Ristorante Lombardo Ratings and Reviews
The food is excellent. It doesn't matter your craving, they have something to satisfy it. The wine and cocktail list are expansive. Many different types of delicious and rare wines. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and ambiance. The only negetive part of my experience (and this is not at all a dig against Ristorante Lombardo) is that the refined level of dining attracts some quite rude and arrogant customers. My fiance and I sat next to a man and a woman enjoying a 6 course meal. The woman made comments (to her dining partner, not directly to us but audible enough to hear) on our wine selection, our choice to have a single entree and dessert. I heard her say people who were not willing to spend the money and time on a 6 course meal and rare wine do not deserve to eat at such an establishment. We should apparently be segregated from the more affluent diners. She also spoke somewhat rudely to her server. I don't care what level of society you come from, that is no way to treat wait staff as lovely as those from this restaurant and especially not other patrons.
One of our favorite restaurants. The food is always of the highest quality and the service second to none. We were there this time for my birthday, a card greeted us at the table and all of the staff were attentive and thanked us of choosing Ristorante Lombardo for our celebration. We had the wood roasted figs and scallops as appetizers followed by the Osso Buco and Veal Marsala. All were excellent. The bar is also very good, cocktails very well made.
All in all, the experience just reinforces why we love this restaurant.
Our waitress was very pleasant, knowledgeable and very attentive. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and I can't say enough about the delicious food. We drove for 30 minutes to come to this restaurant and it was very much worth the drive. I would highly recommend .
This place is a true gem, simply outstanding in every way. It's been in the hands of the Lombardo family since it opened over forty years ago, and their love of the restaurant they created and attention to detail is obvious from the moment you enter. When the Rolling Stones played Buffalo a couple years ago, Mick Jagger, having sought out the best Italian restaurant in the city, was directed here. Be aware that it's not your standard red sauce fare. With that caveat, highly recommended.
Business meal with a Customer. The apps were pretty good, two of the entrees were very disappointing, I had the tagliatelle with rabbit and it was all sauce, had a hard time finding any rabbit. Our guest ordered the Bone in Ribeye, medium rare and came rare/seared with tons of strings in it which made it tough to cut and chew. We sent it back and I’m return for the $59 Steak, they offered 1 free dessert for the table and three shots of italian liquor. Will not go back, BTW dinner for 3 was $424.00.
The only complaint I had was the noise. I mean I had a hard time hearing.
We had an amazing service experience which overall trumped the noise. The food was fantastic. Honestly I haven’t had food that good since I lived in Connecticut and what tipped that was the pricing. Phenominal prices for such amazing food and service.
Ristorante Lombardo has been a staple in the Buffalo cuisine arena for years. The service has never been anything besides wonderful. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and the staff is genuinely happy to be there. The food is remarkable and the experience overall is second to none in the City. Would instantly be anyone's favorite after dining there.
