One of our all-time favorite restaurants. The food, service and atmosphere all made for a phenomenal evening. Scott and Sam, our waiters, we’re extremely attentive and didn’t miss a single detail all evening !
The food at this restaurant is very good. It is Italian and not of the down home spaghetti and meatballs variety. I've eaten here at least three times now, and each time the food has been excellent. On this most recent occasion, we ordered a wide variety of food from Branzino to Steak to pasta. We all loved our meals.
If you want to give Castello a try, reserve well in advance. It is incredibly popular. Unfortunately, it takes forever for every stage of service. They seated us right on time, and then we waited a long time for a waitress to come to talk to us. She left and there was another long wait before our order was taken. Our reservation was at 7:30. I can't remember when our appetizers came, but we were not served our entrees until 9:30. After we were served, we couldn't get the attention of anyone to refill our water glasses.
Another thing that marred the evening was that the restaurant was so loud that we had trouble talking to anyone but the people next to us. There were six of us, but we didn't end up feeling like we were there together as group due to not being able to be heard across the table.
We really like this place. Food is good with lots of specials. We have been there for lots of family get together and are never disappointed.
Great food which helps justify the higher than normal prices. Service is scattered, water glasses go empty, wine glasses grow cob webs waiting for refills. All in all, what it lacks in ambiance ot more than overcomes with the portion size. Bring your appetite
Our group of 4 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Food was excellent and service likewise. I highly recommend it.
We had our teenage daughters in town for 5 days. We were celebrating everything! Just a wonderful time and reminiscing about their little lives...
Appetizers, clams casino, bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms were perfect. I had salmon over lobster risotto, YUM excellent. Our Vegetarian 16 year old had the orecchiette with crab, shrimp and ? Forget the last one. She loved it. Yes, she does eat fish.... My husband and 18 yr old grand- daughter had the ravioli stuffed with lobster and other stuff in Cream vodka sauce plus they each added a lobster tail! Wow!
Delicious. The girls each had dessert... creme brûlée and raspberry swirl cheese cake. Not a crumb left!
You will not be disappointed... We live Castello’s.
Waited 1 hour for our entree. Complained extensively and the restaurant showed very little remorse. NEVER AGAIN for this place !
Very nice restaurant. Food choices galore! Lots of great specials.
Nice Dress attire.
Delicious food, well presented. Service was good and non-intrusive. Excellent blending of flavors. Will definitely come again
Outstanding food and service as always. Can’t wait to go back again soon.
Our family went to Castello’s for Easter dinner.
The good and service were outstanding. This is our third time there and on each occasion we have received outstanding service and the food is always delicious.
I would recommend it for all kinds of occasions.
3 out 4 of the dinners were great. The short ribs were chewy and the overall taste was not good. That meal was cold compared to the other 3 meals. But with that said the food is usually great. Unfortunately , not the short ribs.
The food was good but we watched everyone come in after us and get served and we just sat. Scott and Sam our servers did not respond to our complaint for waiting so long and Patrick was the one server that apologized and treated us with respect. The food was good and it didn’t appear to be a kitchen error because everyone else was served on a timely fashion, just our table of 4. Will probably not go back.
Enjoy meeting friends here. We always enjoy our meal and the good service.
Hidden gem! Food, service and ambiance were exceptional. Highly recommend and definitely will return.
Food was very good as usual but dining experience not enjoyable due to long wait. 15 min to prepare our table, 45 min to get our appetizer and more than 1/2 hr to get entree with no explanation or apology from waiter for delay. There was a feeling of stress and short staffing among staff which we felt. This has never happened when we’ve been here before but detracted from our enjoyment of our dinner.
The best seafood ravioli that I have ever had. Melted in your mouth.
Terrific food, wonderful expansive menu with lots of specials, great service and ambiance.
A plus that it is a BYOB! Obviously a well run establishment.
Terrible. Absolutely horrible
Wasn’t as good as last time. Our order didnt come out correctly and two of us had our main course about ten minutes before the other two came out.
Delicious food and a wonderful sraff. Our table was crowded but the overall experience was excellent
We were there for my son’s 28th bitrthday. There were eight of us. The food was amazing! The waiter was ok. Didn’t really see him much, but it seemed pretty busy for a Sunday night. We would definitely return because of the food and atmosphere was great!
Food is outstanding, great service. One note, while they do have a bar it is not a bar you can sit at. So if you are planning on showing up early to have a drink at the bar it might be tight.
Long lunch with friends, food and service very good.
As always we had a wonderful meal. The dover sole was delicious and can't wait to go back to have it again.
We have eaten there many times. Always great service and food. Also they let you bring your own wine even though they have a bar.
Castello at Blue Bell is outstanding. I have never had a bad meal, its delicious, favorful and consistently good. Best place to go locally for homemade fresh pasta.
We always enjoy our dinners. Service is efficient if a bit stiff. We have noted that the staff does seem to go a bit over the top for certain patrons....
In the past, we would order desserts which were delicious .However, they raised the price and the portions became smaller. We felt that a small sliver of cake for 9.00 was excessive .
I did mention this to our server. It was not about the price, but the size of the portion.
Their special selections are always exstensive and well prepared.
Very bad experience. Within 15 min of sitting we were asked if we made decisions on our meal. Felt rushed. Placed appetizer order and told them we had not decided on entrees, although we had but didn’t want to be rushed. We were told on Saturday it was their policy to place both. We gave both and requested to have them spaced. In less than 5 minutes appetizers were out. In less than 10 minutes from clearing the appetizer dishes, entrees were out. We had just received the bottle of wine we order and had not had the chance to pour it. I ordered Cowboy Ribeye, medium rare. It came out well. Requested the manager who had an attitude that we were bothering him. Also, the specials that were being told to the tables around us were not the same. When questioning this, we were told that the waiters were not reading them correctly. NOT A RECOMMENDATION OF OURS.
Too noisie couldn’t hear conversations at table. We had a table for 5.
Lovely setting with very attentive staff. Food was well prepared, excellent homemade pastas and great combination of flavors.
We always enjoy dining at Castello's. The service is excellent, friendly & attentive. I had the pollo franchise which is on the lunch menu but the kitchen had no problem with the switch. My husband had the hazelnut ravioli stuffed with 4 cheeses topped with scallops & shrimp in frangelica sauce. He really enjoyed it. One friend had the vegetable ravioli in tomato sauce. Another friend had the branzino. Both friends really enjoyed their meals. We've brought many friends here & they all enjoyed it. Being a BYO gets extra points but drinks are also available .
All fresh pasta dinners can be ordered as appetizers. Mushroom risotto was fabulous! Wine, appetizers, dinners & desserts were enjoyed by all; already planning to go back. Street signage difficult to see on dark rainy night, but well worth making that u-turn!
In spite of our friends cancelling due to weather, our evening was very pleasant. Food was terrific - many delicious specials, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Wonderful. Table was ready on time, hostess and wait staff checked to make certain our table was perfect. Promptly filled water glasses, brought fresh baked bread and a cruit of EVOO. BYOB works great along with their bar service and signature cocktails. Try the Roughy topped with crab and, this is one of the few restaurants serving Oslo Bucco. Desert, Pistaccio ice cream and Gelatti. Molto Bene’
We are never disappointed with Habib and his staff. We have been coming for years-hope they keep up the great work. BAck room was nice. Can be pricey-hope the quality continues.
My wife have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The food and service was excellent. We have brought family members who have also had a great experience and they have returned on other occasions as well.
We made reservations for the first time for Valentine's Day this year. It was my husband, myself and our 6 year old son. We were seated immediately and from the minute we walked in the door the staff was AMAZING!!!! Scott was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. Scott also interacted great with our son, and was able to offer him chicken fingers and fried which my son LOVED...LOL! I started with a bowl of the lobster bisque it was very good and not too heavy with cream. My husband, who is a Ceasar salad "snob"..LOL, ordered the Ceasar salad with their homemade dressing and he was pleased. I had the rigatoni with shrimp and scallops in the gorgonzola sauce....very good- the sauce, Scott's suggestion was a good choice. My husband went with the lobster ravioli which is said was very good. My husband ordered a bottle of Malbec wine, good choice! (FYI...they are not BYOB, but you can being your own wine or champagne and they won't charge a corking fee - I will keep that in mind for next time) For dessert my son and I shared the cake, sorry I forget the name, but it was chocolate mouse with a creme bruele filling...Yum! Overall, our first experience was awesome and all of the staff was exceptional and the owner should be proud to have this staff represent his establishment....Kudos!
Special menu for Valentine’s Day was a little pricey, but the entrees went beyond the usual fare and were excellent.
