I need to come more often. Sat at the bar and the staff was the best though the food was fantastic too. Special of Pappardelle al Cinghiale. I left feeling like they were friends and family which is the goal of any Italian restaurant.
We were visiting from Seattle on business and sat at bar. We had an amazing dinner! Waiters were friendly and atmosphere was awesome! We will defiantly be back! Highly recommend
Excellent service! One of my favorite restaurant in Denver.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Denver!
A wonderful place. Small friendly.
Food was outstanding as was the service. We would absolutely recommend this gem
guests from out of town
Authentic “Italian” cuisine. Incredible homemade pastas with fresh beautiful sauces. What a treat. Friendly casual atmosphere. Can’t believe it took us so long to discover it. Not one miss on our table. From the prosciutto and burrata to the tricolore salad to the ravioli in shrimp sauce to the saffron shrimp taglierini. Scrumptious. And thank you Leo for your excellent service.
Great food and comfortable restaurant!
Incredible experience. We would recommend it to anyone.
Food is amazing! The Bolognese is nearly identical to one I had while in Bologna, Italy. Well done!
Very, very good Italian cuisine! We were genuinely surprised with everything we ordered!
Unimpressed with our server
Nice local place, friendly service, good Italian basics and a few innovative specials.
Love this place and so happy they survived. Great date night last night!
The Insalata Caprese with buffalo mozzarella was so tasty! The Valpolicella red paired well with Nona Lauren’s ? Tagliatelle Bolognese dish. Our wait person, Jessica, couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. Can’t wait to go back for another relaxing dinner.
This is a precious dining spot in an underserved neighborhood. The food is good, the service is quite well-meaning and attentive and they actually care about the quality and the experience. Wine list is brief but a few bright spots so it is fine. Dined here twice in two days, once solo at the bar and once with a group of friends. Both times were a success. These guys are doing good work and should be celebrated.
Food amazing and our waiter Leo great
I was looking for a restaurant for a three person business dinner and made the reservation based on reviews from Opentable diners. The restaurant did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service professional and pleasant. We will definitely come back.
Great dinner! We are visiting from out of town and had a craving for Italian. Definitely the place to go! Great atmosphere, and delicious wine and drinks! We had the bolognese and fish ravioli, delicious!! Would definitely go back if we lived in the area!
Intimate atmosphere is belied by the ambient noise level made obtrusive by the reflective surfaces on all sides. Thankfully, most of the crowd was reasonably restrained last night.
Perhaps they were short staffed, but our service was quite scattered and didn't live up to the upscale restaurant they are attempting to be. The bread, pasta dish and panna cotta dessert were amazing, but the steak was just ok and our wine was way too young for the price. We were disappointed to say the least.
We love Lo Stella - it's our favorite restaurant in Denver. The food, service, atmosphere --everything about it is fantastic.
Food and service were exquisite! It has been too long since we were last here.
We will return again soon
I’ve been going to Lo Stella since it first opened. I love the food especially the freshly made pasta. Grandma’s sauce is superb and the portions are large. The large salads are fresh. I always order the Tri-color salad with sautéed mushrooms.
The seafood ravioli is a favorite). Everyone loves the great Italian wines. The staff was attentive and helpful. They make customers feel like family. The ambiance is welcoming inside and on the patio and the prices are reasonable. Lo Stella is my go-to restaurant. My friends keep coming back. You’ll love it too.
great food - it was fun to be out again! I think of this place as a nice secret spot.
4th visit to Reatorante Lo Stella and ever time the service was lively, friendly and efficient. The pasta plates and pan fried steak were great. We also love their wine selection
The pasta was delicious....the service not so wonderful. We arrived in what amounted to a war between servers who fought over every table, verbally bickered and threw tantrums that made customers very uncomfortable. Unfortunately we were seated in the center of the drama. Our evening and dining experience was definitely marred by the lack of professionalism. The food was heavenly but I would recommend getting it to-go until they workout the strife.
We love this restaurant. They serve authentic Italian food, which is rare in Denver. So glad to be able to return after the pandemic restrictions got lifted.
Best Italian dishes and outstanding service!
Love love love this place. Closest thing you’ll get to real Italian in Denver.
Great dinner! Octopus app and shrimp pasta were both delightful!
Our experience was truly wonderful, the food is authentic Italian and prepared very well and the service was prompt and friendly. I plan on bringing friends and family to this lovely little oasis in Denver.
Fantastic food and service! This is a place of contention! Lovely neighborhood restaurant with a great atmosphere for competition with the best!
Reservation at 5:30. Only two tables taken. Host tried to seat us at a high top, which won't work for my spouse's short legs. Very uncomfortable for her.
Host fumbled around forever (so it seemed as we stood around) trying to find another table when our server intervened and instantly found us a table. I was just about to leave.
But this server, who found the table, saved the evening. His service was outstanding.
We've eaten at Ristorante Lo Stella numerous times and always found the food to be outstanding. It was again and we'll be back. We'll just make sure to specify a high top is not acceptable.
Highly recommend this little gem.
The food was great--filet and Bolognese were both great. Service was...eh. Not terrible. But not particularly good, either. I think the server forgot about us for the second half of the meal.
Noise level was low because we dined at 4;00... by the time we departed, noise had increased but was still very tolerable. That is the only clarification I needed to make on my rating -- who needs to explain 5 stars???
As most of us in April of 2021 are still wearing masks even tho vaccinated, our party of 4 felt very comfortable in the restaurant and with our server. He also was very attentive to our requests and accommodated everything with ease. Highly recommend this restaurant but you really do need reservations!
It was fine, nothing terribly wrong. The pasta dishes simply weren’t worth the price they are charging for them.
This ended up being the best experience even though this wasn't our 1st choice for dinner. Leo, our waiter ordered for both of us because the menu was a little hard to understand and he couldn't have been any more perfect in his choices for us. If you love authentic Italian then this place is a MUST visit. Ask for Leo to help you too- he made our night!
Excellent menu. Delicious food. Veryefficient friendly service.
Excellant service, the food was delicious. A little pricey.
