from in Washington, DC? Simply because the entire experience, from service, to ambiance, to price, and especially to food is excellent. Parking is right next door. We have always left with fond memories of the experience and will continue our tradition as long as we can.
Fabulous meal- just wish there were bigger portions! Service was fabulous.
Excellent food, amazing service!!!
I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The raviolis with the sage sauce were amazing!!! All the plates and the wine that Nabil recommended were incredible!!!
Thank you Nabil, we will definitely go back to Piccolo!
Wonderful Italian restaurant in Georgetown- pasta to die for! Excellent service and great overall dining experience.
Great food and very attentive service in a warm and friendly ambiance.
Enjoyable casual lunch. Would recommend.
Very good, well prepared and creative Italian cuisine. Loved the appetizers of vongole, melanzane bruschetta and meatballs. Fantastic pasta with salmon. Service was top notch and if you can snag one of the outdoor balcony tables, it is a great way to eat looking over the bustle of Georgetown
The food was disappointing. Especially for the price. The waiter by accident spilled significant quantity of red wine over the table...took time for a waiter to come and reset the table.
Took an hour to get our food as they were very busy.
Charming restaurant. Service is exceptional and food is delicious. Great menu.
Pasta was great, wine list was priced a bit high for the quality, but I guess that's to be expected in Georgetown! Great for a special occasion, but probably wouldn't be a regular stop.
This is a GREAT restaurant!!! The food, service and ambiance are first class. Our waiter recommended a couple of items that were delicious. A must go to when in D.C.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal at this very charming restaurant. The food was delicious, the wait staff could not have been more attentive and the ambiance was wonderful. I would definitely go back for another meal.
We had great service and the food was even better than we imagined. The tortellini carbonara was outstanding! Will definitely be back.
Been going here for 28 years. Tonight’s visit unfortunately was not that good. My wife’s filet (ordered well ) came out bleeding. I guess because she had cut into it they had to cook another. By the time it came out I was done w dinner (and I ate excruciatingly slow). So we basically ate in 2 shifts. Overall I woukd give this visit a 3 out of 10. But we will go back as it is not the norm. I felt the wife’s dinner should have been comped. We don’t drink so a glass of wine comped was not the answer.
Always a favorite when I am in DC--outstanding service, food and ambiance. Excellent violinist, and people who really care that you are taken care of at the highest possible level--if you are in DC and looking for a good Italian restaurant, this is it!
We love to go here on our "date night", it is intimate and romantic. The staff is great and the violinist adds a nice touch!
Impeccable service, wonderful menu, perfect cocktails, food as close to real Italian that I've had in DC.
This place is special. A very charming ambience (we ate out on the quaint veranda) with fabulous service. The food was well prepared and presented. Loved it all!
The best pasta dish I have ever had! Excellent cocktails as well.
Fantastic service and the food delicious! Smaller restaurant with warm feeling.
full rave mode and returning for Piccolo's Tagliatelle:
Tagliatelle con Gamberoni in Pergamena
shrimp pan-seared with shallots, garlic, red chili flakes and a touch of cream tossed with hand-rolled tagliatelle pasta, sprinkled and baked with panko in parchment paper
while not on the menu the veal saltimbocca was very good. Fillet mignon and gnocchi ordered at our table was also very good. Service was good, we sat a bit late because prev table was slow to leave.
Its a small place, so you wait essentially outside. Inside is nice, old historic home with bathrooms upstairs. There are also a few tables upstairs off the front balcony. Had tiramisu desert. It was very good.
we'll try again when we revisit DC.
Outstanding food and amazing ambiance! Very romantic.
Everythng was perfect. We have been many times and will
Be going again.
Went to this Georgetown gem recently with my family on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy and we were placed in the table to the left of the front door overlooking the street.
The waitstaff was very attentive top to bottom. We got some great wine and entree recommendations. The servers were attentive and not overly so.
The food was great (had the short rib ravioli) and we had a great experience. Thanks and we will be back!
Little tightly packed. Service was a bit spotty, though the waiters were polite. Just seemed like we kept getting lost in the shuffle.
The service and attention is impeccable - really well done - The pasta is really among the best that we've had in ages. We highly recommend Ristorante Piccolo
Excellent food - sort of noisy and the service was a little slow but the food is excellent. Excellent sauce on the chicken Parm.
Not sure how you can have a conversation inside, it was way too noisy and it's not a place to go if you suffer from migraines. The tables are on top of each other and with it being loud, it's not a good place to go if you want to have a nice conversation or a romantic date. The food wasn't anything spectacular and our waiter was not friendly or engaging.
Absolutely amazing food and service. I highly recommend any veal dish.
