I loved the ambiance and the man playing the accordion
One of the best meals ever!! We have traveled extensively including Italy and this was one of the most delicious meals for all 3 of us. The mushroom and polenta appetizer was original and flavorful. The bread was soft and tapenade was a different taste unique and tasty. We each had a different pasta see pix and they were all delicious I doubt there is a bad meal on the menu. And it's a beautiful restaurant. Will definitely come back when in Napa next.
Wonderful dinner. Service was great. Delana's recommendations were spot on. Wife and I had pasta dishes that were great. Our son had filet which was done perfect.
Best bread pudding we have ever had. There are lots "name" restaurants in Napa Valley we have enjoyed, but this is one of the best dining experiences we have had there. This will be on the list each time we go back.
Excellent food and wine. Great location and walking distance from the Napa River Inn.
Overall wonderful experience
My husband and I were in Napa for an impromptu getaway and happened on Ristorante Allegria. Upon entering we were greeted by beautiful live accordion music and the wonderful experience continued from there. We will absolutely be back!!
Alabama vs Clemson
We are constantly pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at Allegria. In particular, they have two homemade pastas that are exceptional: The pappardelle and the ravioli.
The salmon is also excellent.
And if you like polenta, try a side of the polenta with meat sauce.
Always a great meal for great price in the Napa
Valley. Seating upstairs is a lot quieter than down so we always request it. Staff is so friendly and know their menu well.
Food was delicious, service was excellent, especially the hostess, she moved us to another table to make sure we were comfortable! We celebrating 2 birthdays and had a wonderful time!
Everything was great but no there was hot water in restrooms.
We enjoyed the teriyaki steak and chicken pasta dish. Will go back
Felt like the server was rushing us. We were still eating but already gave us our bill without us asking for it. Very poor experience.
greeted with manager on the phone trying to make a reservation for someone, once he hung up he didnt even acknowledge us.... food was ok, restaurant very loud with accordian player. overall only ok experience. would not go back.
The meal although delicious felt extremely rushed. Otherwise it was a great evening. Shout out to the knowledgeable bar tender.
The food was average at best.
Meat was over cooked. Service was fast though.
Camille was the best server. Halibut and filet mignon 5 star. Great wine list with reasonable prices
New Years Eve Dinner!
Came for NYE at the last minute and was able to get squeezed in for 3 (husband/wife/child). Glad we found this spot as it was lively and fun with a balanced menu. Service was quick and attentive. Food came out fast and was great. Mix of couples and families - the dynamic was appropriate for both without either leaving unhappy or annoyed. Would come back again for sure.
We loved it. Our time was limited so service was crucial. We were not disappointed. Likewise the food and wine options were terrific.
The service was great. Very attentive and helpful. The food was great as well. Ordered rigatoni and it was a perfect size. Their complimentary bread was great as well but the onion spread for the bread was a little weird.
This was our first time dining at Ristorante Allegria and it was an excellent experience. Great location in downtown Napa. Beautiful inside. Great service and delicious food. Will definitely be back when craving Italian food.
WE WERE GIVEN A SMALL UPSTAIRS TABLE NEAR THE KITCHEN. LOTS OF NOISE FROM LOTS OF CHILDREN. WILL NEVER SIT UPSTAIRS AGAIN.
The bolognese was excellent. Steak appetizer was delicious. Service was excellent. Requested a particular drink and the bartender came out to explain, very graciously, why they couldn't make it (contained eggs) and to offer an alternative. Beautiful surroundings. Overall lovely experience.
Great service, delicious food that could have been better if served warmer.
I was recommended this restaurant by friends and this was the 1 place I chose to have dinner on my Napa trip. I arrived and my party went from 2-1 as she enjoyed a little to much wine during the day. I was greeted for my 7:30 reservation and I explained this. I was told no problem and that perhaps I would be best to sit at the bar. I looked at the crowded, loud bar area and stated I didn't see much room there. A hostess walked to the bar and said she had found a spot. The spot was very cramped and people were hovering over me to order drinks. I explained I preferred a table as I was looking for a relaxing meal where I wasn't having strangers constantly bump into me. At 8:10 they stated my table was ready. I was taken to the 3rd level along with a party of 8. I was sat at a table in the corner. I watched as other tables were greeted warmly and explained the soup and evening specials. Later on my server approached me with no expression and asked me what I wanted to drink to which I responded. I then watched her greet another newly sat table with a warm greeting and the specials were explained to them. After she brought me my drink she asked me if I was ready to order. I ordered the minestrone and Caesar salad which literally was brought to my table in like 2 minutes. After finishing she asked me "if I wanted anything else" I stated the spicy seafood pasta dish. It too came to the table in 2 minutes. There was 1 shrimp, a ton of white fish which was very dry and a few mussels and clams. Very disappointing experience, I felt exactly like I was which is someone from out of town that was unknown and apparently a hinderance. I was really disappointed in this experience, definitely wont go back, and also wont be recommending this place to my friends who are in the area visiting while assisting the Camp fire victims.
My wife and I came to Napa for a quick weekend getaway. We were very impressed that we could make same day dinner reservation and the hostess was right on with the wait time. We only waited 15 minutes for a table and enjoyed a drink at their large and nice bar. We had a great time and the food was amazing. Bread pudding was on point for dessert.
Christmas Eve was amazing at Allegria because the food, service and ambiance was spot on! Thanks for a great memory and experience.
Staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was very good, ambiance festive for a Christmas Eve dinner.
Christmas Eve on 12/24/2018. Came in at 5p and it was pretty quiet. Got a table and within 30 minutes the place was packed. Very good experience. I had the rigatoni with sausage and peppers, and wife had crab bisque and arugula salad. My rigatoni was so awesome, as I have not experienced the cream sauce instead of the normal red sauce. This was extremely well prepared. Wife loved the bisque, and was impressed with the salad. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas Eve. This really helped our vacation!
Lovely Ritchie was an excellent waiter. Very nice. Good food
I'll admit to a bias, as this has been a favorite of mine for over 8 years. That being said, on this particular day, everything seemed to come together: from the warm reception of the hostess, to the timing and attentiveness of the server, to the food.
Its why I keep coming back...
A lovely restaurant - friendly and efficient servers - delicious eats!
Allegria is such a great atmosphere. The food was very good. The veal was just ok but the Tartar and the aruigella salad were outstanding. The mushroom ravioli were great and the sauce was outstanding as was the sauteed corn. I wish they would update their menu some with more fresh vegetable dishes. I will continue to visit
Entree special (swordfish) was good; wild mushroom ravioli was not so good - ravioli were hard around the edges, so many mushrooms in sauce covering ravioli that it was difficult to see that there were only 4 ravioli that were 2 bites each. Service was sketchy - server took our bread plates before we'd finished with the bread and dipping sauce - asked for another bread plate, got it & it was taken away again before we finished the bread and our meal. Server put a used knife back on the table instead of bringing a clean knife (difference between a "fine" dining restaurant and just a restaurant). Reservation was for 6:30 - felt rushed even though by 7:30 there were empty tables. Probably won't go back for a while - and will recommend with reservations to anyone who asks.
This place is fantastic seriously the best Italian food I’ve ever had in Northern California would highly recommend to everyone
Always a great experience. A definite must every time we visit Napa.
Food was good, some reasonable dishes along with some I felt was overpriced for what was received. Service had much to be desired, our sever barely cracked a smile and at one point even made a rude remark to the table. Not acceptable for this caliber of restaurant.
The restaurant staff was kind and helpful. After a delicious meal, they allowed us to sit and visit without trying to move us along. It’s the holiday season where folks come together to catch up and renew relationships. Just loved the restaurant!
I was looking for a good restaurant that was close to Blue Note Napa, and Ristorante Allegro is just around the corner from them. We have been there three times so far, and the food, service and ambiance are great! On our latest visit, we were seated near the front door, and the cold wind from the outside kept coming up in!
