On the patio with our dog and friends on a summer night with great food and service from Matt - what could be better!
Food amazing. Setting. Perfect. Could not ask for anymore.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and elegant, yet casual. The food is consistently excellent as is the service. Staff are very attentive and anticipate when you may need assistance. A very wonderful experience overall.
Our waitress ruined the celebration of my daughters bday. She didn’t know the menu and what was available. After telling us what she ordered was no longer available, she then brought the wrong second entree. We ended up leaving and going to Le Marche. We were excited to try here only to be disappointed.
Had a wonderful dinner. Due to COVID it was a distanced quiet one but the food and service were great. The place is very safe.
The service was great, the food was delicious and the experience was great overall!
Restorante Italiano accommodated me and my daughter on short notice. Food was very good. Service was fantastic and attended to us respectfully. Can’t wait to return!
Celebrating the reopening of Eugene. Meal was superb as expected. Thank you Maurizio!
Always love this place. Great atmosphere. Great service. Food is always perfect.
Loved the rooms! Quiet, very comfortable, unique decor. We had 2 breakfasts and a dinner all of them excellent from the pastry chef’s berry jelly to the melt in your mouth filet mignon! Generous portions and friendly efficient staff. All the staff were friendly, helpful smiling.
Everything was exceptional which made for a lovely evening.
Food and service were fantastic. Would highly recommend!
A wonderful restaurant in an old inn, with exceptional food and great ambiance!
My 91 year old mother and I were seated at 6:30 and only ordered salads and soup. Our salad came out at 7:40. It was a slow Sunday night with only a dozen other filled tables at the most. The salads were small for the price yet tasty, but we waited way too long. The soup was ok, not exceptional, which it should be for the price. Very disappointing over all.
Excellent as always. Service was exceptional with wonderful unique entrees
Food was nicely presented and tasted great. The ambience was good, especially on Valentines Day. We were seated at a corner table and felt as though there was privacy. Your service was excellent.
Great food, and great service.
This restaurant is a favorite of ours for special occasions. We enjoy going with out-of-town visitors as well. We can always count on it for good food, service, atmosphere. We even stayed at the Inn---just lovely!
Asked my partner to marry me
Excellent restaurant for a special occasion, the food was wonderful, the ambiance perfect and nice knowledgeable service. Would recommend it.
Perfect valentines dinner. Lovely staff, perfect steak, and as always delicious desserts. Excelsior never disappoints.
One of the best restaurants in Eugene. Never disappoints.
Great birthday brunch on a Sunday! Service and food were excellent!
Very elegant table setting. Superb attention to decor. Wait staff helpful and attentive. Food of excellent quality. Too bad both my husband and my entrees were overly salty. We had the filet mignon and smoked pork loin. Meat was very tender however and delicious.
We liked the decor very much and the service was excellent; attentive, intelligent without being overbearing. The white bean soup was delicious as was the fresh mozzarella salad. The main course, however (goat cheese ravioli) was just too salty; the salt overcame any other flavors and it's this which prevents me from giving the restaurant five stars overall. Goat cheese and the other cheese(s) already have salt - not much more (if any) is required. My wife also felt her duck was too salty.
not much privacy, very very loud even though only four tables were filled. service was hit and miss. very limited menu with strange combinations. steak was overcooked and tough, the glaze was bitter. desserts were good. carrot cake is excellent. doubt that i would go there again. expensive and really nothing special. very disappointing as we had been told that it was the best steak in town. the steak should have been ground into hamburger
A picture perfect setting with white linens on the table, soft lighting, and rain gently pitter-patting on the roof. Calimare was our first course, being lightly fried and breaded. We washed our palates with delicious red wine. The main course was Caesar salad and porterhouse lamb. The portions were amble and mouthwatering. Dessert was Ciochoclito and coffee. A dinner to long remember. The wait staff were incredible.
The food was amazing...the drinks well poured...the service excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Wait staff was amazing and attentive. Kudos. Food was very flavorful and filling. Good portions. Prices are over what they probably should be, but you are paying also for a nicer ambience. It is nicely quiet and great for intimate dining conversations. Had to send my rib eye back as it was overcooked. Took a while but the flavors were amazing and the second time was great but grisly and fatty with only about 1/2 the actual meat. But that is a ribeye I guess. They did comp they meal after overcooking it, so they definitely made its right. I would return and try some pasta...
The restaurant is lovely, quaint and quiet. They prepared a special meal for me and everything was wonderful.
Very overpriced, bland entrees and incredibly stuffy atmosphere. Special cocktail I ordered was not good - overly sweet but odd combination of flavors. Oysters were the highlight of the meal and very good. Didn’t get a wine or cocktail list when we were sat, busser/host told us he was sick and looked like he had a fever- GROSS!!! Don’t tell people that and moreover, go home. Asked for wine list only got glass pour list. Would probably have gotten a bottle but decided to save our money and drink mediocre glass pours. Not an impressive glass pour list at all. Server was nice and attentive though. We have no desire to return.
Fabulous experience, lovely ambiance, delicious food. Krystal provided outstanding service. Highly recommend the Excelsior.
At the last hour we changed from 6 to 10. No problem and we were accommodated. Crystal, our server, was great as we had to children with us, 7 & 12. She worked to find a meal for them (both are gluten sensitive) and also had three desserts available too. Made both menus available too.
Age range for our group was 77 to 7. Everyone had a great time.
Off night for us, seated by the door in a cold draft, server forgot our salads, our favorite pasta was undercooked...and then returned from the kitchen drenched in oil and not edible. Disappointing.
My wife and I always have a great experience here. The food and service is fantastic.
Probably the only truly upscale dining in Eugene. Very nice! We will return.
We had a lovely time. The staff was amazing and the food was exquisite. What could make a great experience even better? Dessert!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, although plan time to find parking, especially handicapped.
Always amazing and this night was the best yet. Food, wine, ambiance...10/10
