Was a little disappointed. This was our favorite place two years ago. Lines were brown. Server was mispronouncing basic Italian words and food. He misheard our app and made up for it- but the timing was delayed a half hour. They didn’t have the wine I wanted. The food all had chopped iceberg lettuce. The noodles were dry. Lights were bright, no music. Disappointed.
Drinks were delicious, the specials were unique, and the service was great. Friendly staff, great food, can’t wait to come back with friends!
Great little spot. Fantastic service. Get there early...to be sure the specials are still available.
Great food and service. My husband and I enjoyed our dinner.
Last night I enjoyed an early dinner at Lo Stella to accommodate a friend who was recovering from a recent surgery. It had been a while since I've enjoyed such a nice evening out - delicious food, excellent service, and an opportunity to linger over dessert and conversation. We chose the entree special for the day - a whole branzino, encrusted and baked in salt. It was delicious ! The waiter cracked open the salt tomb, carefully removed the skin, and served up the moist white filets. It was a great entree for 2 people and came with a choice of 2 side vegetables. As always, Lo Stella offers tasty and affordable wines and if you're lucky, they may have some of their yummy limoncello in stock.
I highly recommend this restaurant - great central location, nice atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food.
Very enjoyable experience. Service was good, food was good. Had a very local feel to it. Friendly.
Great Italian restaurant, they have pizzas back on the menu!
VERY GOOD RESTAURANT, GOOD PRICES, ONLY SMALL, BUT EVERYTHING OKAY
Outstanding delicious food. Ask for server Brian! He is very knowledgeable on the dishes and can make excellent wine suggestions that will pair well with whatever entree you select.
Once again the service, food and atmosphere was top notch from beginning to end!
We went for our first time on New Years Eve. The bread was ice cold.
We have visited many times and never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, like family. And the food is always amazing!! Date night MUST for us! ❤️
Service is over the top.
It’s my favorite spot for Italian food
Great service, good for couples, close to museums.
We loved our experience at this restaurant! We came in for our reservation, were seated right away. The waiter was very attentive, and made several excellent recommendations for wine and grappa to accompany our dishes. The meal itself was delicious - the pasta with shrimp and zucchini was outstanding, and the bistecca was perfectly cooked! The panna cotta was the best I've ever had! We were the last people in the restaurant, and never felt rushed - wonderful experience, will be. back!
Best Italian restaurant in Denver. This is our anniversary restaurant every year. Fabulous place for any special occasion.
Amazing experience! All of the food was great and a wonderful atmosphere.
Food was great and Brian was a fantastic server. Desserts are homemade and delicious. But the homemade pasta is the way to go.
Once again - a fabulous meal and experience at LoStella!
Went out for Christmas Eve dinner and was thoroughly impressed. Incredible food for the price although there are not many choices at lower price points. Service at the bar was top notch and we did not feel like they were trying to turn tables. Pace of the serving was perfect. Highly recommend.
We chose to spend Christmas eve there, and we weren't disappointed. It was our second time there. Allow the host/owner to make suggestions, especially if you're not familiar with the items on the menu. They're northern Italian selections, no meatballs, no lasagna. Be open to the specials. The pasta choices are carefully chosen and prepared. The wine he suggested was perfect, and you must try the tiramisu, it's nothing like what I've had before. It's pricey, but worth it.
A little slice of Italy in Denver's Golden Triangle!
Not a romantic place to go for an Anniversary. Host was not welcoming. Waiter was some what offended when we asked for a menu. QR code only. He did rebound and gave us the menu verbally with some excellent recommendations. Wine was good, food was good but the place had no charm.
Homemade bread homemade pastas homemade desserts. All delicious. Fantastic service
Great wine selection and delicious food
Great food, just everything was over priced - food and drinks.
Great Italian restaurant! Reasonable prices and very good portions. Our server could have asked us if we wanted parm, cheese or pepper with our appetizers and entrees, but otherwise a good experience.
Everything was perfect—the waitstaff, the ambiance, the lighting, the music, and especially the food! You should make time for this gem of a restaurant!
The menu has shrunk and they were out of some of their dishes
As always, the most authentic Italian food in Denver. This place is a true gem
Pasta with clams dish seemed expensive for the few clams that came with it.
Always dependable for authentic, excellant, Italian fare!
This place is great. The food is outstanding and the servers were very nice. I'll be going back often.
Wonderful and Leo head waiter is awesome
Lo Stella is our usual stop on the nights we go to Curious Theatre; that is until Covid interrupted our routine. It was nice to be back. A few changes since we were last there, but it's still an excellent choice for "date night" before a play. Since forever I've ordered their wonderful "Nonna Laura," but this time I tried something new: chicken saltimbocca with steamed spinach. Not surprisingly, it too was delicious. My wife ordered bistecca with mushrooms, which she said she'd order again in a second. We washed it all down with a very nice Barbera. All in all, a fine meal, friendly and helpful waitstaff, nice ambiance - just like old times. It's good to be back!
Beautiful food, cooked to perfection.
The home made mozzarella was out of this world
Just a fantastic intimate restaurant. From the second you walk in you feel welcome. The wait staff are professional without pretension. The food was creative twists on some fairly standard dishes, but that synergy was magic.
The true Italian experience in denver. Bravooo
The quality of service and food is still amazing! Just wish the lighting was a little dimmer. Was too bright.
The waiter was excellent. Apparently the Rolling Stones ate there in 2020. I would highly recommend Mick Jagger’s favorite dish
