Ristorante Divino Ratings and Reviews
One order for fish was so salty could not eat so sent back. Second order was rack of lamb order medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes. Lamb was more than well done and potatoes had so much garlic I could not eat. Did not complain about lamb entree but will take a lot of thought before I try this restaurant again.
Very tasty food...a pleasant surprise in a town like Columbia which has not always been known to be a great place for interesting restaurants. The one bummer was that the credit card connection went down and I could not use a card to pay for my meal. Fortunately I had cash. I am sure it was a fluke.
This was our first time at Divino even though I’m often in Columbia for business. We will return. The food was great. I had the veal saltimbocca, my wife had the filet, and my son had the lamb chop - all were prepared perfectly. I also enjoyed the stuffed peppers appetizer. Our waitress was charming. The lighting could be dimmed a little. Definitely worth trying.
My date and I were celebrating her birthday, and this dinner and overall experience made it special. The food was delicious, the service was good and friendly, and the intimate dining room provided the perfect ambiance for savoring our meal and engaging in quiet conversation. It's been awhile since I'd eaten at Ristorante Divino, but after this I will definitely be going back more often.
We have dined with you one to two time a year and the food has always been excellent.
I had the steak which turned out to be a end piece and was tuff and chewy. I have had that same steak before and it was better that a the steak I do my self!
I think is was the piece of meat! Which I will send back if it happens again.
Everything was wonderful for my husbands birthday.
Could not ask for a better waiter in Patrik (spelling) sorry. Before dinner drinks were perfect blue cheese stuffed olives, tall glass for gin and tonic, Perfect table that I requested. Large red wine glasses. Most important the food was cooked perfectly. Can't wait to return.
Everything was wonderful. The food was beyond amazing! The service was terrific! We were there to celebrate my husband having a great year in all his college classes and everyone on the staff congratulated his accomplishment! This was the first time we tried Ristorante Divino, but it won’t be the last! Amazing to have such a wonderful place in our backyard!
This restaurant was our first date in 2004 and we have been going ever since. Even when we lived 1,000+ miles away we would make a point to go for one dinner while back in town visiting family. It never disappoints. The cocktails are creative and delicious and the food will stop you in your tracks. The gnocchi is a favorite of ours. Hope you enjoy!
Entre was small portion; need to purchase appetizer or salad in order to receive a still small-sized complete meal. My Tiramisu desert was flat compared to my partner's with small amount of cake (lady fingers) inside; tasted no better or not as good as Tiramisu from Sam's or Costco, or Outback. You pay for the abundant staff, not for food quality.
We went to Ristorante Divino for a post graduation celebratory dinner. Everything was fantastic, even with having to wait for our table - even with the reservations. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine list and recommended some different wines to try that paired very nicely with all the food. Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.
Nice, attentive, efficient staff. Delicious food!! Our party enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese plate, calimari, mussels, and salad diving today start. We then had the veal chop, Divino Shrimp, lamb Valsecchii, Filet di bue, pappardelle bolognese, and fish special. All were prepared nicely. Good value for what you got. Cozy romantic atmosphere. We look forward to coming back!
The service was very good and all the restaurant staff was very friendly. My husband ordered lamb medium rare but it came out medium. He stated it was just average. We also ordered the shrimp with mussels over risotto. It was fine but I wouldn’t order it again. All in all the food was average but we did enjoy our wine and the waitress was very nice.
This is not your typical "Italian" restaurant. They have dishes from Northern Italy, Southern Italy (like spaghetti & meatballs), and French dishes like duck and rack of lamb. I had a pasta dish with pieces of wild boar in a bolognese sauce. Pasta was very fresh. A bit on the pricey side, but interesting different dishes, excellent service.
I have always wanted to try this place but never had the chance. We were in town for a concert and realized that it was restaurant week and they were on the list so we used that as our first time dining at Ristorante Divino. The service was immpecable. The food delicious and plentiful. Would go back here again and again
We have eaten here for years. The last two times we have gone the food has not been good and it has been very loud. Years ago this was the best in town. They had tablecloths with the best service and food. It has been going down over the last 3 years. No tablecloths and much more casual. Even though the down grade of atmosphere the prices have stayed the same. I had the swordfish and it was way over cooked and very salty. The size was so small it was about three bytes and gone. My wife ordered scallops and they were awful. They were burnt on the bottom. She only ate two of the five. As stated I have been a long term customer but have now had my final visit. Such a shame
Second time there when visiting our daughter for parent weekend. From Chicago, we have high standards for Italian food and Divino is equal with some of the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. Excellent Caorese salad and venison carpaccio for appetizers, fabulous papardelle with boar bolongese and other pasta dishes for entrees. Great server in Phillip as well. We shall return regularly.
I was expecting so much more from this place... It sounded great but the service was bad, he would disappear and we wouldn't see him again. We had to flag him down to get another cocktail or wine. The drinks made by the bartender weren't great. I ordered the gnocchi and was SO excited for it, it came out with 10 noodles. This place just fell way short of what I expected based on the reviews. I am not sure if the place has undergone management/chef changes but there are definitely much better places in Columbia.
