We went there with a party of six for a birthday dinner. Everything was top-notch. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I had crab cakes and loved them. Nice wine selection too. I highly recommend it.

I was greeted with a "warm welcome" when I arrived for my reservation! The service is exceptional and their knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and how dishes are prepared help clear doubt you may have had about what you ordered. My choice is the Braised short rib which falls right off the bone. I hope this helps anyone who wants to enjoy fine dining with their significant other. Thank you!

Limited menu to chose from. Wait staff was slow, even with minimal patrons. Music was over powering for small dining room. For the price, the food should have been better. After dinner coffee was luke warm, did not taste fresh.

What a hidden gem. Who knew that tucked away on 13th avenue was this amazing restaurant in a lovely old building. We had a cozy table right next to the fire place. I will warn you that the bread is to die for but try to save enough room for the entrees!

Took my husband here for his birthday, staff was polite and helpful. We had the calamari, braised beef rib and the crab pasta everything was delicious. Food came out timely and good portions for the price.

This is a wonderful restaurant! We visited it last year and loved it, so our trip to Eugene this year, we made it top on our list. We stayed downtown by 5th St market, and took a short LYFT ride to the Excelsior. The service was great, the food was outstanding, and is must on our list of great restaurants to revisit!!

The Excelisor is excellent. Kind of high prices. The Waterfront Depot in Florence is one of our favorites.

Fantastic food and great service. We ate on the patio due to COVID precautions, and had it all to ourselves. A patio heater would have made it ideal and would have allowed us to linger a bit more over dessert.

First time there- will not be the last time. Atmosphere was romantic (we sat in the dining area), waiter was very attentive and helpful in deciding drinks, drinks were crisp, food was (and I’m not exaggerating) AMAZING. My fiancé was born and raised in Alaska and is always hesitant to eat seafood down here in the lower states. He was blown away. We couldn’t stop complimenting the chef. Overall so satisfied.

Bistro side is nice for an evening out and the dining room is wonderful for special occasions.

Dessert was amazing! Dinner and appetizers were mediocre, especially for cost. Ambiance and staff was perfect! I would recommend it for dessert.

Best restaurant in Eugene, food and service are always outstanding.

We decided to try this restaurant based on the good reviews we read. The service was great - our waiter was very attentive and friendly, however the food was horrible. The gnocchi was chewy and hard. The pizza margherita tasted just like a store bought frozen pizza and the pasta al granchio (which was supposed to be crab, fettuccine with smoked mussel cream sauce, tomatoes, wild mushrooms, lemon and lavender) was nothing of the sort. It was fettuccine with cream sauce with a few tiny pieces of crab and some cherry tomatoes. There were no mushrooms, and certainly no hint of mussels. I don't know the chef was off that night or if this was an off night for the restaurant but we very all very disappointed with our meals.

Our entire meal was excellent. We did not have italian food, but I had a huge beef rib, cooked to perfection and my husband had the beef filet special. The bottle of Barbera wine we bought to go with the meal was excellent. Fantastic service also.

We went for our 5 year anniversary. Hostess said happy anniversary, very kind, but that was the end of it. Food was amazing, drinks were good, service was meh. You know that thing servers do, when your their last table and they hover nearby glancing at your table like every 30 seconds waiting for you to "ask" for the check? Between that and no acknowledgement of our anniversary with a $200 price tag? meh. Maybe I can just get the take out next time.

Amazing experience, gotta love the place and the music made it comforting to be there dining with the candle light. The food was exquisite and the presentation was superb.

Excellent food and great atmosphere

Very good food! Lovely place to eat. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Lamb was over cooked. Caprese salad tomatoes not great but there was cavier. Pasta dishes were to die for, as was RR Ranch filet. Just a little disappointed in lamb. Service was perfect. Very nice evening.
