Very busy, food was great. I was in a party of 3 and asked for a table by the balcony rail, we were sat next to a waiter station against a wall at a booth that could have sat 6. The hostess told us the table we wanted was for a party of 6, they subsequently sat a party of 4. They could have done better by us. The food and ambiance was amazing so thanks was made only complaint. We were out of towners so it would have been exceptional memorable had they accommodated.

Good service and fairly priced. Two of us had the pasta and the sauce was bland. In general...it is a large restaurant and serves many...so it is more oriented to serving in "bulk". Good food not great.

My husband and I were in town for a show at the Uptown Theatre. We had an early dinner at Ristorante Allegra. Our dinner was very enjoyable, delicious appetizer, pasta dishes, wine, but most of all we had the sweetest server who added to our evening. Ashley was delightful and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. She took some time to give us a little history about the restaurant and the the theatre . She was very attentive and we never felt overlooked. It was a great start to our evening in Napa. We will go back and definitely ask for Ashley!!!

We enjoyed a great lunch, I ordered the fixed price three course special with the skirt steak. It was pretty rare for me, so I sent it back, and received a quickly corrected dish, beautifully arranged on the clean plate. Perfect, and superb service. This is a nice local place for lunch, with tasty salads and pasta. I highly recommend, and it is consistent with food quality and service.

Valentine’s Day dinner. Much more expensive than usual, since we are local, we know the difference, but overall still a great experience.

Looked at on line menu and thought prices were good!
Arrived and was presented with a Valentine Special menu and MOST items were $2-$3 more than normal menu!
Price gouging at its best was absolute....”never again”

Good. Perhaps it was a limited menu for Valentine's day. Food came out very fast which led us to believe that it was pre-made. Portion was of a nice size. Bread was nothing special. Olive oil dipping sauce was way to strong of red onion. Service was professional and very good.

The service was outstanding! The saffron pappardelle was absolutely delicious!! The only negative was that the Filet Mignon I ordered was over cooked, medium instead of medium- rare. I did send it back and they were very accommodating.

Sat on the patio in mid-February and it was wonderful. Quiet, peaceful and relaxed. Service was attentive yet unrushed. Bruschetta was tasty and ample for 4. We all had a different entree - fish special, seafood pasta, chicken and Alfredo pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meal!
We will return!

Wife loved her pasta dish with shrimp. I thought my skirt steak was okay but not much more. Both were waiter recommendations. Go for the Rombauer Zinfandel. That was the real treat for me!

One of my favorite restaurants in Napa. I live here and get a chance to sample all of the high quality places here. I almost hate to give a good review, so it won't be super crowded in the future, but it is already busy. Make reservations when possible, but sitting at the bar is fun too. I recommend the Napa Cabbage salad, only place in town that you can get it and definitely one of the best items on the menu.

Last time we were there for dinner it was just okay so we didn't go back for a few years. We thought we would give it another try and it was worth the trip. Our server was spot on and the food was great. We are locals and will be back.

Not our first time here. We like the atmosphere.
Service was great.
Salads were delicious.
One entree was very good. Another was only so-so.
Prices are reasonable -- especially for Napa, which can get ridiculously pricey.
Would recommend.

The food here has been disappointing on my the last 2 visits. Not bad - just plain, uninspired & lacks authenticity. That wasn’t always the case, but as of late what comes out of the kitchen seems tired & mundane.

Very very very loud ! Very crowded and tables set almost touching the next table with little room to move about. Waiters bumping into each other busy bar narrow pass through to get to restroom. Only one toilet for a place that has an upstairs and downstairs full of crammed in diners. Food delicious not sure if I would recommend it however. For food definitely. For ambiance not unless it doesn’t bother you to not hear anyone in your group talking. Noise level beyond acceptable.

We were visiting Napa for the weekend and decided to try Allegria. There was standing room only in the bar as they were very busy. We managed to order a cocktail which was okay but not worth $11. A couple we talked to at the bar while waiting for our table (we arrived early for a 7:30 reservation) recommended the cabbage salad. We were seated on time! Our server was very nice, described the special and we asked her for wine suggestions. We ordered a bottle of wine our server suggested and it was very nice. We tried the cabbage salad as recommended. We both felt we would have rather had a traditional salad or Caesar salad as the vinegar in the dressing was much too prominent for our taste. For our second course, we ordered the Pappardelle Allo Zafferano. It was delicious, however, I was disappointed in the prawns; only four in the dish and they were not JUMBO sized! For the third course we ordered the Vitello Piccata. The presentation was lovely, it was served piping hot and the lemon caper white wine sauce was amazing. The restaurant was full so it was a bit noisy for intimate conversation. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will return on our next visit to Napa.

Wonderful Italian Food! This is not our first visit but this time, we shared a pasta dish as well as a meat dish so we could each try them both. We thoroughly enjoyed the Rigatoni made with sausage & bell pepper in a light cream marinara. So full of flavor & very nice. Then we shared the "Vitello Piccata" (Veal Piccata) , which was delightful! And then, just for good measure we had chocolate gelato & it was authentic & decadent! Great meal. We love the old bank building that the restaurant is in. They even have a table set in the old bank vault - pretty cool! It is a really beautiful setting & has a nice bar as well.

My entire family loves thus place. The menu doesn't change much because every thing on it is good. The portions are large so it's worth sharing salads and pastas if you don't eat big plates normally. Excellent bonus is that they offer local wines from boutique wineries like Jamieson Ranch which are delightful.
