Ristorante Giuseppe, in Shreveport, specializes in incredibly authentic and flavorful Italian cuisine with a dose of classic southern hospitality in its grand and elegant eatery. The crabmeat tortino crepe topped with savory mushrooms sauce and the taleggio cheese plate with marmalade make exceptional starters. Some of Ristorante Giuseppe's specialty entrées include the homemade beef tortellini Maria Rosa in creamy alfredo sauce with ham and peas, beef filet and jumbo shrimp surf and turf meal in a succulent red wine sauce and the crab-stuffed roasted quail in port sauce served over a bed of polenta, all of which are prepared to perfection.
For a sweet end to your meal, enjoy one of Ristorante Giuseppe's many homemade desserts, such as the amaretto house cake, a layered sponge cake with amaretto cream, chocolate and whipped cream or the apple torta de mele served with vanilla and chocolate gelati.
Excellent as always. Hate to see it close. Best of luck to Chef in the future.
One of Shreveport's best. I/we have never had a bad meal here.
Giuseppe's always delivers. Delicious food and great service!
Party of six I can't say the food was bad it just wasn't good it was bland and not seasoned all six of us on the four different entrees ordered thought the same the meat and cheese tray was good the Caesar salad was not good to me but it may be me our server was not friendly at all she did get better as the evening wore on but was never friendly
I made last minute reservations on Saturday afternoon for 3 persons at 5:30p that same day. I was so pleased that they were able to accommodate my party of 3. When we arrived, the hostess promptly seated us in the main dining room. The waitress was extremely attentive and polite. She reviewed with us the specials of the day and also suggested a wine to accompany our meal. The entire dinner including wine and dessert was delicious and satisfying! Definitely will return again!!
Sunday brunch menu is one of the best in Shreveport.
Great food, pasta was excellent Good ambient for families.
I really feel like the value was in the small plates. I got a small wedge salad and followed it up with a risotto that was both very filling and tasty. My fiance got the special-redfish-which was delicious but not the portion or presentation (there was some kind of steamed celery stalk they were trying to pass as a vegetable you want to eat) I would expect from a $35 meal. The service was fair, I only say that because our waiter kept correcting the way everyone said their choices and one person's meal came out much later than everyone else's so we had to go back and inquire about it, at which point it was promptly brought out. It also wasn't a dish that should take any longer. The service was the downside, the food was all delicious and overall the value was okay.
Our server was a wealth of knowledge. Food was great, unique sauces full of flavor on our main dishes.
This was my first time here. The server was great, and very knowledgeable about the wine. Good ambience and noise level for dining and conversation. I was, however, disappointed in the food. One of our guests got the sausage pasta which lacked flavor. I found the value of the red snapper to be pretty poor for what I received - it was a very small piece of fish and portion of vegetables. Overall, it was a good experience and I would come back.
