We were there for my son’s 28th bitrthday. There were eight of us. The food was amazing! The waiter was ok. Didn’t really see him much, but it seemed pretty busy for a Sunday night. We would definitely return because of the food and atmosphere was great!
Food is outstanding, great service. One note, while they do have a bar it is not a bar you can sit at. So if you are planning on showing up early to have a drink at the bar it might be tight.
Long lunch with friends, food and service very good.
As always we had a wonderful meal. The dover sole was delicious and can't wait to go back to have it again.
We have eaten there many times. Always great service and food. Also they let you bring your own wine even though they have a bar.
Castello at Blue Bell is outstanding. I have never had a bad meal, its delicious, favorful and consistently good. Best place to go locally for homemade fresh pasta.
We always enjoy our dinners. Service is efficient if a bit stiff. We have noted that the staff does seem to go a bit over the top for certain patrons....
In the past, we would order desserts which were delicious .However, they raised the price and the portions became smaller. We felt that a small sliver of cake for 9.00 was excessive .
I did mention this to our server. It was not about the price, but the size of the portion.
Their special selections are always exstensive and well prepared.
Very bad experience. Within 15 min of sitting we were asked if we made decisions on our meal. Felt rushed. Placed appetizer order and told them we had not decided on entrees, although we had but didn’t want to be rushed. We were told on Saturday it was their policy to place both. We gave both and requested to have them spaced. In less than 5 minutes appetizers were out. In less than 10 minutes from clearing the appetizer dishes, entrees were out. We had just received the bottle of wine we order and had not had the chance to pour it. I ordered Cowboy Ribeye, medium rare. It came out well. Requested the manager who had an attitude that we were bothering him. Also, the specials that were being told to the tables around us were not the same. When questioning this, we were told that the waiters were not reading them correctly. NOT A RECOMMENDATION OF OURS.
Too noisie couldn’t hear conversations at table. We had a table for 5.
Lovely setting with very attentive staff. Food was well prepared, excellent homemade pastas and great combination of flavors.
We always enjoy dining at Castello's. The service is excellent, friendly & attentive. I had the pollo franchise which is on the lunch menu but the kitchen had no problem with the switch. My husband had the hazelnut ravioli stuffed with 4 cheeses topped with scallops & shrimp in frangelica sauce. He really enjoyed it. One friend had the vegetable ravioli in tomato sauce. Another friend had the branzino. Both friends really enjoyed their meals. We've brought many friends here & they all enjoyed it. Being a BYO gets extra points but drinks are also available .
All fresh pasta dinners can be ordered as appetizers. Mushroom risotto was fabulous! Wine, appetizers, dinners & desserts were enjoyed by all; already planning to go back. Street signage difficult to see on dark rainy night, but well worth making that u-turn!
In spite of our friends cancelling due to weather, our evening was very pleasant. Food was terrific - many delicious specials, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Wonderful. Table was ready on time, hostess and wait staff checked to make certain our table was perfect. Promptly filled water glasses, brought fresh baked bread and a cruit of EVOO. BYOB works great along with their bar service and signature cocktails. Try the Roughy topped with crab and, this is one of the few restaurants serving Oslo Bucco. Desert, Pistaccio ice cream and Gelatti. Molto Bene’
We are never disappointed with Habib and his staff. We have been coming for years-hope they keep up the great work. BAck room was nice. Can be pricey-hope the quality continues.
My wife have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The food and service was excellent. We have brought family members who have also had a great experience and they have returned on other occasions as well.
We made reservations for the first time for Valentine's Day this year. It was my husband, myself and our 6 year old son. We were seated immediately and from the minute we walked in the door the staff was AMAZING!!!! Scott was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. Scott also interacted great with our son, and was able to offer him chicken fingers and fried which my son LOVED...LOL! I started with a bowl of the lobster bisque it was very good and not too heavy with cream. My husband, who is a Ceasar salad "snob"..LOL, ordered the Ceasar salad with their homemade dressing and he was pleased. I had the rigatoni with shrimp and scallops in the gorgonzola sauce....very good- the sauce, Scott's suggestion was a good choice. My husband went with the lobster ravioli which is said was very good. My husband ordered a bottle of Malbec wine, good choice! (FYI...they are not BYOB, but you can being your own wine or champagne and they won't charge a corking fee - I will keep that in mind for next time) For dessert my son and I shared the cake, sorry I forget the name, but it was chocolate mouse with a creme bruele filling...Yum! Overall, our first experience was awesome and all of the staff was exceptional and the owner should be proud to have this staff represent his establishment....Kudos!
Special menu for Valentine’s Day was a little pricey, but the entrees went beyond the usual fare and were excellent.
Always a good choice! Delicious food in a nice, friendly atmosphere. Castello has marvelous servers!
it was noise, the glassware was dirty. The young waiter hands were in my food and in my glass when seriving. Food was just ok. Been here quite often and it was not good.
Always enjoy this restaurant . BYOB option and quality food
As usual, Castello's was on top of their game. Oysters Rockefeller were perfect. Service outstanding. Great variety of fish dishes.
The food and service was exceptional, as always. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant. Will definitely return.
Excellent in every way for a great experience.
I would have given a higher overall rating if the service was better. We were seated right away and our server came right over. For some reason they switched servers...which I don't like when that's done, especially when the new waiter comes up and doesn't tell you why. After we placed our orders the service dropped. The place started to empty out and we were clearly done our dinner but sat with our dirty plates in front of us for quite some time. I even moved my plate to a cleared table behind us to let them know. Someone picked up that plate but no one mentioned sorry for the delay. We had to ask to have our water glasses to be refilled and no one came by asking if we would like more coffee. Overall the food was good but not certain we'll go back. Would prefer going to Panache up the road.
Food and service we're both excellent. We will definitely go back again.
Very nice overall. We were last to leave but not rushed at all.
We’re frequent diners at Castello’s sister restaurant, Panache, so we thought we’d try this for my husband’s birthday. We both enjoyed it very much and we’ll definitely return. It’s a BYOB which we didn’t know, but they have alcohol too so no worries there. Veal with crabmeat was exceptional. Tender and great tasting. We had the artichoke app which was superb. Kudos to Sam, our server, who we knew from Panache. Very friendly and accommodating.
A great restaurant, always excellent service and consistently good food. Can be a little pricey...but mostly worth it.
Great food, very generous portions, and good service. Tables a little too close (I got tired of hearing about prostate cancer treatments). My real complaint was that the chef was not willing to make something special but relatively simple for me (my birthday) despite my stopping by the restaurant 4-5 hours early to describe what I wanted. Apparently, the chef felt that what I had requested was “beneath “ his creative side (melon wrapped in prosciutto was ok).
We like trying new places, and were pretty excited to get a gift card that could be used at either Pinache or Ristorante Castello for Christmas. We often have date nights in Blue Bell, and this was our first time visiting Castello. After the Eagles won this past Saturday, we decided to venture out for dinner as we had a night free of our children. I went online to make a reservation and saw there had been 9:15, 9:30, 9:45 & 10:00 options. We live 40 minutes away, so we chose the 9:45 slot to be safe, and arrived a little early. When we walked in the door, we were taken to our table immediately. Our server went over all of the specials in a manner that was less than inviting. Before we even picked up our menu, he asked if we'd like to get our order in from the specials because the cook would be leaving and he had to get the order in quickly. I asked if we could review the menu for a moment, and requested a wine list. Displeased, he brought the wine list and stood there waiting for my order. Without a glance, I just asked for a bottle of Cabernet, so I could breathe for a moment. While I was looking at the menu, he stood at the table, hovering with an impatience about him. I made a quick selection so as not to take a moment too long, and immediately regretted the rush. In my hurry, I did not order something I was very much interested in having. I feel as though these reservation times should not be made available if a guest is to be rushed in making a selection. This leads to uncomfortable, rushed dining. We were not the last table to leave, and did not feel very welcome. In my opinion, the food was par for a lower cost, casual dining experience. This may only be due to the cook ending his evening. While this experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I will give the benefit of suggesting that it may have been different if the reservation times were not made into the closing hour of the restaurant. Thank you.
Everything was a 10 except for the chocolate peanut butter cake. That was a bit on the drier side. Our entrees (veal and lamb) and service were excellent as always.
Fish tasted frozen. Crab meat was in too much mayo. Servers were very good.
The food was great, and the service is top notch. Will go again.
This was my first time dining at Ristorante Castello, the service was friendly and the specials were explained in detail. The noise level was very good and made conversation easy. Our entire party was very happy with their meals and would return.
Our experience at Castello's was good with the exception of the service. Our waiter Sam was excellent, however I rated the service as poor because Sam did not have any help. We were a party of 11 so either management did not care or did not plan accordingly.
The bread baskets sat empty and so did our water glasses. We sat for quite a while after dinner without anyone clearing the table. Sam noticed this and promptly cleared our plates himself so we could have coffee and dessert. A bus boy was around (with a less than cheerful attitude), and my husband observed him on his personal phone more than off. It never ceases to amaze me how management (non-existant) and other employees can stand around and watch a coworker struggle.
When a restaurant is priced like Castello's, you expect to receive service accordingly.
John our waiter was excellent. So very welcoming. He listened to everyone and made them feel welcomed to the restaurant.
The food selection, quality and service were all five star.
We will be back.
Dinner with daughter who was home for the holidays.
