Rio's in Addison (South American Cuisine)
I've been there several times and have always had a good experience. The food is very good and something different for this area. I always recommend it. The only problem is service is sometimes a little slow. This has not been the case every time I've been there and should not stop anyone from going.
Our server was very helpful describing menu options. However, my meal came out cold.
Food here is excellent. Feels like a downtown restaurant in the suburbs. Definitely a hidden gem.
The food and Mojitos were great, and the server was knowledgeable about the menu, very helpful. Great service. We will definitely be returning.
We came for a Christmas Eve dinner. The staff was exceptional. The food was on point. The steaks are insanely good. We may have to make this a new tradition!
Food was great! But service was slow. I’ll still continue going there because the food is definitely worth it. One of my favorite places to eat.
Wow. Hesitated to try this one for years because we’re not familiar with South American food. Big mistake. The food was awesome. Fantastic flavors and food combinations. Plan to take friends and recommend to others.
Absolutely perfect. Stephan was really on top of things. Very helpful in helping us choose our appetizers & entree. First time to South American cuisine. We will make this place a regular. Thanks Stephen!
They serve a type of bread stick that is great, as is the skirt steak dishes
I had lunch with a friend who had never been to Rios. She was very impressed with the food, the service and the ambience.
My husband and I wanted to try something different and Rio's was just the spot! The menu had photos of EVERY dish which made it super easy to choose. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and cannot wait to go back to try other new dishes. Definitely a hidden gem in Addison!!
Very flavorful from the beginning to end.
I love this place, the food is delicious and everyone is so nice the service is great.
Great food that made a date night even better.
Great service, nice ambiance. Recommend the Ceviche wraps and the empanada, delicious.
Tried the MILANESA A LA PROVENZANA, but it was too salty. The ARROZ CON MARISCOS was tasty and lots of seafood.
Recommend for special occasion with appetizer, entre, drink, coffee & dessert came out to be about $55 per person.
Always good food and great service , including the new young man he was adorable
Food was great. But the waitress kept bringing us our tab when we weren't finished.
Everything was great, food wine selection and service. Thanks
This restaurant was suggested as a meeting point by our friends from the north side. After looking at the menu online, we were intrigued. We certainly were not disappointed. Everything was delicious. We ordered the Peruvian Sampler appetizer with ceviche, tamale, chicken and potato. The little toast sticks for the table were very tasty with the chimichurri sauce. You will not be disappointed. All our entrees were wonderful !
Fabulous place - great food - - we will be back - great atmosphere
Rio's is one of my favorite restaurants and the few places that I visit regularly. Their menu is full of creative cuisine and I have never had a disappointing meal. I highly recommend Rio's if you are a meat or seafood lover (and/or eat gluten free) because they have a lot of great options.
Amazing! Diamond in the rough!
Outstanding experience. Our server, Tony, was friendly, helpful, and professional the entire night. He assisted with the wine and food selections. They were excellent. The food is great. Staff was top notch. We dined outside on a beautiful evening. It was our first visit to Rio's and we will be back.
My favorite place in Addison. Service is outstanding and the food is superb.
Really good food and service. The shrimp soup was fantastic!
Service was very attentive. There was a special for Wednesday night and it was special. The food was served at the proper temperature and was great.
The evening was a beautiful summers' evening. We got to sit outside. There was nobody in the restaurant at 7:15PM on a FRI evening. The wait staff was not very attentive and it took 15 minutes to get our drinks before dinner. The waitress was not all that familiar with the menu as we asked for suggestions. By 8:20PM we had our dinner. The Peruvian lasagna had the potential to be tasty as the flavors were complementary but unimaginative. My wife's noodle dish was also quite bland. The promised bread was forgotten. All of this would be understandable with a lower-rated restaurant (we used TripAdvisor and YELP) or one that had moderately-priced food, but not from a $20/plate average meal price. We live in the area and just will not go back.
Been there before- this time food was good but the service was very slow. Disappointed with visit
It was our first time there we were celebrating our GF'S Bday it literally took 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge us After I asked a server if he knew who was servicing our table. Food is good but not the greatest. Live music was awesome though.. I would give this place another try but not on the top of the list of places to go back to!
Servers were spread thin.
The food was phenomenal! We will definitely be returning. They had so many unique options and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection.
My husband and I have been to Rios several times now… Each time we go back the food is the same… Delicious. If you love South American food with a flare and authenticity I recommend Rios every time. They never let us down.
This restaurant is a real gem and I am glad my wife and I decided to try it. The ambiance is nice and the south American dishes are awesome and unique in this area. The dishes are significant and I've never had the room to try dessert, but look forward to that sometime. Oh and the free fried bread appetizer is delicious!
Really tadty food from a unique menu. Service was great too.
The food was excellent. The live music on Fridays really adds to the ambiance.
What a great place. Was in the mood for something different. Rios exceeded my expectations
So glad we took a chance. Amazing food and even better dessert! The atmosphere was quaint and the live music was a very nice touch.
Extremely friendly staff
Food is great! Environment is very inviting! Owner amazes me that he waits tables - love that guy, Tony! I go back often and have recommended it often. Everybody is always glad they went. And the live music makes it that much more fun! Looking forward to my next visit there.
