Ristorante Castello at Blue Bell Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were very happy with our meals and the service which was quite friendly and personal. I would look for a table further from the entrance next time because every time the door opened I got a chill.
We will definitely return soon!
Great meal and service. This Friday evening they had at least 10 specials, maybe more. They needed a print out of all the specials to go with the menu. It was tough to remember all of the details of the specials and it took the waiter about 5 minutes to recite all of them. You didn't want the waiter to have to repeat them. Also, they have a full bar but do allow you to BYOB wine. Great meal.
Party of four and most were very happy with their appetizers and entrées. A couple of us went for menu items, a couple for the specials. Overall, the meal was great until the last 20 minutes where we sat idling for our server, who was very busy, to finally give us our check. The orange roughy was very good and The veal with prosciutto was not as good. Appreciated the ability to take dinner pasta options and reduce the size for appetizers. Our guests were both fans of the lobster ravioli and the hazelnut ravioli specials. Desserts were outstanding however the concept of ice cream and whip cream seemed to throw someone for a loop.
Food was excellent. Service was slow and disorganized. Our waiter seemed as though we were bothering him by just being there and asking if there were any specials. We had much better service from the other waitstaff when they brought out food and stopped to see how we were doing. Restaurant appears to cater to their regulars and the occasional diner is a nuisance.
We had been to a business dinner banquet at Ristorante Castello and wanted to try it when the full menu was available. There were lots of choices including specials. My wife had scallops that she said were delicious and I can say the same about the veal osso buco special. Everything was very tasty without being overly spicy. Service was very good, although there was a long wait for our soup (very tasty potato leek). Everything on the desert tray looked scrumptious and the chocolate brulee cake we had certainly was.
Most of the tables in our room were filled at one point on the Friday we dined and the noise level was moderate. People were obviously enjoying themselves, but conversations were still easily held and the tables are not too close together. Plenty of parking is another good attribute. We plan to dine here again in the future because the food we had was so good and there are so many appealing items on the menu.
This was my second time eating here and the Food was great. The part the surprised me was the high priced specials. Some of them were $10 to $20 higher than the regular menu items. They did not state the prices of the specials and I would assume they would be a little higher but $20 more than the regular menu items felt like they were trying trick you. I would still go back but with eyes open to specials and will ask the cost in the future.
This was our fourth time here and first for our family and as usual...everything was wonderful! This is our favorite restaurant and it is such a treat each time we visit! The food is top notch and everything else too. We did sit in the larger room this time and noticed that it is a bit noisier than the other smaller room, but not that big of a deal to deter me from returning. Keep up the great service and food and we'll gladly be there to enjoy it! Thank you Castellos!! =)
It was a good experience overall, however, I cut my lip on a chipped wine glass. I told the waiter and he gasped, "OMG! I'm going to go tell my boss." And then I never heard another peep about it. I thought at the very least someone would come over to talk to me about it but nothing! So strange!
Also, $9 desserts were eh.
This was the third time we visited and we won't be returning after we were asked to leave the restaurant at 8:02 pm because another party had reserved the table for 8:30!!! In addition, this was the second time we specifically requested a particular table when we made our reservation on Open Table and were told when we arrived that that table was unavailable because it was reserved. Then why didn't you call and let us know? Besides, we were disappointed with the food on our second visit and it wasn't so great this time. We did request to speak to the manager but the person who asked us to leave said he was in charge. So the problem is the manager.
I have been to this restaurant several times in the past and I always had a good experience. The food is very good and the service is usually also good, but on this visit it was slow to the point we kept following up with the waiter to get our food and drinks. This was our first bad experience at this restaurant and I will go back to check it out again. Normally it is very good!
Was recommended to us and went for a nice Sunday night Italian Dinner. It's a shame you can't see it from the road because you wouldn't know it is there. But maybe that is good so I can keep the secret to myself and pass it on to my friends. The staff was very friendly which only made the food even more delicious. What we had was well prepared, tasted so fresh and so well done. We all want to go back and try something else from the extensive menu. If you can find it...GO!! It's definitley worth the drive!!
