The tastiest dinner and dessert I have ever had! The atmosphere was elegant and festive. The tiramisu was divine!
Always great food every tine we visit. Have been there many times. A local favorite!!!
Nice place , good service but under average food quality. Needs improvement.
Great Italian food in an old bank building. Service was very quick. Food and drinks were out within minutes of ordering.
Little pricey, but great for date night. Everything tasted amazing.
What a wonderful find! We drove in from the Bay Area, and I read about this restaurant on Yelp a couple of days before and decided to make a reservation. I am so glad I did! We loved it all! The architecture of the restaurant is really interesting, with tables on the upper level as well as the lower. Our server, Arleen, was professional, efficient, and very nice, helping to make the entire evening enjoyable. We had the mani-mahi and the veal, and it was all absolutely delicious. Am I supposed to say something negative? I won't! We will definitely return another time!
One of my favorite restaurants in Napa. Always a great meal with fantastic service. Had the mahi mahi special, which was amazing!
Foods is always very good!! This our 3rd visit - we were here in November 2018, last month and 3 days ago. We always get the same server on these visits. Erika was the server - on our fist visit she offered the dessert menu, we ordered tiramisu (which she highly recommended); it took her 10-15 minutes to tell us they ran of it. Wow - this is not good!! We let it go. The 2nd visit was okay.
The 3rd visit - the service went downhill!! - she served us bread, and I asked for butter, which never came until I asked another server or the hostess, had to wait 15 minutes for the butter :((. At the end of our meal, Erika walked by our table to check on us - then asked if we wanted more water - water never came until we asked someone for it. I was reluctant to tip, but if tips are shared with the team I wouldn’t want the others to not get tip because of her. So I asked - I think he’s the manager?? - he said Erika gets most of it - so I didn’t tip her. I paid the bill. On our way out, the manager offered to take care of our bill. What a nice gesture!! Yes, we’ll be back, but will request another server.
The server was excellent! The pasta was under cooked to the point of being crunchy, I ordered garlic and olive oil on my pasta (which was supposed to be angel hair pasta and I received Zeti) but I received tomato sauce... it was VERY loud, it was not an enjoyable expectancies. I will not be back.
We ate in the vault. As the restaurant is a former bank, they have a small room that was the bank's vault. Fun experience. I understand it can be too warm during the summer, but it was fine for us in March. The food and service was excellent.
Ambience and service were great, but food was okay. Was hoping for more.
Good choices, good atmosphere, good noise level for conversation, booths are very comfortable, very friendly and welcoming staff, soup could have been hotter when served. Water, wine, etc., goes on the right and server consistently put in on the left (?) Makes me wonder about training? Server was very nice, however, and appropriately attentive.
Great atmosphere. Good food and service. What more could you ask.
It was good but found better Italian restaurants in the area...
We had a good meal here - don’t fill up on the bread, which is excellent with the dipping oil, because you’ll be too full to enjoy your meal. LOVED the flank steak, highly recommend. Our server was friendly and welcoming and had the perfect amount of attention.
Went went here after being disappointed at 2 other well known restaurants in the area and this was a breath of fresh air. The food was DELICIOUS and the service was great. We ordered the pesto gnocchi, mushroom ravioli and the teriyaki steak and all were perfect.
This restaurant was noisy, crowded and expensive
I would not go back.
Celebrated second year anniversary at Restorante Allegria. Brought a bottle from buena vista (corkage fee 25$) & enjoyed a Romantic evening with my love with some good food & wine! Place is good service is great, will be coming back again soon.
Excellent service. Food portions are huge but delicious!
I think it normally would be a better experience, but some awful smell flooded the restaurant. Many of the patrons were affected and although a door was opened, the smell lingered. The first meal we had in Napa could have been better.
We were there on 3/16/19. I don't think we were check in via the OpenTable. Please check us in so we can get our OpenTable points. Thank you.
Farewell to a friend.
Very disappointed in this restaurant. First, we were seated at a table behind the reception counter which had a serious slope to the top making us fear that any drinks we would order would slide right off. When we asked if we could change locations, we were seated in a booth directly in front of the live accordian player who was loudly tapping his foot to keep time. Very distracting. It was much too noisy to hold any kind of conversation. The tables were much too close to the seating to the point of being uncomfortable. The service was slow, the food mediocre, and the entire experience not what we would have expected.
This was a return visit from last year. Loved it then and even better now. Service was spot-on, friendly, and efficient. Food was delicious.
Always a delightful treat to dine here. It’s a perfect meet in the middle place for us to gather. We’ve been coming for several years and have never had a bad experience. We will be back.
We ate there twice over Valetines weeken. Good food and derby. The bread pudding was outstanding.
Amazing! The restaurant had a great vibe with nice lighting decor and atmosphere. The food portions were very plentiful and none of my party of three could finish our entrees completely. The mushroom ravioli was outstanding along with the pappardelle which came with five huge shrimp which tasted like lobster. My son had the chef change the veal piccata to chicken and they gladly made the dish which was fantastic. Our server was so energetic and upbeat a total joy. I highly recommend a reservation as they were really busy and I’m glad we had one!
Better than in Italy!
Fantastic atmosphere with excellent wine choices and delicious seafood
We found Ristorante Allegria on Yelp and decided to try it because I saw the Pappardelle and it looked amazing. It turned out to taste amazing as well. I don't know how the mushrooms are made, but it tasted so good. My friends all liked their dishes too, they ordered the Rigatoni, angel hair pasta, and one other one I can't remember.
Dining at Ristorante Allegria, whether it be lunch or dinner, is always guaranteed to be a wonderful experience. The cocktails and available wines are amazing and the food is excellent with the service to match. I have been going to this restaurant since it opened in 2002 and it is always on point with everything. Wonderful job Baris!
We love the food at Allegria, esp. soups and specials. The wines are well chosen and very good as well, and the wait people here always give us good advice on the menu!
Suffered by comparison to the restaurant we went to the night before. Loud with average fare.
Excellent Italian cuisine. Home made pasta and sauces. Highly recommend, make reservations.
Food and service was amazing, restaurant was pretty loud though.
Beautiful space--too bad the food and service don't quite live-up-to it's promise of a special evening. Everyone is friendly, and our server seemed more interested in socializing with the other servers than paying attention to us. So, he forgot our cocktail, didn't bring a steak knife for the steak, we had to flag him down constantly--but he was very nice when we did. The food is ok--it's not bad it's not great--its ok and expected, no real surprises or special ingredients.
This has been one of our favorites for the past few years. Was very disappointed with the food. Not sure if it was because it was Valentine's day and they were busy? Will we come back? So many choices there that we may not risk getting another bad meal.
The food was outstanding. We did feel rushed. Our reservation was for 7:30. We left the restaurant at 8:40.
That isn’t a lot of time on a special day and for $180.
First visit to Allegria. Very attractive restaurant and it was very busy. Service was fine. Food was below average. My wife has scallops on risotto. The rice was not arborio; in fact it tasted like fluffy white rice with green peas. Not even close to resembling a risotto. I had the lobster ravioli. Ravioli was OK but there was no lobster to be found. The ravioli was covered with so much bisque sauce that I couldn't even tell if the ravioli was lobster flavored. Definitely not a repeat experience.
