Food was great! The penne chicken was a big portion and delish. Husband wasn't a fan of the spaghetti. They surprised us with a dessert for our anniversary.
One of my favorite restaurants in Downtown Napa. I've never had a bad meal.
The food was wonderful and my waiter was so muc more than helpful, I wish I could remember his name, the ambiance is amazing as well. Celebrated my anniversary there and my waiter knew to bring us champagne!
It was great as always ! Had cabbage salad and Veal Picata which was very good !
Great home style Italian Food. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. Warm, friendly atmosphere and service. We always enjoy dinner at Allegria.
Bad service...inattentive and rushed....food ordinary....and they really didn’t care!
Outstanding dinner with friends! Pasta dished were all great. Wine priced reasonably plus waived the $20 corkage fee with each bottle purchased from wine list. Excellent and friendly service.
Great place for any occasion. I always eat here on my way to Napa. Excellent service from Ritchie!
Would not go again. $170 for dinner on a friday night, 1/2 bottle of wine is way out of line for a very average meal, service was fine, but overall felt like we were just getting pushed thru a food mill.
Food is consistently good. Wish they didn't have the bad accordian player on Wednesday nights. Service is wonderful.
The waiter was excellent. Very attentive. Food was good, well seasoned. Portion sizes are very large. Glass ware, silver ware and plates could use some updating. Also on entree splits, it would be a nice courtesy or extra charge for the restaurant to split the meal for you so you don’t make a big sloppy mess amdoing on your own.
Everyone really enjoyed their food. Service was rushed. Our server seemed always anxious to get away and seemed distracted. Perhaps he had too many tables assigned to him.
Disappointing. The menu on Open Table is quite outdated, dishes were missing and prices had gone up appreciatively, so not accurate. Our meal was bland, and under seasoned. Pasta dishes were fair, thought it a little odd that their signature dish (in an Italian restaurant) was teriyaki skirt steak with onion rings. Would not recommend.
This is our favorite Italian restaurant in downtown Napa. We have eaten there many times and every time is perfect. The food, service and staff are the best. We will be back soon.
Nice place. pasta was average
Great spot with two issues: parking and noise level. Took my senior citizen parents and no place to park nearby or valet or even legal drop off spot. They wear hearing aids and couldn’t hear each other with the noise level. Service was timely and professional. Food was a bit salty but tasty.
Except for your increase in prices for lunch and wine--all higher than shown on the on- line menu,-- we were happy with the service and quality of the food. The dessert for my birthday friend was not as impressive as I remember from long ago.
You do have a great location and ambiance.
Allegria is always a great experience. Thanks on this occasion to Erica who took care of us.
best bread pudding!
Food was outstanding! Service great, the space is perfectly done. One of the highlights of our Napa trip!
We felt rushed. It was date night we weren’t in a hurry. They were trying to take our plates before we were finished eating
We were late for the reservation due to traffic, but we were seated promptly on a busy Saturday night. The meal we had was wonderful, with very generous portions. Gluten free pasta is available. I will definitely drive to Napa to visit this gem again and again!
Was really excited to try this restaurant before a concert at the Uptown Theater with a 6pm reservation. I was immediately disappointed when seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant directly in traffic of the servers even though we had a reservation. Our server was friendly and attentive. While my dish (linguine with clam sauce) was cooked correctly and quite tasty, the mashed potatoes and broccoli included with my friend's steak were served cold - very unacceptable for a $36 dish. The server returned the dish to the kitchen upon request, but we could not help but wonder if the potatoes and broccoli where simply reheated in the microwave oven. Overall, unfortunately I would not recommend the restaurant.
Really wanted to like this place after reading all of the reviews. Unfortunately, the food was just not very good. I ordered the homemade pappardelle w/ shrimp and even after dousing it with salt and pepper, it was still very bland. My husband got a rigatoni dish, that he enjoyed, but it was nothing special. Overall, for the price and wait, I didn't find it worthwhile.
Excellent Italian cuisine in a converted bank.
Birthday dinner. Server was great. Food was not up to par with all the great reviews I read about. Everything tasted bland and pasta and filet mignon was tougher than I'm used to. They do offer free birthday sorbet so that was nice.
Very impressed with everything from cocktails to desert. Great multi level layout so doesn't feel crowded. Service and food were excellent. Highly recommend
Beautiful room. Seated promptly at a good table. Good bread . Prompt bar order. Split a Caesar salad per request. Had to get up and ask for fork. Entree was good but drenched in heavy sauce. Would go again and try for another selection. Highly recommended by locals
The mushroom ravioli was amazing. Fully recommend.
The space was beautiful and the staff professional. We had an early dinner and so not too crowded, not too loud. We were able to enjoy the ambiance and each other’s conversation.
Great place for dinner in Napa.
First time here, and was very pleased. Friendly service (Alexa), and support staff, ambience, food, location. Very nice interior, makes you feel like you are in Italy. The outdoor patio looked a nice place to dine.
Overall a decent Italian dinner. We have been here a few times, and this was probably the least favorite of our visits. The food was nothing special to write home about: gnocchi and veal. It was good but you could probably go to any Italian restaurant for this. The gnocchi was very gummy and the chicken add on was just an after-thought, being added to the top. It would've been nice if they mixed the chicken into the dish and added more sauce. The veal was good. The bread and oil/onion dip is always a favorite. We didn't have dessert this time though we marked the reservation as a birthday occasion. Our server was excellent otherwise. Being seated by the bar is very noisy and our booth was a bit claustrophobic since there's not much space for you in the seat before the table is right in front of you. This would be very uncomfortable for plus size customers. I would come again someday but not anytime soon nor would I recommend to others unless they want Italian in Napa. Many other restaurants are recommended over this one.
We visit each trip to Napa and usually enjoy dinner at the bar. However, this visit, we sat there totally ignored for at least 10 minutes as the bartender continued to walk right by us, not saying hello or acknowledging us. It was ridiculous. Rather than give him our business and a tip, we got up, left and sat at a table where we received great service. We've never had this experience at the bar there and hope we don't in the future. Very disappointing.
food was average, special our night was Ahi tuna dish and it was very bland. service was barely average, VERY loud, accustics are poor, felt like I was in a sports bar...not what I was expecting
Delicious food and our server was so nice. Had an amazing date night with my girlfriend.
I called to confirmed my reservation and told the hostess it was my wife’s birthday, the hostess said she will let the staff know.
We arrived and was seated within 15 mins. The atmosphere was a little chaotic granted it was a busy Friday night. Our waitress was great, no complaints there. Our food was very bland. Maybe it’s just us but we had to add salt, pepper and chili even then it lacked flavor. After I squared away the bill I asked our waitress if they did anything special for birthdays. She said of course we do, I told her I called that day to let you guys know it’s my wife’s birthday. She apologized and asked if we would like the birthday cake, I said there’s no point now. We left, the manager followed us outside and apologized. We will not return due to the lack of communication between the staff, bland food and chaotic atmosphere.
If you go there for a special event I suggest talking to the manager directly rather then the hostess.
All of our food was served at once. You’d think a restaurant in Napa would understand timing.
Vacation night out. It’s one of my “go to” restaurants in Napa. Always good and a lovely venue.
We had a lovely easy dinner. Service was great, they were available, but didn't hover. I was watching me figure so I ordered angel hair pasta pomodoro and it was bland, tomatoes are just not great unless they are home grown. I had to add a lot of parm cheese to make it tasty. My partner ordered the saffron pappardelle in Shrimp Bisque sauce and it was super yummy and caloric I am sure. The Moscow Mule drink specials were the best I have ever had- so refreshing and yummy. The portobello mushroom over polenta was great, but wanted more mushroom and less polenta. I wish they would serve authentic, crusty sourdough bread with dinner. Thanks. Will probably try another restaurant next time as the food was average, but ambiance was sweet.
