Absolutely outstanding! Just sorry we haven't come here sooner, but we will definitely be back. Having winemakers from Italy there and being able to taste their wines was an extra treat.
Food was outstanding! Great service, delicious wine.
In terms of what we have experienced of the "fine dining" scene here in Columbia, Ristorante Divino is a real gem. This was our second experience at this restaurant. Our first visit was really great. We were a little apprehensive about having as wonderful an overall experience as we did during our first visit; but that was completely unnecessary. All of our meals (from appetizers through to after-supper coffee) were fantastic. The food was fresh, prepared with great skill, and presented beautifully.
The service was professional and friendly. The ambiance was pleasant, and the noise level (which can easily ruin a great dining experience) was acceptable.
I cannot recommend Ristorante Divino highly enough - I would return in a heartbeat!
Wonderful, attentive service. Excellent food.
Everything was perfect!! The food was outstanding!! The service was wonderful. We absolutely loved we were not rushed through our meal. We could not have been more pleased with our experience especially since it was my sons USC graduation celebration dinner.
The Mediterranean Sea bass was wonderfully prepared and the accompanying potatoes and spinach were perfect with it. The atmosphere was nice but it was Wednesday night and on more crowded nights it can get a little to bright and noisy for a romantic evening. The drink wasn’t a generous pour and the service was slightly off, unusual for Divino.
Overpriced. Food ok. Nothing spectacular. Won’t return.
Great food and outstanding service! Michael was great as even helped us with after dinner entertainment recommendation
This was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. Our dining experience was lovely. We were able to take our time and enjoy the evening together without feeling like we were rushed to finish and give up our table for someone else. Our waiter was very accommodating and the food was excellent.
Excellent food with excellent service. The ambiance was great the food was delicious and the cocktails were tasty. The decor could use a little updating but the overall experience was top notch !!! Highly recommend.
It was just okay. Nothing really bad, nothing really good. Had shrimp scampi. Sauce was red-ish. Waiter tried hard but was young and not very knowledgeable .
This was our second visit to Divino’s. The first time was excellent in every way so we expected the same this time. Unfortunately, it just seemed to be an off night in general. The blue polenta cake was too salty, the salad was salty (how do you even do that?), the Black Sea bass was very over-cooked and dry, and the amount of veggies as a side was just paltry. The meal was $89 and I really expect exceptional food for that much money. Service was okay overall. I noticed that other diners had a plate for their olive oil with balsamic vinegar added but we didn’t have either.
Both times that we ate here, there were groups of diners nearby who had apparently had a bit too much to drink. Both times, they were so loud that we had trouble hearing our own conversation. We were celebrating a special occasion and were disappointed with our experience.
Good food flavors a little blander for my palate but good service and nice restaurant
Outstanding restaurant with great food and drinks. Good for fine dining or just a date night. Customer Service was great. I will be returning soon.
Wonderful! Great food, great service!
We’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Divino’s! So we planned an early dinner before going to see the Eagles in concert👍. For some reason , the chef was a little too heavy on the salt. My salad and Brussels sprouts were very salty! Scallops were delicious👍 I informed the server after the meal so he could pass it on to the chef👌
Otherwise a lovely experience!
My husband and I are new to the Columbia area and have been in search of a restaurant that is more upscale than the restaurants we we have already tried. This past Saturday we had dinner at Ristorante Divino and we have found our go to restaurant for a special night out. The service was excellant. We didn't feel rushed and delivery of our different courses was timed perfectly. Our waiter was very personable attentitive but not intrusive. I highly recommend the Shimp and Mussels served over Ristto. We look forward to dining here again.
Divino’s has always been one of our favorites. However, the past couple of times we have been, we have felt rushed through our meal. Servers gave impression of rushing multiple patrons out of restaurant. (There was no one waiting for tables to be seated, nor was the restaurant full.)
Service was exceptional. We had shrimp scampi, not what I am accustomed to, it had red sauce and capers, but it was good. The gnocchi was way under cooked. Otherwise it was a nice dinner.
Really good meal!
Excellent meatballs! Yum
Special was a bone in cowboy ribeye; excellent!
Our waiter Michael was great and very accommodating. The food was amazing.
It took a long time to receive our entrees, even though there were no other diners in the restaurant when we arrived. After about 30 minutes, more customers arrived to eat and then our service got even slower. My group all thought that though the food tasted good, it was NOT worth the high prices. At one point, the waiter told me that he was going to come fill my water glass back up, but he got busy and forgot, and 20 minutes later, I had to flag him down to do this. Also, some members of my group thought that the fancy names listed on the menu and the wine menu were not very informational (too much Italian, but also too many flowery words for things).
Always enjoy. Wine list has options for all. We’ve never had a meal we did not thoroughly enjoy.
our favorite! Food is wonderful and it is quiet and the service cannot be beaten.
Overall experience was excellent. Got there a bit early and had wine at the bar. Staff was very knowledgeable and offered generous tastings of several wines. When we were seated at the table our waiter was also very attentive and knew the specials. The food was well presented and prepared. I am so glad to have found this gem and will be back on my next trip to Columbia.
We had not been here for some time. This was our anniversary and we could not have enjoyed anything as much as we did last night.
If you haven’t been here lately you owe it to yourself to try this restaurant again!
My wife and I had dinner Friday night, we had a nice time. The only isuue we had was that we lost our waiter to the bar a few times. It seem as though, he was also the bartender. The food was great, as well as the beverages. I would definitely eat here again.
Devin our server was attentive and thoughtful.
Great! Food was excellent!!
My wife and I both think that this is easily one of the best restaurants in town. A little spendy, but nice.
When we first arrived, the whole dining room was completely open except for one table and the hostess decided to seat us directly next to her at a table about 4 feet from the hostess stand. It was an awkward placement, and it just set the mood for the rest of the experience. This restaurant was average, but for the prices they are charging it should be exceptional. The caesar salad I had was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bread was served to us late so it was awkward timing. The pappardelle bolognese was very underwhelming. It was quite bland and I expected more from it honestly.
All in all, I thought it was a 2.5/5 if that was possible to give. Columbia lacks a great Italian restaurant and I was hoping this was going to be it, but unfortunately it did not come close to my hopes.
I took two work colleagues to dinner at Ristorante Divino last week. The food was very good. I had a fabulous whole branzino; one of my dinner companions had a very nice cioppino, and the other person at the table had a pasta dish. The service could not have been better. We told the waiter that one of our party was a vegetarian, the the waiter gave various options of dishes that could be made without any meat products or stocks. He was helpful and professional and came at just the right time to ask if we needed anything. My only complaint about Ristorante Divino is the dated furnishings. Given the quality of the food, I would expect something a bit more contemporary and stylish. It appears that the restaurant has a private dining area that is more up-to-date in terms of decor.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbia. The service is always excellent, friendly and attentive, but not too attentive. Everything I've eaten on the menu has been great. The wine is also excellent and they have a good selection.
Very nice atmosphere. The food is alittle on the pricey side, but the food is delicious. Gives you an experience to try something different. Definitely a must try, and it is a restaurant I will be visiting again.
I went here to celebrate Valentine's Day with my girlfriend and it was a great experience. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food tasted fresh and was just great all around.
Valentine’s. Sebastian is the bartender. Mike was our waiter. We were well attended by all and not rushed, though they were busy and steady. Good was well prepared and generous. Will be returning soon.
Wonderful dining- will be our choice for the next "special meal"!
One order for fish was so salty could not eat so sent back. Second order was rack of lamb order medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes. Lamb was more than well done and potatoes had so much garlic I could not eat. Did not complain about lamb entree but will take a lot of thought before I try this restaurant again.
