My sister and I made a reservation at Ristorante Allegria on a whim while visiting Napa Valley. She was craving a steak and I wanted pasta! We were not disappointed with the customer service, ambience, or quality in our food. We did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy a nice three course meal. The presentation of the food was phenomenal and the food was nirvana on the taste buds. We have already decided to visit the area annually and will make sure that Ristorante Allegria is a 'go to' spot. Thank you!
don't even think twice. Book a reservation and enjoy it all! Homemade pasta, sauces & wines are great.
Food here is always excellent. While it has a California influence in food, unlike some “California Food” it has Italian size portions. There was a live accordion player (also excellent)playing bistro dining classics. Really fun place. More pricey than what I usually pay but for fine dining in Napa, hard to beat.
Excellent choice in downtown Napa. Located in an old bank building makes for a quaint ambiance.
Food was great.
After a full day of wine tasting, my date and I decided to get some authentic Italian food and we couldn't have picked a better location. Nestled in downtown Napa, we were greeted by a wonderful host that accommodated our reservation quickly. We brought our own wine to dinner so I can't comment on the wine list, but it is likely safe to assume it is quality. The dinner we ordered included two of the best pasta plates either of us have enjoyed. Couldn't recommend this restaurant any higher to potential patrons. We will be returning when we come back to Napa!
Excellent food and service! We had not dined at Ristorante Allegria for several years so we decided to give it a try. We were impressed! All the personnel were so helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. We will be returning again!
Delicious food with delicate dish presentation. Warm and welcoming ambiance. Cocktails is refreshing and tasty.
Great menu with multiple options and nice variety. Wine and cocktail selection excellent. Service prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Nice portion sizes too. Recommend the pasta with mushrooms. Good location with parking a bit sparse but easy walk around town.
Nice location restaurant is housed in a beautiful restored building. Service was good, too crowded, wait staff kept bumping into the back of our chairs. It has two levels, we were on the main dining room. The upstairs looked really nice, but cannot tell service level. The food was good, run of the mill Italian food. Nothing stood out, but very good.
Thank you Ristorante for honoring our reservation, though we came in late. Good food. Love the salad and pasta dishes.
This restaurant never disappoints. Outstanding service, beautiful ambiance and mouthwatering Italian dishes. Ristorante Allegria is located in downtown Napa, walking distance to shops, wine bars, hotels and downtown festivals. The gnocchi al pesto and wild mushroom ravioli we enjoyed were beautifully presented, delicious to the last bite and paired well with Frank Family Zinfandel.
Perhaps I chose the wrong menu items, but everything tasted sweet. The dipping oil had caramelized onions, the teriyaki steak, and a couple other menu items. It’s worth going back, but I would definitely look for more savory choices and skip the caramelized onions.
The dining room is exquisite and wonderfully quiet. Fabulous arugula salad, perfectly paired wine with fresh pastas and flavorful preparations .... quite a find!
Lunch with great food and beautiful atmosphere
I asked my server to talk with the chef about which entrees have lower sodium, he came back and said any of their pasta dishes. I ordered a penne pasta dish that turned out to be delicious but VERY salty. Tasted great but I paid dearly for it that night and the next day.
The dining room is beautiful. The service was excellent as was the food. The capellini pomodoro and the gnocchi pesto were both excellent and the servings are very generous. The cheesecake was also excellent. We will certainly return to Allegria.
Was pleased with the whole experience. The food was very good. Not a large menu but plenty to satisfy everyone.
My Wife raves about the polenta, so whenever I ask where she wishes to go for dinner, I know the answer before she speaks ! I enjoy the kitchen willingness to combine ingredients from various menu items. We go to Allegria whenever we are in Napa.
One of my go to reataurants in Napa.
I especially like their lunch box special, Monday thru Friday. It is a three course lunch for $18.00. Great value for Napa.
Service was swift
Sat at the bar. Great experience. Food was really good. Portebella mushroom appetizer. Sausage and pepper rigatoni was excellent. We will be back when back in town.
My husband ordered chicken with garlic mash potatoes and spinach and I ordered mahi with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach. While the meat and spinach was good, the mashed potatoes that were supposed to be garlic tasted bland and was only edible if eaten with the meat or spinach. The service was good and attentive however the atmosphere was too noisy for us to even hear on another speak. So while we were celebrating a special occasion it sure didn't feel like that at this restaurant.
Best Italian food we have ever had, bar none. Would highly recommend to anyone. My son said that was the best meal he has ever had .
I really appreciate the gluten free offerings. More would be better.
Our table was ready on time for our arrival. Our server, John was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and understand the dietary restrictions of some in our group. We were disappointed they no longer carried Sequoia Grove Cab. Food was served hot and quickly. We will be back, highly recommended.
A favorite place in downtown Napa. Great all around.
We come here every once in a while, it's one of our favorites and makes a great date spot! Service is great, food is always delicious!
The food was very good, as was the service. Prices are fair for the quality of the food. The ambiance (old, historic bank building) is very nice. Would recommend for romantic dinner with that special someone, or for dinner out with friends.
Amazing experience, as always!
Very busy, food was great. I was in a party of 3 and asked for a table by the balcony rail, we were sat next to a waiter station against a wall at a booth that could have sat 6. The hostess told us the table we wanted was for a party of 6, they subsequently sat a party of 4. They could have done better by us. The food and ambiance was amazing so thanks was made only complaint. We were out of towners so it would have been exceptional memorable had they accommodated.
Good service and fairly priced. Two of us had the pasta and the sauce was bland. In general...it is a large restaurant and serves many...so it is more oriented to serving in "bulk". Good food not great.
I was completely disappointed by this place. I had reserved a table via Open Table only to arrive and have to wait nearly 45minutes for a table! We were there for my boyfriend's birthday which I noted in the reservation and to the waitress--- so I was hoping we would be able to have an enjoyable dinner. To my surprise, they tried moving us out like cattle! If you paused or put down your fork for even a second the waitress and busser were picking up your dish.
In fact, my boyfriend had a fork size bite just inches to his mouth when the waitress came and grabbed his entree away--while simultaneously asking if he was done! Of course he wasn't! But, it's slightly disgusting when someone pulls your plate away and then tries to set it back in front of you. Mood ruined.
We had to ask if we could have dessert, and frankly we probably should have skipped it. The waitress was circling our table like a vulcher.
We waited longer than we were allowed to stay at our table.
Food wise--- go somewhere else! Not only were they rude here but the food was incredibly salty and my pasta was a joke!
Great service, food and ambiance made it an enjoyable experience.
Would highly recommend. Overall great ambiance, fantastic food. Noice level where you can hear one another.
My husband and I were in town for a show at the Uptown Theatre. We had an early dinner at Ristorante Allegra. Our dinner was very enjoyable, delicious appetizer, pasta dishes, wine, but most of all we had the sweetest server who added to our evening. Ashley was delightful and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. She took some time to give us a little history about the restaurant and the the theatre . She was very attentive and we never felt overlooked. It was a great start to our evening in Napa. We will go back and definitely ask for Ashley!!!
We enjoyed a great lunch, I ordered the fixed price three course special with the skirt steak. It was pretty rare for me, so I sent it back, and received a quickly corrected dish, beautifully arranged on the clean plate. Perfect, and superb service. This is a nice local place for lunch, with tasty salads and pasta. I highly recommend, and it is consistent with food quality and service.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Much more expensive than usual, since we are local, we know the difference, but overall still a great experience.
Considering we live in New York and it was Valentine's Day in Napa..all being said..it was a great experience. The food was great, ambiance was great, waitress was great...it was a fun evening. Even the wine was good....ya think . I highly recommend this restaurant.
Interesting multi-level building with lots of separate dining areas. Great service, really good food.
