Food was good, service a little slow. Overall nice meal with family.
I am an Italian and a very good cook. I only eat out when the food is very good. Everyone in our party totally enjoyed their meal. That is rare.
My husband I, chose Ristorante Divino to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Reservation on line was simple.
Entrance to the restaurant is somewhat dark and could use some plants to make it more attractive.
Service was very good. Our server -Drew- was very courteous as soon as we got a table, he introduced himself and ordered some cocktails.
Appetizer Bruschetta was very tasty and served promptly . Main course (Pollenta and rack of lamb) excellent.
Dessert tiramisu was good.
Background music retro from the 50's created a pleasant atmosphere. Personally, the decor was too dark for my taste. I prefer bright places.
Overall it was a very nice dining experience which I'll recommend and visit again.
the server was the best part of the dinner
Went here during Restaurant Week and loved the 3 course meal. The servers were great and I really loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend.
First time back in Columbia in 4 years for Mom’s birthday. Food and service are still outstanding. 5+ Stars
Low key quiet and intimate. The food was delicious and very fairly priced.
Very good dinner, although, a bit spicier than the last time. Still fantastic though.
The restaurant, the service and the food was exceptional. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
Food was great as usual. The appetizers were very good. It was a little noisy in the restaurant that night but it was only because it was crowded. We always enjoy eating there and will certainly go back again.
Their food is always great and the service is always excellent!! Will continue to dine there for many years to come. Great job Divino's!!
Service was great. Calamari really tasty. Polenta dish was a miss. Would have been good tasting seafood & polenta but dish was totally overpowered by too much & too spicy sauce.
Medical school event
While the food is consistently good, as is the service, we are no longer willing to pay for a white tablecloth experience when that is no longer what is being offered. The manager and hostess were in jeans which signaled to the patrons clad in denim short shorts, tshirts etc that proper dress is not required. Very disappointing.
The server we had the last two times gave us excellent service. Have never had a somewhat bad experience here. Can’t go wrong here
The last several times good and service was marginal. This time marginal service and food was poor. Three of us ordered Escargot. All three were cold. Called the gentleman over that was wearing a red coat. He took back and never once apologized. Our server was not fully trained. This use to be one of our favorite spots. Don’t know what has happened but quality has gone way down. Will have to find another favorite.
None of our food had any wow factor - charcuterie board, Veal chop, and the spaghetti. My salad, the bread served and my vegetables served with my Veal were the best tasting things. The salad and charcuterie board took 20 minutes to come out. I had to ask for a refill on my iced tea. The Divino salad had great flavor but was wet and wilty. The charcuterie board meats really did not have much flavor at all and were all finely shaved dried meats with a very gamey, overall aged taste. The sauces and the bread were the best parts. The Veal Chop came out raw, not rare, raw. It took me 5 minutes to flag the manager as no one checked in on us. When I showed the cut part to the manager and he saw the fleshy meat and asked, “so you want us to cook it more?” The 5 bites before that were all fat that was very difficult to cut. After another 15 minutes it came back and was much better but despite being breaded and topped with cheese and a candies meat, still lacked great flavor. The spaghetti was too salty. We waited another 10 minutes to have our plates cleared. The waiter asked if my Veal was better and I said it was but it really should not been served that “rare” in the first place. He said that is how they do it there at 125 degrees. First of all 145 should be a minimum for serving certain meats like veal but he didn’t even ask me how I wanted it cooked???and he recommended it over the Special! Shouldn’t you have mentioned that you serve your Veal chop “sushi style” raw? Very disappointing experience for a place that has been recommended in the past. Slow service, average food, and no one asked how everything was and it wasn’t that busy. This place has definitely not what it used to be.
Service was good, drinks were good but the food was mediocre to poor. Fish was tough, had no flavor and not warm enough.
We ordered the fish special expecting it to be great- it was like rubber and tasteless.
The seafood offerings are otherwise very limited-to shellfish. Multiple folks served us
Which was a bit confusing.
The burrata was delicious but it was served over tough gnarly greens that were inedible.
We were very disappointed.
This was my second visit to Ristorante Divino. Both were excellent. Even when a well-attended birthday
party commenced nearby, the ambiance was pleasant. The service was warm and welcoming. At six o'clock
the sunlight playing on the red brick buildings across Gerais was a bit of a trip down memory lane for a
life-long admirer of the paintings of Edward Hopper. I mention the echo of a Hopper painting across the
street only to underscore that there are meany elements at play in an enjoyable evening at Divino. Thank you.
Average Italian food
The pasta was nearly uncooked. I would have sent it back but the waiter was out of sight. We ask to see the desert menu but the waiter never brought it to our table. We cancelled our future reservation and will likely never return.
This was probably our fourth visit to Ristorante Divino in the past two years. We consider it to be a place to go for a special night out, and they did not disappoint this time around. The menu offers a nice variety of dishes. The food is among the best Italian cuisine we have found in Columbia, and the server was very attentive. Given their location right in Gervais in the Vista, the valet parking is a true benefit.
On the negative side, they are pricier than they should be; and when you are paying their prices for a special night out, it is disappointing to see that they are so lax in their dress code (there were no fewer than three other people in the restaurant in shorts, tee shirts and tennis shoes).
Came for an anniversary dinner. Service was generally good but did have to ask for bread after server said it would be right out. My wife order steak special with chimichurri and requested the sauce on the side because she is sensitive to spicy foods. Steak came out perfectly cooked to medium rare but had the sauce on the steak. The replacement steak was overcooked but had the sauce on the side.
Experience was good but not up to an anniversary quality.
Took my parents out as they were visiting. When we go out for dinner we like this place.
Just felt like the flavors could have been better the appetizer was great but the entrees were average
Server was very friendly. The food was phenomenal. The flowers i ordered were set on the table when we arrived! 10/10
The food was excellent as was our server but there was a large party that ordered ahead of us and it took well over an hour to get our food. We were there for over 2 hours on a Monday evening.
At excellent high end restaurant. Great food and environment
Outstanding food! All items we had were extraordinary delicious. For starters we had mussels in a delicious broth, and a beet cured salmon carpaccio which was unique and superb. For entrees I had the dijon crusted bone in veal chop which was the best I've ever had, and wife had the veal picatto medallions which were deliciously prepared. Will definitely return. One word of caution if wanting to redeem Open Table reward, their system cannot process it. Would still dine there anyway though.
The food/restaurant was amazing but our waiter was more amazing than that
He was very kind and had a great level of patience and honesty.
They’re an Italian restaurant and were out of Prosecco so several cocktails on the menu they were unable to make. They also didn’t have 2 of the wine choices on the wine list. Food was just okay and service was not great considering how expensive they are. And the drinks were EXTREMELY skimpy. Skip this place for sure!!
My server was very nice and the food was good. I thought the restaurant itself looked outdated. The hostess appeared bored when not busy, was playing on her phone.
In town for convention, and decided to try something different. Portions were good flavor was great. Good wine selection. Deserts lacked some taste and presentation.
A lot of time had elapsed since I had been to this restaurant. Very happily, it has not lost any of it's superiority in terms of service, food and everything else that makes this establishment a place to go.
Conner and crew are the best!
The entrees were excellent. The calamari was not good - very greasy. The consomme was barely lukewarm and tasted more like water than a flavorful simple broth.
Overall it was great! Sometimes a few of the employees were in the open conversing about various things not associated with the customers dining experience which detract from the environment a bit but over it was excellent.
It was a Thursday and we were early so it was extremely nice to choice table for use. A number of tables had diners and a larger group was filtering in. But, we were treated perfectly. We selected a nice Italian wine, I'm partial, and it was not one of the expensive ones either and it was very good. The server made all the suggestions and aided us in that my wife cannot eat cheese but can handle limited milk used in cooking. She made sure of everything. She suggested an appetizer of something neither of us had had and said it was perfect for two, and she was right one, pheasant with pineapple. We had a super meal. Being it was our anniversary, 48, price wasn't what we were looking for. A great dinner was and all expectations were met. To top it off, free valet parking didn't hurt as walking long distances isn't our think anymore. We will go back.
We had a great server and the food was delicious! It was my husband’s birthday and he can’t stop singing Divino’s praises.
