One of our favorite Napa restaurants. it always delivers on good food and on good service. A favorite for Italian food as well. Highly recommended!
ehhh.... A 5:30 reservation is met with a bit of confusion and straight up goofiness by the obviously new hostess and more curious manager who obviously wasn't going to step in and help the situation. Ultimately seated and after a long wait, things begin to roll. the Manhattan wasn't terribly good, but the blood orange martini was solid. Wine obviously fine. Once service begin, things rolled along, but it was nothing special. the building is insanely beautiful but the vibe didn't feel very fun. too formal, italian for my tastes. I had the rigatoni with sausage and peppers but at over 20 bucks a plate it was nothing I couldn't easily make at home.
the pesto gnocchi was fine but really, just that fine. They do what they do well but it wasn't a place Id want to spend that much given much more hip and fun options in the area.
Food is amazing! Enjoyable and friendly service. Nice ambiance. The filet was perfectly done - it has turned me into a steak snob. I am setting myself up for disappointment when I have steak elsewhere. It is that good! And the bread pudding is to die for! Everything was done to perfection. We will be coming back soon!
Food was bland they rushed us for no reason
Sat upstairs plenty of open tables
Waiter was the best part of night. Nice guy attentive but appetizers came out then dinner in five minutes after. Both of us had pasta dishes and both were very bland
East Coast visitors from north jersey
Visiting Napa. Little disappointed since Open Table gave over 4 Stars
The reviews don't lie. What a great restaurant! We enjoyed the entire meal, our server was delightful, and it was a nice relaxed dining pace. Wonderful! We will be back.
A terrific meal. My wife had pappardelle with a shrimp bisque for her sauce. Her pasta was very fresh. She felt this was the best pasta combo she has had in years. I had a well-aged steak filet, which was perfectly seasoned for me and was cooked a perfect medium rare. One of the two best steaks I had in the last few months.
The noise level was high & hard to hear even in the booth. My food was just okay.
Simply a great Italian venue in a quaint repurposed bank. Tender veal piccata and mouth watering angel hair basil pasta & tomatoes. Good wine variety as we chose a Sangiovese to pair with our entrees. Excellent cappuccino and home made bread pudding to top it off. Highly recommended
The service was very slow.
The food was k nothing out of the ordinary
Amazing Gnocchi! if you're looking for Italian food in Napa Valley, this is the place. My husband and I came here with friends a couple of years ago and it was every bit as good as I remembered it to be.
The next time we're in the Valley, this restaurant will be the first on our list. Excellent food and perfect service!
Delicious meal in a quaint setting. Best to book early for dinner seating as it fills up fast.
Food was phenomenal. The specials were unique. The service seemed a bit taxed. Bottles of wine at 30% off that you could take with is a neat idea.
Food was excellent and service was great.
Fantastic food and service. Wait staff was exceptional. Friendly and inviting atmosphere
Love this place first time to Napa and this was our first dining experience. Food was delicious and loved the accordion player that night.
Allegia is certainly a go to destination! The food is delicious, the drinks are perfect and the wait staff is unbelievably attentive. Our dining experience was a delight! Restaurante Allegria is definately a Napa Gem! Lovely for lunch and dinner.
I’ve had better tomato sauce out of a jar. Service was slow but server was very pleasant.
The food was flavorful and beautiful on the plate. The service was just the right of attention to our needs during the course of the meal. I highly recommend Ristorante Allegria for any special occasion.
Experience was great! Great service, fabulous food and drinks! Luis was great!
The server we had had a sister who also worked there. She was phenomenal! She made our experience amazing! Super personable
Just ok.....bread was not baked in-house and gnocchi pesto pasta with grilled chicken was bland. Wanted so much more from this restaurant. Cool that the restaurant use to be a bank!
The cartridge was great, but they didn't deliver to my door like I requested
This was my third visit to the restaurant since Oct. 2017 and I have zero complaints. Oct was business with small group and Sept. 2018 a "girls weekend". All total 17 people and all thought the restaurant was a great find and would return when in Napa. The menu is varied, authentic, exceptional. All servers have been professional and friendly. If you find a great bottle of wine while roaming the vineyards they have a nominal corkage fee. The detail of the older building is unique, the small corners and windows add charm, the art work is displayed well.
Service was good, but food was mediocre. Price was on the higher side for that quality.
Amazing food and service.
Our servers were excellent!!! The food was outstanding. We were seated upstairs. After we were there for a bit a large party came in with 4 young kids and they got rather loud and it was disturbing. But, for the majority of the time it was a very pleasant experience.
Excellent food. Highly recommend. Service was a tad bit off and slow. But would recommend for any occasion.
Beat meal we had on our 9 days in California. Nice ambiance, great service. The linguini Vongole was amazing
I felt I was back in Italy. The bread dip was so good I thought my husband might lick the bowl. The mushrooms on my pappardelle were perfect.
My wife and I enjoyed the food and drinks .. it was my wife’s birthday and you guys treated her like my real queen.. thank you so much
Beautiful Italian food in downtown Napa - amazing main courses, 2 different pastas, both great. Special mention for the bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar/basil/onion at the start, what a treat!
Beautiful space, subpar food and service. Wife asked to substitute pappardelle noodles for spaghetti noodles with the ragu, and was told “no problem”. When the bill came, there was a $10 charge for the pappardelle. Really? They’re both simple pasta noodles and why wouldn’t the waiter mention this at the time we ordered? Waiter said the manager told him to add the charge and he refused to take it off - so we just adjusted the tip accordingly.
Not many Italian choices on the menu considering it’s an Italian restaurant. I settled for rotisserie chicken which was passable.
There are several great Italian restaurants in the Valley, I’d advise you to choose one of those and pass on Allegria.
We loved the food and wine; there were definitely plenty of options. And we felt like we were back in Italy! However, we had to wait a while even though we made a reservation; parties that arrived after us without a reservation were seated before us. And our waitress seemed checked-out a bit, and it took forever to get our check. Otherwise, the food was very good.
Great service, tasty drinks, reasonable pricing. The restaurant is in a historical bank building. Very cool!
The one negative I have: the dipping sauce for the bread was hard to take more than one dipping. It’s full of raw onions- the onion taste was so overwhelming.
We were vacationing in Napa Valley. We asked for a recommendation from our hotel "Old World Inn" that would be in walking distance. The food was very good. Very nice selection of wines. Great service. We would go back again.!!
Meh, it's ok. Not great. I ended up having the burger which was ok, but the actual italian food is nothing to write home about. Wife had the burrata ravioli special which was dry and chewy somehow. Service was fair, it took reservations.
Another fantastic experience. The grilled salmon and fillet mignon were prepared to perfection
Waitress Alexis was wonderful! Enjoyed every bite!
Very nice experience, despite being out of first selection on wine list, Shafer Hillside Select Cab.
Our fav spot in Napa. Food and service are always top notch!
