Wonderful, attentive service. Solid traditional food. Lots of soul.
Love the food. We were near the bar and the room if relatively 'live' as to sound, but better than many other places as to noise. Service was a little brisk -- things cleared away pretty fast, might have let us linger a bit more. All in all, good place to meet with friends and enjoy good food.
This was one of the worst dinners we have had. I was so disappointed, as I had read the reviews on the site highlighting that this was very authentic Italian cuisine. We were a table of 4. Each ordered different items. We ordered the veal special with balsamic sauce, trout entree, shrimp the shrimp and Zucchini pasta had 3 small shrimp and was so bland that it was not worth eating. The marsala was underwhelming. They did take the entree off the menu and bought us dessert, which was nice. However, I would not recommend going, if you are looking for good Italian food.
Wonderful meal, everything is always good. Always go to eat there when in town. Great service, our favorite Denver restaurant!
Great food with some unusual menu items. Will done there again.
Fabrizio and Brian took wonderful care of us! We had friends in town and had to take them to our fave spot. I dreamt about the tagliatelle delle nonna Laura. We’ll be back over and over again!
Very delayed service. Food excellent except for pot roast which was thinly sliced and sparse and they forgot to bring our mushrooms - brought them way late -we were almost done.
The tagliatelle pasta with meat sauce is phenomenal.
What a wonderful GEM Lo Stella is! Consistently exceptional food, creative and so tasteful! The ambiance is so warm and inviting and the wait staff are all charming and attentive. What a special treat Lo Stella is!
I’m in love with the fish ravioli here!
This is my new, favorite restaurant. The food is supberb, the service outstanding. A cozy, delightful place to spend an evening.
We first discovered Lo Stella in Portofino, Italy. Finding one in Denver, was unexpected and very much apreciated!
It was a little loud but the food and service was good. I’d go back.
Always wonderful food. The trout with rosemary, lemon, garlic and tomatoes cooked in parchment is a personal favorite.
Very nice that the family takes such good care of you. You feel appreciated as a customer there.
The food was amazing
Amazing! Service was impeccable and the food and wine suggestions were spot on! The homemade fish ravioli was absolutely delicious!
Great place for date night or supper with friends. Very close to the Denver Art Museum for supper after an afternoon of art.
Waiting staff was fabulous and the food and wine delicious.
Enjoyed the immediate fragrance of delicious food upon my entrance to Lo Stella. The tasting of that delicious food did not disappoint! Excellent dinner!
Authentic Italian food and great service. Our bread basket was never empty!
We've been to Lo Stella several times, its one of our favorites in Denver, and it never disappoints! I'm always crippled by decision when handed the menu, there are always so many excellent selections, and their daily specials make the choice even harder! We also always find something unique and delicious on the wine list. Having traveled to Italy, it feels like we're back - the food is authentic and customers and employees alike speak Italian so it's like being on vacation without leaving Denver.
We really enjoy this restaurant. We ate at it's sister restaurant in Portofino,Italy and the pasta dishes are just as good here.
Vibrant, Excellent service, lovely food. The wine list covers all the bases and is very well thought out. Our host was great, attentive, friendly, humorous and interested in what we had to say. The restaurant is cozy but lively, and we had an excellent time.
Wine prices too high. Six times retail! Otherwise the best Italian in Denver.
We have been to LoStella three times now and love the food, the owner and the location. This time I wanted to give feedback as our service was below par. We still gave 20% tip but the owner may want to know that our waiter forgot to bring the second beer ordered, then forget the fresh pepper and lastly provided the wrong parmaesan as opposed to fresh used on other dishes. We will return despite these details, as we overall love it.
Excellent authentic Italian cuisine
Nice Italian restaurant near Denver Art Museum. Good food and ambiance. Recommend the fish pasta with the shrimp cream sauce.
We had our anniversary dinner here. This is definitely a little gem. Classy but casual. Great service with a lively Italian waiter who made great recommendations. We basically ordered everything he recommended and were extremely happy. The food was fantastic. We had the prosciutto/buratta appetizer. The fish and shrimp ravioli, it was divine. The ravioli was light and fresh. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the tiramisu was great. Will definitely go back.
Great food and service. Love their pasta Bolognese, mushroom salad and bread!!
Bizarre, unacceptable service. Fabrizio informed us as soon as we sat that he needed our table in 90’minutes, then rushed us through, including pouring our second bottle of wine out in 3 gigantic pours without asking. When we tried to leave, continued returning my credit card indicating he preferred us to stay and move to another table for dessert. Repeatedly used rhe f word casually and overdid flirting, planting several kisses on my friend. Food was fine but unremarkable- charcuterie plate was a joke. Disappointed.
Reservation recommended, the locals fill all the tables but 6:30 on a Wed night when we enjoyed dinner
Lamb was extremely good
Service team did a great job with a full house
The seafood ravioli was excellent. Worth having again for sure.
Awesome neighborhood spot. Outstanding service, great food, amazing wine and a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!
Excellent service, with outstanding food.
Like this place very much, come every few months. Enjoyed the calamari appetizer and the tricolor salad; had wild boar entree special which was very nice. We will be back!
Outstanding food and service!
I generally like this restaurant, we have been there multiple times as my husband loves the bolognese. We took the family the other night and although the food was outstanding, the service was not good at all. We were served waters right away, and then ignored. We had to flag down a waiter to get a drinks order in. We flagged him down again to order appetizers and he literally ran away after we ordered the app special. I was mid-sentence wanting to order more apps. Somebody else brought out the appetizer, so we had to flag him again to order entrees, which took forever to come. He said when we inquired as to entree status "I talked to the kitchen and your foods is 2 minutes out".....it was another twenty minutes. A simple weekday meal of two courses should not take two hours!! It wasn't so much that we had to flag him down every single time, it was just annoying that he never once even looked at our table as he rushed by. The restaurant was not super-full, so I don't get it. The food was amazing, as usual.
We enjoyed a nice dinner after we visited the Monet Exhibit at the DAM. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the beef which was excellent. I ordered the lamb. It was exemplary. The preparation was delicious and the quality of the lamb was amazing. We have eaten lamb in many places in the world and this was a Highlight! Our server was very personable and helpful. We will definitely return.
Delicious! Our server was fabulous! He recommended his favorites which we shared family style, awesome Italian food!
This was our first time to Ristorante Lo Stella. We wanted to try it since Mick Jagger dined there in August. Mr. Jagger has good taste. Everything was great. Our server was fantastic. He had a heavy Italian accent . We felt we were in Italy. Highly recommend this restaurant.
